Was hoping to share in the 5 star review everyone else experienced unfortunately this was not the case. Trust, I understand that this is a one man shop but that doesn't mean that you can't provide customers with any sort of customer service like a call/text with updates of the repair. Not sure if he took on too many repairs but holding onto someone's personal laptop for a month and expecting them to initiate all communication with you for updates just doesn't make any sense to me. I agreed to a $350 power port repair that would take a week to repair. I dropped my laptop off and went out of town for a week. When I returned, I waited an additional week, figuring he needed more time because he hadn't reached out, to call him for an update only to find out that the part would take another week to arrive, then another week pasts and I call him only to find out that the entire board needed to be replaced and that the cost was an additional $200. So I asked him, when did you figure this out and why didn't you call/text to let me know and his response was that "I'm a one man shop"...all it takes is a call or text bro. Long story short, he held onto the laptop for almost a month and got upset at me when I asked why he never reached out to me when schedule/cost/diagnose changed. All I wanted was communication for a costly repair! I'm all for supporting local businesses and that's why dropping my laptop off at a strangers home wasn't a big deal but when you (as the customer) are expected to initiate all the communication and they're holding onto your personal laptop with lots of personal information on it, this is just unacceptable. Even if you're a one man shop! To be clear, it wasn't the diagnosis that I was frustrated at but rather his lack of communication. He expects the customer to call for updates rather than notifying them via call/text when repair updates are necessary. read more

Very shady computer technician. Do not trust him with your computer because he tried to scam me. I brought my computer in to find out why it would suddenly shut off within the first few minutes while gaming. He told me it was the graphics card and that it needed to be fully replaced. I asked him if he could replace my graphics card with one at the same or better quality and he agreed. When I got my computer back, I found out he placed a significantly inferior graphics card he probably found lying around in his workshop and it couldn't even handle World of Warcraft! He "forgot" give my graphics card back. I called him and told him about it and he said he could easily order me a new one. Me being suspicious now asked him to purchase one and then give me screen shot of the purchase with a confirmation number. Suddenly, he was not able to find the graphics card I needed! I asked if I could return my graphics card and get my refund to which he said he wouldn't be available in the following morning to do it to avoid me. So I asked my girlfriend to call him instead and suddenly he says he's available to look at her laptop that same morning! I came back to his shop, had my girlfriend call him to say we were outside and he looked very surprised to see me after he lied once again. I returned his shoddy graphics card and got mine back. With my refund. Had I not done this he would have just fixed one of the broken fans I had on my graphics card and try to give it back to me like it was a new one he ordered the online. He also tried to be dodgy about giving my refund back though PayPal saying "he would do it later" but I demanded he would do it right now while I'm as there. Do not trust this guy, he's a total fraud. Get your computer looked at elsewhere. Judging by how he acted this isn't the first to me he has done this. read more

I kicked my MacBook Pro off my bed(stupid me) and the screen wouldn't turned on so I brought it to a place certified by Apple and they said my screen needed to be replaced and battery. Total of $700!! There were no physical damage! So I opted it out of getting it fixed by them. They charged me 59.99 for diagnostic test. They had it for 5 days. Joseph is the best and a life saver! My MacBook Pro had LCD damage and I asked Apple how much it would cost: between $400-600 plus a two week wait to have it repaired. Everyone else on yelp was still charging $400-500. I found Joseph after I started to lose hope. He said he would do it for $350. I think this person does not know how to fix gaming computers, he only knows how to change parts which my 17 year old son can easily do. I took my son's computer to fix it and explain the problem that after two weeks the function went off after that the parts that were changed were burned, this man all he did was change the parts but I never look for the problem for which the parts were burned Parts taking too long he doesn't even answer messages or calls and only asks for the same parts two or three times and even keeps parts and doesn't return them "I don't know if he used them to fix other computers because according to him he couldn't find them." I took the computer to another place and they told me that the work they did to me was crap because it was not well connected, it had screws of different sizes and that the parts did not seem new because everything was full of dust, when I take it to this man it was two weeks new. Just noting I HAD TIME TODAY: If I could choose zero stars I would. I was recommended by a friend to check their mac guy to help my computer and I honestly wish I hadn't. There were red flags and I should have listened to my gut. One his office was at a home in a garage. First flag. As I did on the phone I told him my laptop was cutting off around 40-20 percent would be left in battery. I explained this issue and was told I needed a diagnostic. He called the next day and said it was working properly and it was just a short he needed to fix. Awesome, I've been working a ton of hours so I was thrilled that he fixed it so quickly. I asked him on the phone if he had checked it without the cord connected. He said no (second red flag). He ensured me once I drove there it would be fine. Once I got there he said it was good just needed a cleaning and fixed the short. I was charged $150 and told he doesn't accept credit cards (third red flag) he only takes cash app, venmo, and zelle. Name was under a diff name than his email. I'll get there too. I asked for an invoice and was told he could provide later. This is ENTIRELY unprofessional another another red flag. While I was there another customer who had just recently got home came back complaining that his computer wasn't fixed (I've lost counts on how many flags I have). I paid and left. I drove home thirty mins began to work on my computer and soon as I got home yall the computer did the same EXACT THING it's been doing. Cut off while I worked. I called him back, he now tells me it's the battery. That made me feel very suspicious when this wasn't even brought up. One would think the battery would be the issue. I finally got my invoice later in the week it was a word document not even a pdf. Also he doesn't respond to emails he will only chat or text. When I finally chat with him, today, almost a week later instead of a business owner standing by their work and service and trying to make things right I was spoken down to, told that he said it was the battery at his office in his garage and told I don't understand. I'm pretty verse with computers so this is knew. He spoke to me like I wasn't intelligent and spoke over me. This is not anyone I would recommend. I am always skeptical finding places particularly to fix computers, as I have had experiences where they try to penny and dime you; however, looking at yelp reviews, found Joseph. He not only is very responsive, he was able to tell me what was wrong with the computer even before he saw it in person.
