My PC, which I have had for a little more than 6 years stopped working over the weekend. I contacted Joseph through Yelp and he responded right away. I was dropping off my PC to his shop within minutes. He diagnosed it and told me that it was my hard drive. He told me what my options were and was very truthful about what I needed. I appreciate his honesty and did not upsell me. I picked up my PC the save day with a new hard drive, new OS and my data drive in tact. I highly recommend Joseph for your IT needs and computer repair work. He saved me time and money. Thanks Joseph! read more

I came here because my laptop wasn't charging or none of the ports were connecting to any hardware. I left my laptop here for a while (maybe a month and a half) because I didn't have the money at the time, but Joseph assured me that he fixed the problem. I finally paid the price ($300) and when I came to pick up to laptop, all he did, was connect to it to a plug to show that the port was receiving power/energy. Literally the next day, the problem still persisted. If the computer was on, and I plugged it into a charger, nothing would happen. The only time it would charge was if I turned the computer off and left it plugged in. But it takes about 8-10 hours to reach a full 100% charge, and the battery dies within 2 hours. So much so, in my frustration, I presumed it must've been a battery issue. I tried to workaround it, but it's unbearable to work on a computer for 2 hours before having to charge it the entire day just to work for 2 hours again. I paid $300!!!!!!!!!!!!! & the problem was not fixed. Not only that, when I got my laptop back, my laptop speakers were blown out. WHEN I BROUGHT IT BACK TO HIM A WEEK LATER TO FIX THE ISSUE, HE INSULTED MY WIFE WHEN SHE ASKED IF WE WOULD BE PAYING ANYTJING ON TOP OF THE $300 WE ALREADY PAID BY INSINUATING/ASKING IF SHE WAS JEWISH BECAUSE "THEY" EXPECT THINGS FOR CHEAP/FREE. () HUHHHHHHHHH?!?!?!? Why would pay again for a service we paid for, that wasn't done/fixed???? I mentioned to him if he could check to see if the battery also needed to be changed. He then had the laptop for another 10 days, with no communication about the status of the previous job (the charging ports) and when I finally reached out to let him know I was coming by to just pick the laptop up, he responded quickly and told me that before coming, he needed to confirm whether the battery needed to be changed... ---- what were you doing the previous 10 days you had it????? The charging ports, which I brought the laptop back a 2nd time, STILL WAS NOT FIXED & it also feels like the battery diagnosis would've been noticed if the job was done properly, by CHARGING the computer FULLY. Overall, this was a terrible experience. I paid $300 with money I don't have, and my laptop is still broken. There is no warranty, I have to go to an official store and pay another $300 to get the job done properly, and my wife was insulted as he laughed it off. There are plenty of 5* reviews, but I would caution you to read the other 1* reviews here. I am not the only one to experience anything like this. I don't ever leave reviews, but everytime I turn on my laptop and the charger chord is plugged in and it's not charging, I get reminded and angry. This is not a store. This is someone in a garage, who used to be in the tech world, who has plenty of computers as inventory, who takes the parts from used computers and puts them in yours. Again, there is no warranty, and he is liable to take your money while claiming he fixed it, hoping the part doesn't die out in the next few months. Terrible experience. $300! read more

When a stranger at a coffee shop accidentally knocked over my drink and it flooded my MacBook Pro, I thought, "It'll be fine." It was not fine. A few hours later my keyboard and trackpad started glitching. Panic mode. I jumped on Yelp because I didn't have time to roll the dice at the Apple Genius Bar and potentially lose a full day. I needed my laptop for school work that was due the next day. That's when I found Joseph. Calling him a computer repair guy feels disrespectful. He's more like a laptop surgeon! We sat down and he thoroughly inspected everything, explained exactly what liquid damage does internally, and broke it down in a way that even a non-tech person like me could understand. He used simple analogies to explain why certain components fail after spills, which honestly made the whole situation feel less overwhelming. Because I was on a tight deadline, he moved fast. He replaced the top case so I could get up and running immediately. We're calling that "Phase 1" -- basically a strategic band-aid so I could meet my deadline. I'll be going back next week for a deeper repair and full internal assessment once I have more time. What impressed me most: * Clear communication * Honest recommendations (no upselling) * Quick turnaround * Confidence without ego And yes -- he operates out of his home garage. Don't let that throw you off. It's basically a science lab in there. I was genuinely impressed by the level of equipment and Apple parts he had. It felt more like a specialized workshop than a random garage setup. I live on the Westside of LA and made the drive and I'd absolutely do it again. When you find someone competent and trustworthy, distance doesn't matter. If you're dealing with liquid damage, keyboard issues, or any MacBook emergency, Joseph is the real deal. Professional, smart, efficient, and genuinely cares about getting you back up and running. Highly recommend. read more

My sister needed her laptop fixed before going off to college and we found Joseph's business! It was easy coordinating services and asking about services and prices. Amazing service, took my call last minute and gave me great information and even fixed my laptop within 2 days with great pricings.

I had an amazing experience with Joseph and can't recommend him enough. I came to him with a cracked MacBook Pro screen on very short notice. I dropped it off at 10:30am, and by 4pm the same day he called to tell me it was ready. What really stood out was his flexibility. I mentioned I had work that night, and he told me I could come by after my shift to pick it up. That level of accommodation is rare and really meant a lot. Apple had quoted me over $850 and said I'd be without my laptop for over a week! Joseph was not only significantly more affordable, but also much quicker, and he uses genuine Apple parts (which you can verify in the system after the repair). On top of the fast turnaround and fair pricing, Joseph was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly very skilled at what he does. From start to finish, I felt like my device was in good hands. If you need any kind of laptop repair, I absolutely trust Joseph and would go back to him again without hesitation. Worth every penny. read more

QUICK turnaround to repair the keyboard of my MacBook Air. Great communication and fair price. Would recommend!

Outstanding service! Thank you so much Joseph for your purposeful work. I appreciate you saving my computer--specifically he did component level repairs--mother board of my Lenovo computer experienced short burn due to power shortage 2x last Monday, 04/28/25 and the component was replaced instead of replacing the whole board. I picked up my computer today, 04/30/25 and checked it which looks functioning very well now. Fast and efficient service, already fixed the night of 04/28/25! I value his knowledge and helpful tips on caring for my computer, especially on how to extend the battery life. I honor his generosity and cost-effective pricing for the repair. The home office was calm and relaxing. God bless! read more

My C-drive storage on my Windows 10 was almost filling up. I was trying to figure out ways to add room, like cleaning out temp and hidden files. I was constantly doing this daily to no avail, and I finally decided to try and find a place locally to hopefully fix my problem. So I did a search for a computer repair place, and MacRepair4U came up, and I took my hard drive there. I met with Joseph. He did a fantastic job! He actually copied my hard drive and upgraded it to a terabyte, which was awesome! Now, if I have any other issues, I'm definitely going to go back and have him update it,probably to Windows 11,and maybe I'll have to add additional storage. I'll most likely have him do my Mac as well, since he works on those already. MacRepair4U,I think they're reasonably priced as well. I definitely do recommend MacRepair4U. read more

It is a Friday night and I unfortunately threw my laptop on my bed as I was about to watch a movie. When I open my laptop, I noticed the screen was cracked and I was devastated as it was completely black and I've had my laptop for over three years with no issues ever. I was in panic mode, and I looked up so many places nearby. These places either didn't answer or hung right up on me. Of course the Apple Store has long ways because of the new iPhone. But I found the MAC & PC Computer Repair and Joseph answered right away. He was super nice and friendly, answered all my questions and is very reasonable. I dropped off my laptop to him at 8 PM and it was done in under two hours. My screen looks brand new with super great quality, and I am so happy for this little upgrade that I received from him. read more

Joseph was able to fix my computer after water damage. He was super helpful and completed the job fast. Would definitely use him again

So in 2021 I came to this place of business to increase the memory on my computer. That was the initial problem. Next thing you know my screen fell twice! The second time the glass shattered and damaged the CPU. I told the guy what happened and he said it's my fault because I was probably playing loud music and it caused vibrations and I've had my computer for years and this never happened and was never the issue until I got it repaired by this business! I said whatever I need my computer for work so I paid him multiple times to fix his mistake. Then he gave me another computer with issues and it's now not even starting! All I wanted was my memory increased and this is the issues I'm dealing with. So then I got another computer he said it was the same and he lied and he gave me a computer that's years older than my original. I've been contacting him for months with no response. All I wanted was my memory expanded and this has been a nightmare! Just go to Apple and save some time and money! I will not recommend this business to my worst enemy! This guy is not accountable at all. read more

Joseph is the best Guy, skilled friendly and very accommodating. He's not a Dr. but Surgeon of Diagnosis and fixing your Computers.

Sorry Yelp, you got this one wrong. I saw the 5 star reviews and felt confident bringing my MacBook here for a new battery but my experience has been very disappointing. I paid $150 for him to replace the battery with what appears to be an even worse battery than I had. The first battery he provided did not work at all and only held a charge for 1 hour until a "service battery" warning. I returned the next day: The second battery he installed does not hold a charge for more than 2 hours and jumps from 75% to 23% in minutes. When I asked for info about the batteries he used, he refused to tell me whether the battery was new/used and who the manufacturer was. He just said that it's a working battery but he was unable to provide a box, receipt, warranty or any info related to the "new" battery he installed. I continued to have problems and after several texts, many of which he responded to days later, his solution was to restart my computer (which of course did nothing). I wound up wiping the computer and reinstalled my whole OS and the battery still fails. In fact, even when it's plugged in, it loses a charge. He also put some kind of sticker on my screen which left residue I haven't been able to remove. To this day, several weeks later, the battery does not charge properly and does not hold a charge. I paid $150 and I'm in a worse situation than I was before I took my computer here. Also, he also refused to provide a receipt despite several requests and when I asked him repeatedly to fix the battery, he told me that I was outside of the 30-day window that he guarantees (even though I reported that it wasn't working within that window). His failure to prove that the battery he installed was new and his refusal to provide me with a receipt are two big red flags. I'm worse off and $150 poorer for bringing my computer here. I should have paid a little bit more to have Apple do it, at least they would have given me a receipt and stood behind their work. read more

I have a fairly high end PC that I believed was shorting out because it was turning off. Joseph quickly and calmly quoted me for the labor over the phone, re-assured me that he had experience with such repairs and told me to bring it in the same day. Within a day, he quickly identified and repaired 3 shorts on my motherboard, which saved me from having to replace my pricey components. He was very friendly and did not add any unnecessary repairs and even did a fantastic job with cable management and routing cables the way I had them prior. Joseph's quick and professional work exceeded my expectations. 10/10 would recommend to a friend. read more

Joseph Abbas is a FRAUD. A polite fraud, but a scammer nonetheless. I'm so frustrated that I ever went to this person for a repair. About a year ago, I reached out to Joseph for a screen repair because my MacBook screen would fall back. He "fixed it" and a few months later, I still had problems with my screen wiggling and blacking out. So, I took it to him again and he "fixed it" and literally 2 weeks later, it was still wobbly. I asked him what he can do, and he suggested I come back for a full screen replacement, to pay hundreds on top of what I paid. Mind you, I'm already over $500 in for this screen and now he wants more to replace it. I took it to the Apple Store today, because it will shut down for no reason until I plug it in, and it thinks it's dead when it's not. They confirmed it's my screen, surprise surprise. Joseph cost me hundreds of dollars and never resolved my issue and if anything, made my screen WORSE!! Hundreds down the drain for nothing. Update: I did not break my screen again, Joseph. I'm not playing hockey with it. All I do is type. My screen was experiencing problems with blacking out. I came to you. I received it, and a couple months later, I realized it wasn't screwed in right, because it was wobbly and fell back without support. I had to wait months to bring it back to you because I was traveling. When I brought it back, you "fixed it", and although the screen doesn't fall back, it still wobbles. When I reached out again, you wanted me to come back for another repair. I took it to Apple and they told me it's a screen problem. It's always been the same underlying issue, and when I brought it to you, it was not a one stop shop approach, and I'm not going to keep coming back. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me, fool me three times, I'd deserve it. Thanks for your service. read more

Joseph is friendly and answers all your questions. He's like your local trustworthy mechanic but for computers. I have an older macbook that had stopped turning on. I took it to joseph and he was able to identify the battery needed replacement and to fix a part of the motherboard. It cost $400 total. He was able to fix it in one day. Joesph told me that if any issues come up to let him know right away. The next day i received it, i noticed it was still having some issues. He was very reassuring and trustworthy with his advice so I didn't hesitate to message him once there was issues again. So, I told him and gave it back to him. Within another day, he was able to fix it again. There must have been another issue with the battery so he reinstalled another one. That did the trick and my computer is new again. It's comforting knowing the person working on your computers is a good person and is doing what's right instead of a big company looking to rip you off. I won't hesitate to go back if my computer or someone close to me has issues. He also seems to respond quicker over a call vs texting just fyi. read more
