He insisted I paid in cash since cash is king which should have been my first red flag. However I decided to proceed and trust him since he came to me to grab the iPad. He spent 1 min looking at it and came back saying it was bent and needed to go to his shop to repair properly. I agreed. He brought it back and told me the home button no longer works and I needed to wait to try and use the iPad. It hadn't worked since he touched it. I paid him $80 in cash and $80 on a card for an iPad worth about $20 since I was ok with paying it as long as my iPad worked again. Well it never has and never will. I took it to Apple they said it's not reparable any longer and they can recycle it for me. I felt comfortable because he was a hard working guy with children just like myself so I believed him in making it right. I've given him several opportunities to do so but he's now gone ghost. He changed my caller ID name to "Money Talks." The people I called wouldn't answer because they didn't recognize the name, and he switched my plan from $40 to $55. The phone wasn't working, so I called the company; they told me to go back to the store and that I could return it. I went back on Monday and explained the situation to the guy, but he thought it was funny and started laughing; he didn't want to exchange it for me. In the end, he did; I had paid $270, but he only refunded me $188.90 plus $25.00 in cash--he kept $57 for service charges, even though I only had the phone for three days. He had sold me a screen protector and a case for $10, and he didn't refund those either. They take advantage of people at this location; be careful and ask for your receipts so you can see exactly what they are selling you.
