My pool heater was not working, & I replaced the membrane pad. It was still not working. When I called Marshal, he guided me what to double check. He was right and the heater worked, but I still had some other issues. So I had him come out, and he took the time to explain a bunch of stuff, including small repairs and upgrades that I am able to do myself. He adjusted my pumps RPM's, so the pool will clean up better during filter mode. I found him to be very knowledgeable. Marshall is THE MAN! I had a significant leak in my pump diagnosed as an issue with the shaft seals. My existing pool guys refused to touch it. I ended up contacting 10 other pool companies. Three didn't reply, three stated it was impossible to find parts for my pump (while also misidentifying my pump), two recommended a new pump+panel without seeing my pump. One quoted me 2x what Marshall quoted. Then there was Marshall. Replied within minutes to a 7 am text. Super friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Explained what he was doing. Didn't try to upsell into replacing all equipment. Found a broken piece (cracked impeller) no one else had seen. Called his supplier and found the parts. Marshall and his team did a great job diagnosing the issue I had with my spa and the grout line that was cracking above the top row of the spa tile. A previous company tried fixing the issue a year and a half ago and they obviously didn't know what they were doing because it started cracking again. Marshall pointed out what was done wrong and what the proper long term fix would be. They did the repair in one day and so far so good. Not only did they fix the issue but they also re-aligned the top row of flagstone properly so that the waterfall effect was uniform across the entire face of my spa, something that was lacking since the previous fix attempt. They even helped me out when an end cap of my patio cover fell off. They drilled it back into place. I can't say enough good things about SoCal Pool remodeling. Four pool contractors, big and small, licensed and not (I called close to 15 during the process), they all fell short. I am an engineer; I have worked in and around construction professionally for years. I drew all my plans in 3D and provided full electrical and mechanical 2D drawings, fully stamped by the city and quite easy to follow. Not one of the four could follow them, let alone be trusted with your money or even show up. After 18 months, I had nearly given up until I met Marshall. Talk about a breath of fresh air. My husband Steve and I decided to remodel our pool about 6 months ago and met with several pool contractors, but their prices were excessive and the designs suggested not what we were looking for. We checked out Yelp and saw Marshall's reviews and decided to give him a call. He answered on the first try, set up a meeting in two days and showed up for our appointment even though it was a rainy day. He listened to what we wanted and came up with some great ideas too. In two days we had a quote which was very reasonable. We gave him the go ahead and in three weeks our pool and jacuzzi were done. It was the best decision we ever made for work done around our house!! Even though the pool is already done, Marshall still comes by he cleans our pool and checks the chemicals. He showed us which chemical tester and pool cleaner to use and is always responsive when we call with questions.
