Phenomenal Tech, Cheapest Rate & Quick Service!! Apple wanted to charge me around $300 to replace my battery, take over a week to do so and with no guarantee that it would work. Called a local place and they charged $150. I went to MAC & PC Computer Repair and the tech does it for $80, done in an hour and a 3 month battery guarantee!! Therefore I got both my battery and my boyfriend's battery replaced for $160. The best deal ever when shopping around! When we arrived the tech was very friendly, professional and informative. It was incredibly refreshing. We ended up leaving also buying Logic (industry standard music production software) for only $60 bucks when Apple charges $200. The tech then threw in more music softwares for us and told us he's always there if we ever need help with our new programs. Unfortunately this was one of the few times that all the positive ratings have let me down. I did not have a good experience with this guy. This review is strictly for iPad repairs. In early October, I was experiencing charging issues with my ipad. It would only charge up to 1 percent. I took my iPad to Northridge Fix. They did a diagnostic check and confirmed that the problem was with the charging port. They quoted me $150 to buy and replace the charging port. I thought that was too high so I shopped around on yelp and found Joseph. Seemed like a nice guy and had great reviews. He quoted me a price of $120 and I agreed. I dropped off the iPad at Joseph's house on October 13th. A week later, he says it was finished and fixed. I went and picked it up, took it home, and experienced the same problem. Wouldn't charge past 1 percent. I took it back to Joseph and he didn't know why it wouldn't charge. He said he would look at it and get it back to me later. Another week passed by. I called Joseph and he says he needs to replace the screen because he broke the previous one while opening it. He's waiting on the screen and it's going to take another week. I've been calling every week and he keeps making excuses. Either the part hasn't come in yet or he hasn't gotten around to fixing it. It's now November 11th (over a month) and he tells me it's ready. I tell him I'll pick it up tomorrow. The next day I call him to confirm pickup time and he tells me it's not ready (wtf?). I finally pick up the iPad on November 20th. While picking up the iPad, Joseph tells me there is an issue with the motherboard and also the iPad still won't charge. Whaaaat?! He had my iPad unlocked (because he said he needed the iPad to be unlocked for some reason) for over a month and a half with all my kids pictures in it and now he tells me that there is an issue with the motherboard? He didn't once mention the motherboard in our previous 10 phone calls. During my pickup, he mentioned that I should get the motherboard replaced because I had alot of data on my ipad. How did he know that? Why was he going through my iPad? Long story short, I gave him my iPad with a broken charging port and he gave it back to me nearly 2 months later with the same broken charging port along with a broken motherboard and a detached screen (he replaced the screen but didn't bother actually attaching it to the iPad). Maybe this was just a one off experience. My intention is not to disparage this man or his business. I just want you the reader and potential customer to have all the information.
