Bought a $3 part and they charged an undisclosed $20 to ship it. What's worse is that the part arrived without the gasket. Someone had punch a hole in the bag, took out the gasket and then placed tape over the hole. Unbelievable. Every time I called their customer service number, I got an operator for whom English was a second language who gave me the runaround about when I could expect delivery. I ordered it in April. They told me it would be delivered in June. It's now July. Their website says the order is "null" whatever that means and still no tracking number and no delivery date. I ordered it again, this time from American Best Pool Supply. I immediately got an email from Sonny saying that the lead time was 3 weeks, was that okay or did I want to cancel. Wow! After calling with no response, I then emailed company. I was looking for a slide and had questions. I emailed them and their sales dept. no salesman answered and did not add a name for me to contact. I emailed him back after he said he had the slide and it would take 2- days to get. I asked him again if he could call me do to I had some questions for him regarding the slide. He emailed me back stating that price was for me to pick up the slide with a large truck and lots of straps. if I did not have those two items, he would not release items to me. I again emailed him and asked him for his name and gave him my phone number again to call me due to i still had questions. His reply was: "Sorry no offer here because I already offer you to pick up from here." I wanted pricing for shipping and for me to pick up, as well as a few more questions. I emailed again asking for him to call me. His reply was: "Instruction is clear, If you are no comfortable doing online, sorry I cannot help it at this time. Online is Safe and Secure than take order by phone with your personal credit card no. We do not see your CC no. by order online." If I am going to spend $4k on a slide, I expect professionalism and someone to contact me in regards to my concerns." My concerns were never addressed and for that I will never do any business with this company. It is pretty shady if you cannot answer any questions for a big sale. This was a truly wonderful find! Our pool/spa heater went belly up after keeping it alive 20 years! My husband researched the replacement he wanted and I researched the best price. We normally buy everything through our local pool supply place, but we really couldn't beat the price that we got from Sonny. It was $900 less than anyone else on line and our pool guy said I can't come anywhere close to the price you are getting. It was so low, in fact, that I asked Sonny if it was refurbished! Very poor customer service in regards to a delayed order. They've received our payment of over $2000 dollars weeks ago and never notified us that our item is back ordered. I emailed the Sales department as instructed. I live four hours away and was debating shipping and inquiring costs. The Sales representative was very rude over email. Not understand at all of the my concerns with upgrading to a more expensive model. Literally told me to stop email them because they were getting tired of me. Very unprofessional. Found a pool heater from American Best Pool Supply and made a purchase. Says new in a box, all good. On Google they also advertise "No Tax". As many others, they discount amount equal to what tax would be - sounded great. Completed purchase online - charging tax. ?? OK, charging tax is a law, but why advertise such discount? Still was better deal, I went for it. A little time passes and I get an email saying the heater is actually refurbished and and "pending for the circuit board availability. We weren't ready to sell this heater yet". And "there is no manufacturer's warranty for this heater". What? Contacted manufacturer - they do not release refurbished with parts missing. Called place - first person says they don't sell refurbished. Huh?? Second jump in and says the heater was actually really damaged, real bad. When asked why would you even place that for sale online and advertise as new - replied they need to cut our conversation real short. We all make mistakes. If this was an online mistake, tell me and all good. I would not press for a business to loose money. I would buy from place that admits such - honest businesses are prized entities and to be supported. This was too many steps to go through to be mistake, looks and feels just like bait and switch. Someone paced this thing for sale online, and cancelled in three hours. On Sunday no less. Then stories, backpedaling, just getting deeper and deeper. Why can't everything be this easy. In April, my 20 year old pool heater went out. I've repaired maybe 20 times before, but this time it was beyond repair. While looking for a new heater, I came across America's Best Pool Supply and Sonny. They had great prices, close to what I can get mail order, but did not have their own installer and I really didn't want to do that work. Sonny suggested Keith Stronach from Stronach Pools who does most of his work for him. A bit hesitant, I went ahead and made the initial contact and scheduled a site survey with him to make sure he could do it. Keith said no problem and gave me a reasonable price for the work involved. I went ahead and ordered the heater and at the same time I ordered 3 Jandy valves for him to replace at that time as they too were 20 years old. After an almost all-day job, Keith replaced almost all of the pipes (he thought the original installer did a poor job and he wanted to fix it right), the valves, and the heater and hauled away the old one. When I questioned them, the response was the item was discontinued. American Best Pool Supply is a Jandy distributor, I know that's not true. I am very happy i purchased this pump with them because they gave me advice on the pump i was getting and turns out i was buying a pump that was not compatible with my plumbing and they happily changed it for another pump that would work for my pool and i ended up saving money too. I needed to order a brand new pump according to my pool guy since I've been using him for years now. Even though I was a loyal customer to him, I was going to be charged around $900 for a 1.5 HP Pentair Whisperflo pump. I couldn't and wouldn't pay that much for just a pump so I decided to look online and found American Best Pool Supply. First thing I noticed was the website was clean and presentable. I searched through the website pretty easily and found what I wanted and could not believe the prices that were on there. It was so cheap! I was thinking that these pumps must be used so I gave them a call on their toll free number and they assured me that all the pumps were straight from the manufacturer with their warranties in tact. They even gave suggestions about what I should get with my pool system like going with a variable speed pump since Southern California Edison was offering $200 rebates at the time. I couldn't go with that deal since it wasn't in my budget. They were very professional about it and understood my situation. After my talk with their customer service rep, I placed an order the next day feeling great since I saved about $400. I got it the day after which was super fast (even though they are also in Southern California) and my pump was in excellent condition. I couldn't be more happier about my purchase.
