Although I was about to purchase a hot tub from a large, well known dealer in Corona, I decided to look at Custom Spas Direct, which has good online reviews and happens to be very close to our house. I'm glad I did. I was not familiar with the Vita spa brand that Custom Spas Direct sells. There's very little information available online. After doing some digging, I determined that Vita is a decent, mid-range spa with competitive pricing. Nothing fancy, but it's built with good components from companies like Balboa Water Group. Dealing with Custom Spas Direct has been fantastic. It's a small company and we interacted directly with Jim Galpin, the owner. Jim is a straightforward guy and he was very helpful in choosing a spa. Since I was unfamiliar with Vita, I had a lot of questions and he patiently answered all of them. He quickly responded whenever I sent him a text with a question or request. After the purchase, he was super flexible with regard to delivery, setup timing, coordinating with the electrician's schedule, etc. The delivery and setup was quick and well done. The installer did a good job answering all of my questions. We've had the spa six months and have had a couple of minor issues. One was probably due to user error on my part and the other was not. In both cases, Jim responded to my texts immediately and quickly resolved my issue, even during a holiday week. He told me he didn't think the manufacturer had a website but he would call and ask if they did. He told me he called and confirmed there was no website. I became suspicious, because what real business doesn't have a website? Sunny then gave us gave me a brochure for the spa cover. I got the manufacturer's name and looked them up online myself. They do indeed have a website. This is called lying. Their spa covers can be ordered online. He was attempting to charge us a 61% markup. No wonder he didn't want to give me the website. Other issues: My calls always went to an answering machine and we're not returned promptly - sometimes for days. His store was closed on a day I tried to visit durring regular business hours. He is flat out rude on the phone - to the point that I actually asked him if he knew how to talk to a customer. My recommendation is that you look elsewhere.

He told me that he would call me back in 30 minutes, and in less than 30 minutes, he called me right back and informed me that his son Daniel Jr. would be in my place within 15 minutes. Daniel Jr. is polite and respectful, checked my pool pump and timer, and he told me that my pool pump had already given up and needed a replacement. He gave me a quote for a replacement, and his price is within the price range (I already checked how much it will cost to replace it). Daniel Jr. told me that he would come the following day around 7 a.m., and the next day, he was already at my place before 7 am.
