We spoke with Gene during the call about what we were looking for specifically and he had some ideas. When we arrived Gene showed us the options he thought we might like for an indoor tree. After looking around the entire nursery we ended up getting one of the options he suggested. It is on reserve for two weeks while the tree is uprooted and in the meanwhile I will be looking for a beauty pot with the suggested dimensions. Gene was super helpful and friendly. He is extremely knowledgeable and our dog loved him. We would absolutely return and purchase more items in the future.

The two lovely owners were super helpful and patient with explaining to us on how to care for this gorgeous $35 baby ficus tree we got. They gave us a ton of tips and advice as we had told them that we have no experience at all and hope this baby ficus will last a long time with us! We noticed they dont have an official parking lot. There is a very small section right at the front, immediately after you turn in, and thats where you can park. There looks to be a drive down but a clear sign that says no parking. So definitely hope luck is with you for parking!

I…read morepurchased a beautiful, colorful California Sunset Plumeria plant as well as some fertilizer as I am a plumeria enthusiast. I noticed they had on display in their booth, a poster of a plumeria plant with purple flowers. I inquired about it and was told it was called a Purple Jack Plumeria. It was really gorgeous and pretty rare to see! I was told by German Velasco, the man running the booth that they had sold out last week of this plant, but had some still available at their nursery in Avocado Heights. Thus, my hubby and I made a trek out to Avocado Heights/Hacienda Heights in search of this particular flower. The nursery is located in a residential neighborhood, so don't get freaked out when you are looking for it and find yourself among a bunch of houses. But don't be fooled. This nursery is HUGE!!!!! When we pulled up to the place, I was AMAZED as the whole front part of the nursery was covered in potted plumeria plants of every size, every color, every type. It was INSANE! If you are into plumeria plants and looking for something rare and beautiful this is the place to shop for sure!!! Never in my life have I seen so many plumeria plants. It looked like a plumeria plant forest, and I am not exaggerating here! We did not venture to the back where all the other plants were, but believe me this place was huge! I was greeted by German's father, Aurelio and told him I was looking for the Purple Jack Plumeria plant. He was very nice and took me through their forest of plumeria plants. Among that forest of plumeria plants sat two 7 gallon pots containing the plant I was looking for. It was nice and healthy looking. In all honesty all of their plants look well cared for and very healthy looking. I was able to make my purchase no hassle, no fuss. In addition to plumeria plants, they sell a variety of plants including: bamboos, ferns, fruit trees, tropical plants/flowers, succulents, palms, bulbs, shrubs and so much more. They also do landscaping services. This nursery is open Monday-Saturday 10 AM - 5PM and Sunday from 11 AM - 5 PM. They accept cash or credit card as well. This place is definitely a hidden gem!

Last summer I was searching for a bat flower & one nursery I called, claimed "no one carries them in Southern California because they can't grow here" ... which is laughable considering a lot of stuff isn't native here but still grows ! Anyways yes there was ONE bat flower plant left. It was quite pricey too around $110. I didn't buy since I have my own plant now (which hasn't flowered yet). I was a bit disappointed when I asked for help. I have been looking for an Egg Magnolia (Magnolia liliifera) which are very hard to find ! When asking the employee, she asked a colleague with her hand held radio. She tried a few times, but no response. She then showed me the very small selection of Magnolias they have - which wasn't much at all. I honestly didn't think she knew what an Egg Magnolia is. Really if you work at a nursery you should know more about plants, because from my interaction I could tell it was her first time hearing about this specific plant. If you're looking for rare plants, you may find what you're looking for. The inventory is quite vast & overwhelming. I suppose for an average person not looking for anything specific, this place would be lovely. I purchased an agave celsii nova for my front yard & a white rhino agave - 6" pot for around $80 which is a steal ! I have not seen them that low anywhere.

We got a very cute little money tree for $10 inside a cute pot! We went to another nursery and saw the same size trees/smaller than the ones at Temple for about the same price but sold without a nice ceramic pot, so this was definitely a better buy here. We also got this really cute little bamboo that was also sold within a nice ceramic pot for about $10. When we got to the register we saw the same bamboo in the same pot behind the register, but it looked healthier. I said to my boyfriend, "Do you think we should ask to get that one instead?" The cashier overheard and grabbed the nicer bamboo and got it ready for us! He even grabbed some of the stalks from the other bamboo plant we originally grabbed and transplanted it into our new pot to give us even more/make it look bigger and nicer. Again, he did all this without us even asking or saying anything so this was super nice!! They also have cheap pots here that are very traditional chinese looking with the painted flowers and birds. We bought a beautiful pot for only $9 here with a cute little drip tray that almost looked like a teacup saucer at restaurants. They also had some $3 small pots that would be great for succulents. The pots were kinda dirty and covered in spiderwebs, but honestly the price was good and they were still in great condition so i didnt care LOL They had some funny little animal pots too with frogs and elephants. This place was cute and affordable and the staff was nice to us, so id go back again! Just wish i had a yard so i could get some of these fruit trees! Parking was easy. They have a little lot, but the spots are a little tight. It wasn't an issue, though! They also take credit card here.
