Back before COVID, Tito and his crew replaced a front fence with a masonry one, and revamped all of the hardscaping in the front and back as well. From replacing retaining walls to paver walkways, was able to handle it all - and best of all its all holding up nearly a decade later. read more

Working with Ruiz Construction & Landscaping was one of the best decisions we made for our pool renovation. I met Tito the owner once but I was in constant contact with Chris project manager. Chris and his team were very responsive and professional. Chris met with me and showed me the estimate which was very fair and within my budget. The project took a little longer than expected, but the final result was great. Their attention to detail was awesome and the workers were easy to work with. I highly recommend RCL, very fair and easy to work with and the results are amazing. Thanks Chris for all your hard work in getting our dream pool completed. read more

We did not conduct business with this landscaper cuz the "Knuckleheads" never called us back nor texted/replied to our request for landscaping. Very unreliable/irresponsible & does not return your inquiries. If this is the customer svc they provide then you can imagine the type of work you'll get! Highly suggest you move along & try other contractors. read more

Having interviewed many landscaper contractors for our backyard renovation project over the course of 2 months we decided to hire Ruiz's construction & landscaper (RCL). Tito and Chris has been very responsive to our questions and concerns during the estimate phrase as they addressed all our inquiries which put our mind at ease. Despite having changed our scope of work a few times Tito has been very patient and professional with us to revise the plan and estimates. Throughout the different phases in the renovation Tito's crew has been very easy to work with - they are always on time and perform very detailed craftsmanship. Tito has been very responsive to our inquiries during the renovation and has often gone above and beyond to ensure we are happy and satisfied. We have had a lot of home renovation projects in 2021 with different contractors and by far RCL has been the most pleasant to work with. We are glad to have hired RCL and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a Lanscape renovation contractor. Thanks again Tito and crew ! read more

We've done many home projects , from small to big and Let me tell you how important it is to find a team that listen and understand all your needs. I found RCL on yelp base on the reviews. I just love working with Tito !!! He is a good honest man. From start to end, he is always so responsive and being super patience with me. I am extremely picky with bunch of questions and concerns. Not once he tried to ignore any of my requests. Being 7.5 mos Pregnant at the time and really wanted to have a small gathering with my family as my baby shower, knowing it is a time crunch but I still asked Tito to try to make it happen and HE SURE DID! Thank you Tito, Juan , Luis and JR. You guys by far is the best construction company I ever worked with! read more

I hate to write negative reviews after a good one. I have waited and waited but no respond so I don't even know if I am going to hear back from them. Faucet is not working properly. Pool light is broken within months. They installed the drainage up side down and flow backward. Gate is not installed properly, simple just screw on the wall and now cannot close properly depending on the season. Promised a mini palm tree but never shown up. Been several months asking them to fix but keep saying they either cannot get to my backyard or busy! Tito, please fix the stuff!!! read more

This review is admittedly much overdue. RCL did the hardscaping for our backyard about a year ago and it has since exceeded our expectations. Tito was such a pleasure to work with and their crew is hardworking and trustworthy. I highly recommend their services, always support your local businesses especially during these times! read more

I really like these guys. I had them out to bid on a recent project for my yard and while I didn't end up going with them it was an extremely close call and I will be in touch with them again soon for future larger projects. Tito and his crew did another great job this time around. We had our backyard remodeled with a combination of concrete, pavers, and bullnose bricks. Please checkout the before and after pictures that I will be putting up after this update. I want to leave some feedback for both Tito and his future customers. Communication is essential from both parties to make it a good working relationship...especially during the duration of the project. Homeowners, be very clear what you would like to see and Tito will do his best to get you there. A message to Ruiz Landscaping that has been a good experience with other vendors is itemizing in more detail what work will be done. This will avoid some ambiguity. Other than that, my wife and I are very pleased with the work. The prices he give are very fair and the job he does is pretty darn good. Feel free to give them a call and see what he can do for you. It does not hurt at all. Thanks Tito and to your crew for a job well done. Cheers! Ed read more

He was honest, professional, friendly and accommodating with all my questions, fairly price estimates and request. Makes good recommendations too! The job was completed on time. Update: The paving job for our door steps and walkway is complete and turned out great.

This review is long overdue! Tito did the planning and construction on our front and back yard of our new house a few years ago. I have had landscaping done on new construction twice previously and can easily say that my experience dealing with Ruiz Construction was the best experience I have had with a contractor. Tito was straightforward and easy to deal with and his pricing was very fair. I like the fact that they did everything in house including the pool installation. The job was completed on time and he followed up on little things that needed to be done even post construction. I have since used his company to construct a new gate door which was completed and installed in record time. I would strongly recommend Ruiz Construction for any landscaping or construction jobs in the future. read more

We used Tito's crew for the second time after moving to a new 55+ community in Brea. Tito was quick to respond and provide and estimate. I was looking for a landscaper to do something with the two small planter boxes at our new mobile home. I read a lot of positive reviews for Ruiz Construction & Landscaping and saw pictures of his gorgeous work. Big back yards. You can't go wrong with Tito Ruiz He is honest, fair, punctual and reliable. I recommend him highly. We did a large landscaping job with Tito and his crew. It included artificial turf, cement work, flower beds, sprinklers, a fire pit, a hammock, removing a 40 foot tree and planting a new one and hanging a large outdoor TV. When the TV didn't work he told me to call him when I got a replacement and he'd have someone come to hang it. He already had done his part. It wasn't his fault the TV didn't work. But he offered to come back at no charge. He and his crew finished early. We have the best yard in the neighborhood. Thanks Tito! I recently (10/2014) asked Tito to come back to update something else. He dd so quickly and for no charge. His landscaping has held up beautiful. It is now been nearly 8 months since he finished and it looks as amazing as the day he and his crew put it in. read more

A++++! When we bought our house it was in mostly great condition but the backyard was an eyesore. It had a nice overhead patio but with old, pink, cracked concrete covered by an old rug. The yard was basically a sea of woodchips with a large old shed that we hated. So when we decided to redo our backyard we knew it was going to be a huge project. We initially got three estimates and were pretty impressed with all three of the contractors who came out. But, one estimate came in significantly lower and so we decided to go with Tito Ruiz's estimate. From the beginning, Tito was very responsive, professional and easy to work with. He got the initial estimate to us very quickly and as soon as we were ready Tito's crew was able to start the work. His employees were also very professional, did very good work and always cleaned up after themselves. My husband and I couldn't stop talking about the excellent workmanship in every aspect of the job. In total, they removed all our unwanted landscaping and large shed, installed a new paver patio, installed planter area with tropical plants, new sod throughout the backyard, planted fruit trees, new sprinkler and irrigation system throughout the backyard, replaced fence on one side of the yard, installed new wrought iron gates in front of house and installed a new tree and some flowers in our front yard planter (a tree there before had fallen down recently in a storm). They even completed the project before the anticipated date which we were very happy about! Throughout the project I called, emailed and texted Tito to go over some of the fine details of the project to make sure everything was perfect. He always got back to me right away. I was particular about the types of trees and plants I wanted and Tito was able to come through with everything. Throughout the project he caught a few things that he wasn't really 100% happy about and fixed them; these were things I hadn't even thought of! It really felt like Tito wanted the end result to be just as perfect as I did! He made the whole experience for me as low stress as it could possibly be. My husband and I want to replace our concrete driveway with pavers next year and will definitely be calling Tito! I highly recommend you contact him for any landscaping/masonry work you need done. You will be happy with not only the price but the entire experience. read more

We highly recommend Tito Ruiz and his crew for any landscape construction you might be considering. We had Tito install brick and stone planters, retaining wall, walkways and concrete slab in our front and back yard. He also did a fantastic job of installing drainage and sprinklers. What made this such a great experience was Tito's great attitude and attention to detail. He is so easy to talk to, listens carefully to what you want, and had several great suggestions that really enhanced the look and feel of our landscaping. Ruiz landscaping is very reasonably price, especially for the high quality of work. His crew was always on time and did a thorough cleanup and the end of each day. The work was completed on schedule and we could not be more satisfied with final results. read more

This company is the best for your backyard remodeling or construction. I did a major overhaul of backyard including pavers, hillside terrace with pathway, bbq, patio, and pool replastering. Tito is a very nice guy who manages his workers like a well oiled machine. Every single day his workers showed up 7 am sharp and left at 2 -3 pm. No hoping around from job to job showing up whenever they want like some other companies I've dealt with. There's nothing worse than having workers MIA after paying the money. Not so with this company. In fact, one of the workers told me they have 6am meeting every morning to assign workers to job sites. That's just awesome. As for the work itself just take a look at the pictures I've posted. Very nice. If you want your job done right without headaches call this company. Excellent! read more

While I did not actually sign on work with this company, I consulted with Bianca and the estimator (not sure of name) for a planter project for my home. So happy R.C.L. construction and landscaping came to our attention through our Nextdoor app. Wow, what a find. Tito, the owner, was so easy to work with as were our project workers, Edgar and Dionicio, his helper. They did a phenomenal job on our paver project. Our project had a couple of unusual issues, but, Tito, was able to address and fix them and our project continued on schedule. Tito, came by every day to make sure everything was on track and address any concerns we might have. Tito, always communicated with us in a very timely manner via text or phone call. We got several estimates and Tito's was very reasonable and fair for what we wanted done, the material we wanted and in the timeframe we had. If you are looking for a contractor, who is a very hands-on, honest, reasonable, friendly, easy to talk and work with, Tito and his RCL company are who you want to deal with. Also, he was very realistic about when he could start and finish our job, which is something to appreciate in these uncertain times. Therefore, I highly recommend him and his work crews. read more

Found this place thru great reviews and they did not disappoint! Tito came right on time for the consult and came the following wk with his guys for the job. Absolutely unreliable. Tito called to confirm a Saturday appointment so that he could install planters in my patio, to which he didn't even show up for. I went out of my way to purchase the shrubs and flowers he was going to plant, all for nothing. He didn't even have the professional courtesy to call and tell me that he wasn't going to show. Total waste of my time and money. I requested the day off at work so that this unreliable company wouldn't even show up to do the work they said that they'd deliver. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. We hired RCL based on their positive reviews on Yelp! We are so glad that we did. Their work was excellent and professional. We hired them for a big job! They demolished out our cracked concrete and installed pavers in our entire backyard, installed a patio, and upgraded our pool to pebble tech. Tito came out to give us the quote. His quote was reasonable compared to others which were more expensive. Tito told us from the beginning that he would not "nickel & dime us" and he did not! There were small details that were not in the initial quote and he included them and was very responsive throughout. There were some delays due to weather but we were patient and it was well worth it. Tito, the owner, and his office staff, J.R. and Chris were also very responsive and attentive to the progress of the project. I highly recommend RCL! Thank you TIto!! I called and I made an appointment with them and they did not show up or even give me a call that they won't be able to make it. When I called about 3 times, no answer. I even asked the girl who took my appointment "do I have to call when my appointment is about to come up?" And she said "no, because he'll give you a call when he's arrived at your place- the OWNER will meet you" I thought wow, they are amazing.. And when time came, no one showed up. I waited for an hour and still no show. I still have received a phone call or anything.. It's unfortunate that these days, I'm more surprised that they show up to appointments... I would not recommend this place for people that want things done. If I could, I'd give them no stars- since they didn't even do anything read more

Tito, Christopher, Bianca, and the crew were prompt, professional, and went above and beyond in delivering our phase one project for our front yard. They took our vision of what we were looking to do and made it a reality while also adding some customization that really shows off their quality work. My wife and I were on a fixed budget and Tito worked with us within our budget to break out the project into phases so we could get the turf, the walls, patio, and columns we needed. The workers are amazing, they can take the most difficult challenge and make it look easy. They work fast while not sacrificing quality. They are friendly, professional and work clean by not treating your home like a commercial job site. Also, both Christopher and Tito stayed in contact during the project to address any questions or concerns I had each day. Christopher also drove to various locations to find the one place who had the custom column cap in the needed size (he drove really far to get this, shows their commitment to getting the job done right/on time). Highly recommend Ruiz and we will be using them next year for our phase 2 when we have veneer put on our walls, columns, and house. Will post before after pics soon! read more

The process started off great. Met with owner and he came out and gave me a estimate for a stamped concreate patio. The price seemed fair so we went ahead and scheduled the work to be started about 3 weeks out. I had to put deposit down to schedule the work date, which we did. The day before the work was supposed to be started I called and spoke with the office and confirmed with the secretary they would be at my house between 7:30am and 8:30 am. I took the day off from work and woke up early to tidy up a little and move the cars out into the street to clear room for the workers. Then I waited and waited. 10 am rolled around so I called the office and the secretary told me she was not sure why the workers were not here and would have to call the owner. Then another hour passed so I call her back and was told she was waiting for owner to call her back. Finally she called back and said that the foreman did not show up to work and that they would have to re schedule for following day. My issue was that were they going to even give me a courtesy call to let me know this? I don't think they would have called if I had not called the office first. So we decided to cancel the work and we are going to seek another contractor that is more professional. read more

I just finished remodeling a small jack and jill bathroom with a contractor and learned from all my mistakes. I was already in the market to do the MB. I evaluated at least 7 contractors from every type. Tito and Ruiz was the one I choose due to his no-nonsense and ease of doing business. He was also one of the most competitive prices in the market, and fair. He has a crew just to pickup, haul away, and perform any odds and ends - that was very convenient - their resources kept working while the other crew did the deliveries and haul aways.
