The customer service here is terrible. Think of the worst customer service you've ever had, anywhere, and it's worse than that. The guy that's here is rude and dismissive. Acts extremely bothered, each time I've been here, his demeanor is the same. Today we got here a few minutes before 5:30. They close at 6. Doors were locked. Customers came after us. I have sometimes shopped there, but I find the prices to be very high. Today though I was surprised to see that they are in violation of CA Business and Professions Code. I was shopping for O-rings and picked up one package of one which cost was posted on the sticker on the package at 6.99 plus tax of course. When I went to the register the clerk informed me that the one O-ring was 13.00 plus. When I told the clerk that the posted price was 6.99 he said that was not what came up and proceeded to charge me the new amount not changed or posted. That is illegal, the merchant is responsible to post their new costs on their products or obliged to give the posted price or be in violation of the law. The manager was not there. This store's management is obviously remiss. I know it is not much money but what if they do that on higher ticket items simply because the manager and store personnel are not competent. Management should sharpen up their act; it's not that hard. Listen up Leslies poor management at this store. read more

I really love this location, they're really knowledgeable and helpful. A lot of the times I go in it can be pretty busy and other customers get impatient and take it out on the staff, but as long as you wait your turn and understand that there's only so much they can do at a time, they'll give you really good customer service when they get to you. (maybe i'm more understanding bc i've worked in customer service) I've been treated with nothing but respect when I come in and I leave happy with their suggestions for all my pool needs. Checked their price on 3" chlor tabs online. They had 35lb tubs for $169, which was "reasonable". Went to the Glendora store and that 35lb tub was $199. I said to the clerk "these are $169 online" and he asked "do you have a code?" I said no, they were just on your site for $169, didn't say anything about "online only" or that I needed a code. He said "they're only $169 if you have the code". I pulled up their site on my phone, showed him the ad and said show me where it says that I need a code". He says "you have to sign up for our emails to get the code". I said, your ad doesn't say that... He says, "I'm just telling you how it works...". No apology, no offer to just sell it to me at the advertised price, just a stupid look on his face like I was the idiot. This kid didn't have a clue and shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a retail selling space. Needless to say, I passed... Worked out in the end because I drove on to Johnny's Pool Supply in Covina and got 50lbs of 3" tabs for $179. Too bad for Leslie's, especially since the only other pool supply place in Glendora closed recently. I'll gladly drive 2X further than Leslie's to get to Johnny's in Covina from now on. read more

Overall poor customer service at the Glendora location. Bad attitudes and whatever happen to friendly service. Each time I have been into the store, staff are on their phones and when you ask a question it appears they are put out and seemed bothered by the fact they have to work. Maybe a bad day but three times now. Time to find another pool supply store. read more

Employee Customer Service is the worse here. Went in to this store location on Sunday 5/22/22 at around 2pm. I was looking for a part for a pool light (a bolt and nut). I asked the young man who appeared to be by himself and no other customers in the store. I explained to him what I needed and he immediately told me they did not have what I was looking for and immediately walked away to look outside the window of the store as if he was waiting for someone, I immediately called him back and asked him if he can try to look this part up. He didn't even try but just told me that I would have to buy the entire light kit just to get 1 bolt. No way was I going to spend more money than I had to. This employee made me feel like he just wanted me to leave and leave him alone, no suggestions or even try to look up what I needed. I instead went to Lowes and bought what I needed for under $5. Leslie management, note that I will never come back to your store and I will spread the word to avoid this location. First visit to Leslie's Glendora location. Greeted immediately by Kristi- who was very welcoming and knowledgeable. We needed assistance with testing our pool water, purchasing chlorine tablets and to replace a net. Kristi was enthusiastic, patient and extremely helpful. We returned a second time to run analyses on our water sample-again with Kristi's assistance, left with a care plan for our pool needs. The guys at Leslie's in Glendora seem knowledgeable and helpful. But definitely don't buy anything from them without comparing with other places. I just paid 80$ ,then saw the exact same item for 63$ at another store and when I called back they said a manager would match the price. So I went back the next day and they wouldn't match the price cause I had used the product. All he had to do was give me store credit for the difference. I thought that was small of them. Everything here is expensive but they do have sales and I always wait for that. Staff are helpful but they don't honor military discount, I don't know about senior discounts though. Wish I could put no stars.... ever since the manager change happened and Lydia left it's only gone down hill. She had a great trained team especially Bijan. I've been a regular for many many years, I've dealt with many managers and employees of this store. Bijan helped me get my new energy efficient pump and filter combo last year and it's been amazing since. Knowing Lydia left really brought me down but when I found out Bijan had also left I knew nothing good would come of it. This place is a find! The best thing about finding a find, few people know how cool the place is (staff, location, personal service, not over crowded, regulars that keep the vibe neighborly) and you get to be special at least at this store. By the way, they answer their phone. You don't get the hundred pushing buttons aggravating computer voice menu like you do at other places. It's not a hassle to park either, so it's a good little field trip. There are a couple of places that I'll go out of my way to shop at. I know you do too if you are a Yelptasitc city explorer. The places where they will suggest a product if it's to your advantage or know what's on sale in case you picked up the one that's not. Even with pools and water concerns, prevention is the key but it helps when the person you are talking to knows what they are talking about. Many of us are doing that fine dance between what we want, and being able to pay bills. So it helps when you can get good advice about stuff like hot tub and pool care. Mostly, it's the neighborly vibe that makes this place a break from a hectic day. It's kind of around the corner from another California favorite, In N Out. Basically, two of my favorite things. Helpful people that know what this economy is doing to people's California hot tub and pool habit (some days you really need the hot tub), and a decently priced lunch a few blocks away. 2 birds, I say. read more

Over the last couple of months the store has taken a turn for the worst. I believe they are at times understaffed, and sometimes the staff is uninformed. My most recent visits have proved to be a waste of time as supply was low and the water testing system was not functioning. Or at least that's what I was towed. I just bought a new home with a pool in Glendora and stopped by Leslie's pool for some help. Oliver was super professional and helped me in very possible way. He lent me his tape measure to measure my pool and gave me a a small bottle to get a water sample. When I got back, he tested my water and helped me purchase the right solutions to balance it. He then answered all my countless questions on how to use my pool pump, wash my filters, and maintain my pool. I will be coming back for sure! read more

Took their advice & did not empty the pool before a big party (2 weeks), but instead bought $200 worth of chemicals per their recommendation. Unfortunately, it didn't work & when I went back with another sample the employee said I should've just emptied it. Well thanks buddy, it's now after the party! Spent another $100 on various chemicals per their suggestions & the problem was still going on. Finally went to Johnny's paid half the price for the some same chemicals & actually got the pool fixed. The second star is for the IN STORE customer service. When I've tried calling they are ALWAYS too busy to talk, but will "take down your info & promise to call back." It's been three weeks (this round) & I don't think I'm getting a call back. I certainly understand that things happen, but there have been multiple call backs that I've never received. District manager needs to correct this ASAP as it goes for the La Puente & La Verne store as well. read more
