This review if for the location on 400 S Baldwin Ave Space T2, Arcadia, CA 91007 (Shops at Santa Anita) since there is no Yelp page for the new location. On Black Friday weekend, I came with my family to add 6 lines to my family plan, what was supposed to be a normal routine process turned into a massive ordeal with a bunch of lies and bait and switch fraud. We worked with two separate people, Carlos and Sophie (or Sofie). Carlos was new and he was very patient with us and helped us to the best of his ability - he did great. Sophie on the other hand pulled some extremely shady tactics. 1) She added a Verizon home internet to our plan and forced us to take home the internet box. This was NEVER discussed and we never agreed to it. When I confronted her about it, she said "oh I thought you needed it". This is so wrong and Carlos even had to offer to return the box himself because apparently you have to mail the internet box in and not return it to the store. Note that she made this entire change UNAUTHROIZED. She stated that I needed to call Verizon myself to cancel it but I made the store do it, and Carlos spent a good 2 hours of our time having to figure out how to cancel it. Why would you do that to your customers and employees? Why would you assume we need internet? I live in San Francisco and wired Verizon internet is NOT available and she said that it was (you can google this yourself). 2) I waited a couple weeks but I noticed that she added device protection to all 7 lines on my family plan. This was also UNAUTHROIZED. We explicitly stated that we didn't want device protection and it's a good thing I checked my bill because it was there and we would have been charged an extra $70!!! Why are these employees making unauthorized additions to phone plans? 3) We were offered a promotion for porting our lines in to receive a Verizon gift card if we purchased $100 of merchandise from their store for each line. We were unable to complete the process on the first day we were there but Sophie said we had to make the purchase before leaving that day. We added 5 lines so we asked if she could charge us for $500 in merchandise, she actually charged us for $800 in merchandise, some of which we learned was NON REFUNDABLE. It was only until I did the math on the receipt that I learned she overcharged us and we had to go back and speak to the manager to reverse this (Note: this was the THIRD trip to the store). She also said that this promo was applicable for ALL tiers of the plans when it was only applicable for 2 of the 5 tiers of plans that we got! Scammed for another $300!! 4) They also said we were unable to downgrade plan tiers, this was also a blatant lie and misinformation! It is really sad and pathetic what people would do just to meet their sales goal to make a couple of bucks on their commissions. I strongly do not recommend coming to this store (and if you do, try to see Carlos only). This store is trying to scam their everyday customers with no respect for their time (we spent nearly 12 hours over 2 days in this store). I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and have never seen service this terrible. I will only handle transactions online moving forward. read more

Steve, the Business Account Manager, is outstanding. A few months ago, while in a rush, I popped in just to see if I could leave my ex's family plan without extra costs. He explained everything clearly and told me that with my great credit, there would be no extra costs or deposit needed. He assured me it could be done quickly--and had me set up in under 15 minutes. Not an exaggeration. He was professional, friendly, and clearly very experienced--no upselling. He even gave me his direct number since I didn't have time to back up in-store, in case I had questions later or needed help with the backup. I lost my phone yesterday and went back to this store because I had initially bought my phone from them. I was in a panic mode because of my reliance on my phone. I had to be at work in Los Angeles in an hour and was not able to notify them. I was treated with indifference and felt like I was bothering them. It's funny because when I purchased my phone I was treated very warmly and made to feel like I was important to them. I guess they just were interested in making a sale and really don't care about a customer afterwards. Maybe I am just being sensitive but I needed a little support and not indifference from them. I went with Verizon because I wanted customer support and I was willing to pay more than other carriers. My experience switching to Verizon from t-mobile has been nothing short of a joke, and is clear all their rebates are simply a bait and switch tactic to get you in the door. I switch to Verizon for my main line since I need to always be available for work. Verizon was running two separate very well advertised rebated. One for switching carriers for $200, and one for bringing your device. I qualify for both instantly. After multiple phone calls and electronic correspondences, I have been denied rebates on both despite again meeting all requirements as stated online. The service is also less than perfect at twice the cost. I'm still experiencing packets of 4g in LA. This is with the newest iPhone pro. Internet speeds never go above 60 mb/s dispute my paying for 5g uw. I'm looking to switch either back to T-Mobile or att at this point solely based on the principal of what an awful company this is. Was trying to find out if my SIM card was bad or if my phone was having issues. I went to another Verizon reseller near my house and they told me that I'd have to purchase the SIM card for $30 and that if my issues wasn't the SIM card, the $30 isn't refundable, they also didn't have the new phone I wanted and didn't offer any alternate solutions, so I left. Came to this Verizon store and I told Nate P. l needed to buy a new SIM card because my phone is having issues when I put in my SIM card my phone and he asks me if he can test it for me.. he did infront of me and 1 minute later we know the issue was my phone and that I shouldn't buy a new SIM card because it won't fix my issue. Saved me $30 bucks! I ended up getting my replacement phone second hand from a friend, but Nate's my go to for any future issues or sales. read more

DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE. They have an extremely misleading return policy that disregards both Apple and Verizon's company wide policies. You heard that correctly- they offer ZERO returns on Apple products, excluding phones from point-of-sale. Uninformed of this, I purchased an Apple Watch from them 9 days ago and I'm now unable to return it to the store for a refund. The clerks even had me come back into the store only to then tell me they couldn't issue the return without consent of their manager who wasn't working that day. I called back 2 days later, when the manager was working, and he told me there was nothing that he could do and that it was Apple's policy and NOT theirs. This didn't sound right to me... So left without any help from the store, I contacted both Apple Customer Service and Verizon HQ, who both individually confirmed for me that this contradicts Apple and Verizon's 15-day return policy for all Apple products, which extends to online purchases and all authorized resellers (which includes this store). I called back, hoping that the manager was just misinformed and would surely correct the error, but this was sadly not the case. He just told me, sorry it's on "the invoice" (which I received after purchase, ha) and that it's merely a store policy to refuse returns on any Apple products other than cellphones. I then drove to a separate corporate Verizon store miles away from my house and worked with a great customer service rep named Anthony, who offered a third confirmation that this is not right for the store to do and violates their agreement. He tried to work out a return, but the store blocked the return from being able to be accessed from any other Verizon stores or their customer service reps online! Verizon worker Anthony then tried to call the original store (this store) and see if they could be reasoned with and unfortunately this store continued to refused to fulfill the return. Anthony told me he's never seen this happen before and that he will try to help move this further up the ladder at Verizon. Tomorrow I'm speaking with the district manager of Verizon and god knows who else in order to try and reason with this abusive store and their exploitative return policy. I'm out hundreds of dollars for this Apple Watch and countless hours of headaches, phone calls, and driving. It should also be noted that the original sales person/manager misinformed me about the capabilities of the watch, failed to tell me of this rather unique return policy in advance, and opened my product without asking me inside the store (this way they can get a restocking fee off you even if all goes bust). Please, only go to a corporate designated Verizon store and avoid these "authorized" retailers at all costs, even if they're closer to you! I got a phone here in November he said they would credit AT&T $300 to break my contract with them not once did he ever mention I had to get a gift card on the app to send to AT&T then proceeded to lie and say that the promotion I had "expires" like wtf I called Verizon themselves and they said there is no such thing as a promotion expiring with them, he had also lied to me about being able to go to a different Verizon to exchange my phone if I didn't like the color. I went to a different Verizon to do just that just to be told this location is a franchise not corporate so that's something that they don't tell you seems like eusevio is just a scam and wants your money, and lies to get just that I felt like he took advantage of me so now I have to pay AT&T back thanks to his lies. Poor customer service. I walked in and there were 2 employees, each dealing with their own customer. There was no acknowledgement whatsoever - no "hello, no "we'll be right with you".....NOTHING. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and assumed they were too busy, so I walked around the store for about 5 minutes, then sat down. Another 5 minutes pass and another customer walks in and he receives the same treatment as me; no acknowledgement whatsoever. I waited another 5 minutes to see if any of the employees would place us on a waiting list but they went about their business as if the customers they were tending to were the only human beings alive on the face of the earth. I've always wondered why this location is always empty (I frequent the Ace Hardware that shares the parking lot with this Verizon) and now I know why. read more

This is my second time visiting this store. This first time was so horrible, I didn't bother to leave a review because there were so many issues. This time I went to upgrade my phone and I was assisted by Jerome. He has great customer service skills and was very pleasant to work with. The phone color was not available so I had to wait a few days though when I returned, he set up my phone (not that I can't do that myself) and mailed my old one back. I received an excellent trade in as my old iphone was recently paid off. The only complaint I have is that you have to wait about 2 months to receive your trade in credit. my 88 year old mom purchase a phone with a 30 day return policy, they refused to accept the return even though she went to corporate office and said they should except the return. where she opened the box they was a slight rip so therefore denied the return. i say they get a f minus...the box was not destroyed, just a slight tear. i have never heard of a store not excepting returns. shame on them...apparently they are owned individually and verizen does not inforce their policy's shame on them!...nate is the manager at this location that helped her. he could have accepted it, he had the right to do so...but instead she got a fu..good luck with that. read more

Yes it is me again. Going on 6 months of issues. Never and I mean never add a phone or upgrade service at this location. At this point they have scammed and stolen an iPhone from me. I turned in an iPhone and got another I was supposed to get $1000 off the new one. That is not what's going on I am paying $50.41 with no adjustment for the phone I gave them. Gary who replied to my message below never called me back. He had some girl call and promise all would be corrected in 30 days. Well Gary it's been 60 and all I received was a credit od $299. I don't know what all that was supposed to cover but where's the $1000 broken down over 12 payments? I went from perfect service for 8 years to the worst experience of my life. I'm tempted to move my business but then realized it's just this location. Avoid this location at all cost or you will be in a losing battle because Verizon doesn't know this location had an employee steal my trade in and they could have looked at the cameras which they threatened me with doing when I said please do because I described the thief and nothing has happened now here I am almost 6 months later making payments on a phone that I shouldn't be. read more

I ended up at this location because I was working in the Van Nuys area Monday evening. My phone completely shattered and I was in need of a new phone. I got to their location 15 min before closing time and they were so helpful considering I was very frustrated with the fact that the other surrounding stores did not have the phone I wanted in stock. Staff understood my frustration and went out of their way to find an iPhone 12 pro max 512 in their stock and succeeded. I was so happy!!! They were able to offer me an upgrade and a bundle for the new phone all within 20 min. I don't recall their names, but it was Monday evening at closing time and I'm just very thankful that they were the ones there that night. Actually, one of them may have been named Oscar. My old smartphone was completely dead and beyond repair. I was going to order a new phone online, but then thought, "Hey, I'll go to a store and order one from a real person. What could go wrong with that?" So I ordered a new phone, and explained to Verizon Store Guy (aka VSG) that since the old one was dead, when the new one got in, he'd have to either contact me by email, or call my husband's phone, since (again) my phone was DEAD. I can't reiterate how many times I told him it was DEAD DEAD DEAD (and showed it to him, too). He assured me that of course he'd do that, and since my husband was the primary accountholder, he'd get the email anyway. All well and good. A week went by without an email or a phone call. I finally called the store, and guess what? My phone was in! And had been, for several days, apparently. So I went in, picked it up, had it activated, and noticed there was a voicemail on it already. Hmm. So, I asked VSG (same guy) if he'd phoned the number of my DEAD PHONE to leave a message, in spite of my repeated requests that he not do that. "Sure, of course," he answered, keeping his eyes firmly glued to his computer screen, determined not to make eye contact with a customer, because human beings, ugh, y'know? "But," he added hastily, still not looking up, "I called your husband's number too, and there was no answer." (Which was ridiculous, since my husband's phone works fine, not being DEAD like mine.) "Oh," I said, "and what exactly was the number you called?" "I can't remember THAT," he snorted, finally looking at me (the customer), albeit with complete scorn. "That was five days ago!" So bottom line: next time, order online! P.S. Oh, and VSG also slipped in an extra $9/month "Global Protection" on my phone, without saying one word about it, or asking if that's something I was interested in. As my husband pointed out, $9 a month over a year is actually MORE than it would cost to replace the phone (it's a cheap flip phone), so I certainly would have declined, if he'd asked me, which he didn't. I walked in to the store this evening hoping to connect a phone line only (no contract) Instead I was lied to and misled by JULIO RUIZ. He didn't add the line month to month like I asked for. He signed me up for a 24 month contract. He told me it was my lucky day! They had a crazy promo going on and I was receiving 2 BRAND NEW tablets for FREE! I was like "This is too good to be true!, what is the catch? Any hidden fees? I'm not getting a contract right?" He told me that's is CORRECT. You are on a month to month so you can cancel anytime and there are no hidden fees. Your bill isn't even going to increase. I was still in disbelief but too lazy to continue asking questions. I was tired, hungry and wanted to go home. I really believed him and thought he seems like an honest and cool guy so I gave him the benefit of the doubt. After spending 20 minutes waiting for him to scan the tablets and quietly click away while staring at his screen, he finally said it was all done and we were good to go. He re assured me that this was month to month and there was no catch. I asked for a receipt but he said it will all be emailed to me because he was "unable" to print them (sure) I get home and I open up my emails and there are my receipts from my recent purchase at the store performed by JULIO. My bill went up $126.24 I was shocked and upset! I was like what is this!?? There were two activation fees for the tablets that were on a 24 month contract!!!! And my used Verizon phone that I wanted on a month to month plan was also in a 24 month contract! I was very specific about what I wanted. Everything was the complete opposite of what he said! I immediately called Verizon Corporate and they confirmed that the associate was misleading and dishonest! I went back into the Verizon store and had the representative on SPEAKER phone and everyone in the store (employees and customers) heard her say that JULIO RUIZ misled me into signing up for contracts to benefit his pay because they are on commission. They advised me to reverse everything and return the tablets. He never gave me any copies and I never signed for anything! When I confronted him, he lied and said Verizon Corporate's tech support team was lying and that he did not do so. Julio said that Verizon was the dishonest one here. I gave his information to Verizon and the address of this store. They will opening up an investigation and will be contacting the owner of the store shortly. The good thing was I had 3 days to cancel my contact without any cancellation fee. Because I acted quickly on this, I was able to reverse the unauthorized changes to my plan. The last thing I wanted to do on a Tuesday night was sit here in my recliner and spend 10 mins. of my VALUABLE time typing this review. I have better things to do but because this experience was so horrible I just couldn't stay quiet! BUYER BEWARE! Don't be FOOLED by these hungry salesmen! They only care about their paycheck and can care less about us the customers. Not one associate in the store working that shift stepped up and stopped this from happening. I really hope this discourages JULIO from pulling the wool over people's eyes for his own financial benefit. That is the only reason why I'm writing this. I hope this helps you!
