Our Pentair master temp 400 Pool heater unit suddenly turned on by itself during a recent rain storm and we were stunned to discover our pool and spa completely heated in the middle of February. In case anyone is wondering, yes, I took advantage of it and went swimming that day to make the best of the situation and it was awesome although I am not looking forward to my gas bill :). I called Clint and described the issue and he was very quick to respond. I could tell right away that he was experienced and familiar with this problem.This is apparently a known issue with these units, which is something I also discovered after researching it on the Internet. He instructed me to close the valve to prevent the flow of gas to prevent any further heating in case the unit attempted to turn back on. Clint arrived a couple of days later, based on his schedule. It was clear he had researched the issue and had already obtained the correct replacement part in advance. He repaired the temperature controller and we haven't had any issues since. We greatly appreciate how quickly he replied to this request and other issues we've encountered with our pool in the past. I believe Clint is the best at his craft in this local area. I haven't encountered anyone else who is as technically competent, and customer oriented as Clint when it comes to pool repair. His fees are also quite reasonable. I called Clint who arrived early to my place to check my pool heater that would not start. He diagnosed the problem promptly that it was a bad pilot igniter. I appreciated the fact that he initially tried to clean it. Unfortunately, the igniter was too messed up that he ended up replacing it. Clint had the part available with him. The repair surely fixed the problem, and the pool heater was working again. His prices were fair. BTW, I called Clint after another repair guy had misdiagnosed the problem as a bad blower fan and claimed that he could not do the repair because my pool heater was too old to find a replacement part for it.
