His name is Alex - I pointed at him the laptop that I wanted to buy. Then he offered me some essentials like antivirus and Microsoft which are discounted so it wasn't bad. The laptop was on deal too. The shopping experience was hassle free and it was a fast transaction. I didn't have to go to the check out area to pay. They have a designated one which eases the shopping. I stopped by this Best Buy this morning to pick up my online order of batteries. They had a line today at the entrance, I think a game or pokemon was released which attracted the crowd. The pickup process is simple here, just go to the pickup area near the checkout and show them the barcode. They'll ask to verify your order with a driver license. I walked around the store afterwards since I'm in the market for a new gas stove. They have some nice selections here on display so it was nice to see it in person. The store wasn't very busy when I was here and you'll see some employees walking around. I found parking just fine since I came in the early morning. Exiting the plaza where this place is at onto Nordhoff can be tricky since there a light and stop signs in each direction before the exiting light which causes traffic. read more

They could have helped us, but chose not to, for whatever reason. No one took the time to properly assist us. Bought a Whirlpool side by side refrigerator on 1/02/2026 The purchase was fine. Our refrigerator was delivered as promised 1/07/2026 original time was by noon updated to between 2-4pm no biggie. the refrigerator was delivered and during the unboxing I noticed the door seal was damaged, With Jesus the delivery guy calling BB and upon further review more like sabotaged! someone had broken off a few pieces of packing and placed them top and bottom on both door seals then wrapped it up and boxed it .. The door seals being very important I cancelled the delivery. BB customer service said they would call later with a new delivery date. We were promised a replacment would be delivered on 1/12/2006. The text I received 1/11/2006 said approx 11-2 ok fine, 8:02 AM my phone rang " Hi it's Best Buy delivery we'll be there in about 10 minutes" WTF really? can't argue with the driver? The truck pulls up Luis bounces out and starts to unload the fridge.. Hmm, NOT BOXED! Only wrapped in a thin seran wrap It looked like a previously used and dirty store return, I immediatley refused the delivery Luis called BB customer service and they called me.. I explained my experience and told them to cancel the entire order I told the rep please stop talking and cancel the order it's been 12 days .. after reading some horror story complaints about BB I called Amex started a disputed purchase being a card holder 35+ years Amex also said to return to the store and have them cancel it internally..I did 3 hours later. Lowes was right down the street I popped in and got the same fridge same price and guess what? it got delivered today and no problems want some platimun advice? Worse experience ever, went in to get something fixed for my laptop thats never been an issue and all of a sudden it worked suddenly but never was the tech people have interacted or even physically touch my laptop to help me with it so I kindly said sorry for wasting your time but it somehow turned on. Best Buy is not the store it used to be. Their service has declined, and they seem more focused on making money than helping customers. I had an issue with my computer under warranty and called customer service. They told me to bring it in for a free 20-minute diagnosis and scheduled an appointment. But when I arrived, the store refused to honor it and instead demanded a $100 diagnostic fee. When I asked what would happen next if I paid, the technician said I'd have to pay another $100 to ship it to the manufacturer--who might not even accept Best Buy's diagnosis. To make matters worse, the manager, Cinthia, didn't bother to help or offer any explanation. She looked at me and then turned away, completely ignoring the situation after she saw what was happening. It was actually very sad going here today, it was 4-5pm on a Tuesday and the place was virtually empty except for a few "customers" trying to get some form of service and double that number of staff standing around and doing nothing. I remember the days when Best Buy was full of customers, helpful sales people and geek squad. I remember when (almost 9 years ago) when I was in the process of buying a new smart TV and Mrs G saw a beautiful lost puppy being pushed around the store doing her electronics shopping. I walked out that day with the most beautiful little puppy in the World (Ricky Martin) who now lives with us in our castle in England - and a TV to be delivered and installed the next day. Today all I wanted was charging cords for Mrs G's latest iPad. But it took asking 4 times before any of the standing around staff to answer a question let alone help me :( I heard the BB death knell ringing loudly. Melanie helped me out in the geek squad department. She was very sweet. I didn't realize you needed to make an appointment to meet with them but thankfully they were able to add me in. It's a very fast process as they look at the condition of your phone. They ask for an ID and take your fingerprint. It was less than 10 minutes all together. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE. This best buy back doors products to scalpers and friends and stashes product for themselves to take home. Their staff is constantly misleading and telling customers they don't have certain Pokemon product, then proceeds to bring it out for friends and scalpers to sell to them. Then pretends it doesn't happen when they get called out for it. On multiple occasions others and I have witnessed them sell certain pokemon items to their friends after they were telling other shoppers and collectors they didn't have it. One lady saw the scalpers walking out of the store with a charizard upc after being told they didn't have it. She came back in and was beyond livid. Their managers do absolutely nothing about these back door sales. They gathered behind the counter and just wanted to keep her quiet so they just said sell her one and get her out. I was literally standing there when they were talking about it. They allow it to happen and participate in this scheme. They used to allow 1 item of each per buyer. Now they say they only allow one large and one small item. However, i literally watched other buyers (scalpers and friends of these employees) walking out with 1 of each. They hold out for these scalpers and friends of theirs and move the product back doors. One of my friends just had it happen this morning. He wanted to get an ETB or a Prismatic figure box. They said no more ETB's and no Prismatic. After the first half of people waiting to buy product they brought out more ETB's and Prismatic bundles and sold to some people, he saw and asked how they got it when he was just told they sold out. He went back in and complained to the manager. The manager caved and pulled out just a couple of one specific product and gave him one of the items to get him to stop complaining and leave. This is absolutely ridiculous. These staff members are crooked and take the fun out of a card game for collectors. read more

Two stars might be too high a rating. I purchased a TV that arrived broken; there was absolutely NO customer service online OR phone. So I went directly to the store and filed my complaint. I was told that there is no 'customer service' for the larger TVs. (?!?!) The associate arranged to have the broken TV picked up from my home. I called the BestBuy credit card main number to get instructions on how to download my transactions to a .csv or .xls file since there is no link to request the download. AI couldn't answer my question so I requested an associate. Associate #1 couldn't help and transferred me to Associate #2, who told me to call the original number for help. So NO customer service for purchases and none for the credit card. BestBuy needs to do better. My credit union provides a link to download transactions. For any who don't understand, try downloading your statements THEN try to quickly morph those transactions into a file. Unless you have the expensive version of OFFICE, there is no quick way to convert statements to a single file. read more

Not a bad location, plenty of room to navigate throughout the store and personable team members in all departments. I tend to frequent the location closer to me in Sherman Oaks, but was nearby and it had been a while since I ventured in. I was greeted like I imagine most people are and got offered assistance once while on the floor. I pretty much knew what I wanted and did some additional lite browsing. I will say pickup is a little traffic heavy, but if you and everyone else had the same idea about placing online orders around the busiest time of year, you have to be a bit patient and know you're not the only one with this time saving idea. The checkout line is just as long if not longer, however you've already done your shopping so all you have to do is wait in line a bit... They do offer curbside pickup as well which is probably a lot smoother in my opinion. Aside from gaming related electronics, consoles, games, accessories, etc. they are pretty stocked up at Best Buys Northridge. Misc toys, board games, and so forth are pretty low due to the holidays, but I'm sure will be stocked up soon. They have a pretty solid geek squad that has assisted me a few times over the years. The parking isn't too bad however this parking lot stays flowing sharing a lot with Aldi and Total Wine in a spacious shopping center opposite the Northridge Fashion Center/Mall. They wipe down checkout areas and registers between ever customer and transaction which is also why wait times have increased, but I appreciate the safety and care and killer health and safety measures in place here. I feel bad for everyone who has had a very case specific issue especially with Best Buys slightly dated systems as a chain rather than individual stores. I always tend to factor in that places like this experience an insane flux in traffic both online and in person and systems this can cause glitches in the flow we'd hope for. Let's all be a little my caring in the new year so we can experience the best of best buys. read more
