They will guide you through the a-la-carte screws, nails, nuts, and bolts with expertness, making sure that the style, strength, and size of the hardware fits your project's needs. The prices for most items are competitive with big box stores-- items like PVC pipe, wood filler, and hardware are cheaper at Altadena Hardware in a side-by-side comparison to big box stores. If you purchase materials like wood or pipe, they can cut it for you for transport! The selection of paint, hardware, garden supplies, light bulbs, power tools, adhesives, and most other typical household hardware needs are excellent. Based on size, they don't stock as much lumber or appliances as big box stores. Very helpful -- they do cartridge exchange for Soda Stream!! And have many options of Soda Stream flavorings. They also sell local honey up at the cash register! Altadena Hardware is my first choice for hardware needs!

This is a neighborhood store that isn't too large, but it carries excellent ACE product offerings, including paint supplies and paint. There's always someone available to mix colors and prepare your paint. You can actually browse paint colors on their website, which may be helpful for getting ideas before your visit. Masters had the product when I arrived; checkout was quick and friendly. Tips: I parked on the street; their parking is way in the back and can't be seen from the street. My car doesn't like that. The showroom had a wide variety of kitchen and bath options which could be overwhelming but Sal took his time explaining all the options and helped us made the right decision. They have dedicated parking but Palmetto St is a bit difficult to come in and out of with many cars parked on the street, so be patient.
