Trying to get my computer repaired here was a nightmare. They left the store early for the day after they told me my computer was repaired and that I could come pick it up. I arrived at 5:15 pm and there was no one there after I drove across the valley after work during rush hour to pick up my computer the day before my grandmothers funeral. I was understandably upset and I yelled at the employees at L.A. Tech on the phone not to give me excuses or apologies and later in person I apologized for this behavior and used the only derogatory language that I uttered at myself for my own conduct over the phone to their employees while I was apologizing. The reason the employee gave me that he had been absent was that he was signing legal papers a completely different explanation than the one the business owner is claiming after the fact. He was not signing legal papers and he was not on a lunch break 45 minutes before the store closed. Only a fool would believe these explanations. When I spoke to L.A. Techs employees I explained I had failed to install an SSD card and had caused a power issue where my power was making a continuous noise and that I wanted to pay to have this fixed and my SSD card installation resolved since I had not been able to do it myself. I physically handed L.A. Tech my SSD card from the very beginning and left it in their possession to be installed. They told me the power issue was caused by my fan (I knew it wasn't) and that they could fix it by replacing it and could install my SSD card and give me a new HDMI port for 200 dollars. The also tried to convince me to install Windows for 125$. When I brought home the computer the first time after they told me it was fixed the output was completely dead and they had fixed nothing and given me back a brick and were now closed. So I ended up having to take my computer to the other L.A. tech location which was just as horrible and when they finally fixed all the issues and I took my computer home they never actually bothered to connect my SSD card like I had paid for in the first place. After I wrote these reviews the owner of the company pressured his employee to call me 7 times while I was at work to try and pressure me to let them fix my computer, he wanted to come to my house which I felt uncomfortable with after their lack of professionalism so I responded by asking him to stop contacting me and telling him I would resolve matters within the store between me and management. The CEO responded by emailing me telling me they would no longer service me at the store using my anger and apology from the first incident of when their employees were not at the store when they told me I could come and pick up my repaired computer (which was not fixed) as his written excuse for why he would not service me at his store any longer. The CEO has responded with dishonesty about me. He has attacked my character, refused to perform the services I paid for and demonstrated a lack of integrity as a business owner. L.A. tech is a nightmare and this will be the last time I do business with them. All I wanted was a functioning computer with an SSD card installed but all they wanted todo was talk about was selling me a fan, new hdmi ports, installing windows and in the end they never even did the one thing I cared about and just connected my SSD card. And it was their fault it was not me not knowing how to clone my SSD card, I took my computer to another independent repair shop and paid 80$ to have them connect it and to tell me what really happened with this ordeal. If they had said the problem was with my computer and not L.A. Tech I would have taken my 1 star reviews down but they confirmed that L.A. tech put in the SSD card and had just failed to connect it. Completely wasting my time on two separate occasions with total incompetence on the part of its management and employees. This is the single worst managed company I have ever been to for a repair on my computer and I paid money to confirm it because that was worth more to me then letting them finish fixing my computer for free after the lack of integrity displayed by the owner and CEO of the company. I have never had a worse computer repair experience in my whole life. read more

One night my iPad decided to stop charging. I took it here to get it fixed before I went on a trip the next day so it would be ready for pick up once I got back. Once received, it was charging again as usual. That was going great until I attempted to draw on an app using my apple pencil the same day. It would not write properly. At first I thought it may have been the pencil, but I took it back here to see what the issue was. They questioned if I originally brought it in while in that state, which I had not. The apple pencil did not write that way the days preceding the initial repair, and it was safely kept in my room while I was away. They attempted to put the blame on me and charge me $85 for whatever reason, claiming the issue was not covered my the 3-month warranty from the previous repair. They ended up fixing my iPad once again for no cost. The issue was caused by them because they had to go inside the iPad to fix the charging port. Yesterday, I received it once again, the pencil finally wrote normally. However, they caused yet ANOTHER issue. They screwed up my screen a second time. I haven't gone back to the shop at the moment I am writing this review, but this is the second time they fixed an issue and brought up another one. My screen now has a gray marking (I am attaching a photo) presumably from not properly reinstalling the iPad once again.. The service wasn't completely horrible and they fixed my initial issue but since they caused me two other problems and wanted to charge me, next time I'm looking to repair my iPad, I won't be going here.. read more

They said it was a screen problem. They fixed it, I paid and took it home. The next day it stopped working. Took it back, now they're saying it's a mother board issue, so I pay again becuase I've already invested into the phone. I get the phone back a second time. The repair person "lost" my SIM card, more than likely someone stole my SIM card so they could use my number/line. So now I have spent a couple of hundred dollars for a phone that doesn't work. This store is an absolute shit show. I came in to try to get my console repaired. There was no disc drive belt so I couldn't open or close the disc drive. It is a repair that an average person can complete, however I was struggling to get the belt properly in so I brought it to them. They said I needed to replace my whole disc drive, which would cost around $200. I went home and after 5 minutes of attempting I got it working and everything was fine.
