Unfortunately, Anderson Pool has been the worst experience I have had with a pool company. I initially hired Anderson Pool to install mini pebble, a salt cell, and an autofill system. While the mini pebble itself turned out okay, we immediately began having problems with the autofill making noise and keeping us awake at night. I contacted Mike and explained that we never had this problem before their work was completed. Initially, he insisted it was not related to their installation. I eventually paid a separate plumber to inspect the issue, and I was told the noise was coming from the autofill. Mike later came out and made an adjustment. We also began experiencing issues with the salt cell. Since Anderson Pool had installed the equipment, I decided it would make sense to hire them for ongoing pool maintenance as well. Unfortunately, that created even more problems. After their pool technician changed the filter, I noticed water leaking from underneath my filter equipment. I called Laura, the office manager, because it was after hours and I did not know what I should do. I ultimately turned the pool off for the night. The following morning, I contacted Mike for guidance and was told Laura handled the service issues. When Laura called me, the conversation became extremely unpleasant. She was upset that I had contacted them regarding the problem and told me I could not keep calling them for issues. I explained that their service had left me with a leaking pool system and additional work that I did not know how to handle. I asked for the pool technician's phone number so I could communicate directly with him, and she refused to provide it. The conversation became argumentative, and I finally told her they could cancel my service and bill me for the month. Afterward, Mike told me he would personally come to my home, make sure everything was handled correctly, and supervise my pool service going forward. Based on that conversation, I believed the situation had been resolved. Two weeks later, however, nobody had returned to service my pool. I called to find out when the technician was coming back to correct the issue and maintain the pool, only to be told that my service had been canceled. I was shocked because after my conversation with Mike, I had understood that he was going to oversee the service moving forward. At the very least, I believe someone should have notified me that they had decided to discontinue service so I could immediately arrange for another company to maintain my pool. This has been an extremely frustrating experience, particularly because my previous pool company maintained my pool for approximately seven years until we moved, and I never experienced anything like this. My wife and I contacted several pool companies in hopes of finding the right company to remodel our 50 year old pool and eyesore of a backyard. With the expense we were about to shell out, along with the construction horror stories we've all heard, major paranoia and anxiety had taken over. From day 1 Mike helped put us at ease with a no pressure sales approach. And after all the phone calls and meetings held at our home, we felt very comfortable moving forward with Mike. Mike and his crew ran a very regimented schedule: If they said demo would be 2 days; demo took 2 days. Work was done daily. There was no, "We'll be back in a few days" business here. So much in fact, the overall job was completed ahead of schedule. About 2 months. **Side note: we have a neighbor down the street who is also putting in a pool. Their company started before us and still has not finished. Costs were what has estimated, and never met with additional expenses that we did not induce ourselves. Yes, Mike is busy. You will have to understand you are not his only customer, and if he doesn't answer your phone call....He will get back to you! We found that text was a faster response, but would also end in a phone call when available. In the end, our backyard was transformed from an old dingy neglected motel pool into an inviting oasis. We added a spa, raised the pool depth from 8.5 to 5'. We went with Aqua blue micro pebble, 3 LED lights in the pool and 1 in the spa, a baja step with an umbrella slot/opening, new concrete with drainage which was something I was super excited about as I've peaked into my middle aged man homeowner stage. Needless to say, I am glad construction is over and I am glad to have my house back to myself, but I am also glad my wife and I made the right choice with Mike and his company. Had our pool and half our backyard remodeled by Mike and the team a little over a year ago. Everything was great throughout most of the process, even when we had an issue with the slide once they were completed. Had to have his crew come out a few times to fix the slide as it had a couple rough spots and would scrape your butt or legs on the way down. He handled that situation as a real professional and took care of it until we were happy.
