Do NOT go here it's a SCAM, I got charged for a screen protector which I NEVER got. Double charged…read morefor the phone case (once caught they gave half back). Among other things, I got my front glass repaired (I paid for the nicer of the 2 options they offer) and it didn't recognize any tapping. So I took it back for them to fix it, again. They didn't want to but eventually said they would, then they (once pulled out) STEPPED IN FRONT OF MY CAR BLOCKING ME FROM LEAVING and ushered me inside to give me my phone back because they said they fixed it. Then in the car otw to a dinner, the screen went black (less than 10 mins of having it). So I took it back AGAIN, also they say they do a 30 min test on the screens to make sure they work correctly) but this is not true because they called me to pick it up within 30 mins of me dropping it off. Unless time machines exist they are lying... It's "fixed" now but we'll see how long until it just stops working again. Spent 420$ and this is the treatment they give, just go anywhere else it will be less of a hassle. (only put five stars so people would see it, all around this place sucks)

Tarzana

These guys really saved me after I accidentally broke my girlfriend's Samsung A52 phone. At first,…read moreI thought the issue was only with the screen, so I took it to another repair shop on Wilshire in Marina del Rey that was supposed to replace the display. Instead, they simply opened the phone, looked at it, and then couldn't even put it back together properly. To make matters worse, they lost the antenna. After that experience, I started searching for real professionals who specialize in micro-soldering. One of the technicians I spoke with recommended Lay Tech Repairs in Tarzana. That turned out to be the right decision. When I arrived, I handed them the phone and explained the entire situation. They inspected the device and said they would try to repair it. Several other repair shops had already told me that the motherboard was damaged and that the only solution would be to replace the entire board, which would have meant losing all the data. Instead, these technicians were able to reconnect the damaged components and repair the board itself. They fixed parts that other technicians had said were impossible to repair. This was extremely important because losing the data would have been a huge problem. I was simply looking for someone who actually had the skills to do the job properly. They took on the repair and completed it the same day. The repair wasn't cheap, of course, but I received the phone back that very day. Since Tarzana is quite far from Santa Monica, I asked them to send the phone to me with Uber, and they arranged it without any problem. I'm truly grateful and confident that they are real professionals who can handle complex repairs that many other shops in Los Angeles refuse to even attempt. Technicians like this are rare, even in a city as large as Los Angeles.

Amazing service, he was really kind, the fix was quick, very educated and speaks spanish.read more

Canoga Park

We had a very bad experience with CellAt at Westfield Topanga…read more We have used this kiosk before to repair phones and even an iPad, so we trusted them and came back again. This time there was a different man working there who introduced himself as the owner/manager, which made us feel comfortable leaving the phone with him. We brought an iPhone 13 with a broken display. The screen was black, but the phone itself was still working. It could still be unlocked if you remembered the passcode positions, it connected to CarPlay, and music played through the car. The phone clearly had power and was functioning -- the display was the only issue. He charged us about $125-$130 for the screen replacement and told us to come back in about two hours. When we returned, he showed us the phone with the new screen connected but not yet glued, and it was working. At that moment the phone was clearly powered on and functional. He also mentioned that the battery was heating up and might need replacement in the future, which we already knew, but again, the phone was still working. After that he finished installing the screen and gave the phone back to us. However, once we got to the car, the phone was completely dead -- it would not turn on, would not charge, and showed no signs of life at all. There was no low-battery symbol or any response from the phone. Because it was already late and my husband was sick, we returned the next evening, but the phone was still completely dead and unresponsive. Instead of helping, the man suddenly claimed that we had brought the phone in already dead, which is simply not true. He himself showed us that the phone was working when the new screen was connected before he sealed it. After arguing, he finally refunded the repair fee, but denied any responsibility for the phone becoming completely unusable after his repair. As a result, a phone that was still functioning when we brought it in became a completely dead device after the repair, forcing us to replace it. My husband had to go without a phone for a week and eventually had to buy another one. We trusted this place because we had repaired devices here before, but this experience was extremely disappointing. Please be very careful before leaving your phone here.

Came to get a screen protector and cleaned my phone thoroughly. Very friendly and helpful!read more
