Absolute scam company I paid for a battery be replaced I was quoted $90 And then they charge me $120 They held my computer hostage and wouldn't give it back to me until I paid the extra 33% markup The battery isn't even secure inside the computer They made his excuse as to why wasn't their fault Every time I've been in there, I've heard people complain about why their computers haven't been fixed and why it's taking so long 80% of the reviews on here are probably fake I would avoid this place at all cost. If I could give 0 stars I would. I had my phone stolen and it last pinged here. Come to find out, this place unlocked it for the people who stole it for me. When I called to report this they said they'd reach out and never did. All my memories//txt messages from my 6yr bf who passed away are lost. I wish when they opened and saw the "lost phone" screen would have sent out a "found" message. This would have been the right thing to do.... I brought my PS5 to LA Tech Repairs after it kept crashing during games and randomly shutting off. They diagnosed the problem super quickly and explained everything clearly. It turned out to be an issue with the HDMI port and some overheating. They got it repaired faster than I expected and the console has been running perfectly ever since. Once again, an exemplary experience with Kevin, Jasper and anyone else that works there. Samsung phone died, they fixed it (Ibreakyoufix did not have the parts and no ETA) and I am back in business. Going to purchase a new (used) phone from them next week too. I need to add one more thing. While I was there last night, a man came in with his wife and daughter and was berating the staff as he said that Kevin gave him a price on a repair and said he did not have to pay tax. Huh? Why would a merchant give away 10%? Do that quite a few times and the store is gone and the owner bankrupt. But really, in front of his family, especially his daughter? This is how dad deals with the public? And as for the one star reviews. I like that Kevin responds to each one but come on! If you are going to complain, maybe use spell and grammar checker? They are on your phone or desktop/laptop and they are free! People bringing things back months or a year after a repair and complaining? Come on. Be nice out there. read more

LA Tech Repairs came through for me. My laptop had a problem on a Sunday, right before I needed it for a meeting on Tuesday. Amazingly the store was open on Sunday. I brought it in and they had it back to me at 2:00 PM on Monday. All fixed! I'm so appreciative of the care they took to understand the issue and to expedite the repair. Long story short, I dropped my iPhone the screen popped off. It still worked, but I need it together for work. I called around and LA Tech repair picked up. Jen who answered the call was super friendly and professional. She quoted me the prices, which were very competitive prices. They were open and available to help me right away so I drove down there in about five minutes and handed them my phone (and my sons cracked screen iphone). Within 25min both phones were fixed perfectly. Screen is working better than before (it was a certified refurbished iPhone). That will be my go to iPhone repair shop for now on. They charge $79 "diagnostic fee" and my total was very high. Less then a mile a way (not going to say the name) there was no diagnostic fee the check it for free, and they even were honest with my and suggested not to repair it. And if I did repair it they would have charged me $160 instead of $330! I am not saying then don't know what they are doing but, this is my experience and they probably could do good work but the price was steep. Also the area was pretty bad with homeless people around, and I got some bad vibes from the staff. Overall not bad not good. ! I got a refund for the diagnostic before they actully started! I hate leaving bad reviews but they charged me $150 plus tax to replace my HDMI for the ps5 I had to take it back 3 times within 6 months. The third time they wanted to charge me 130 plus tax to replace it again. I took it down the street for $100. read more

L.A. Tech Repairs has kept my old Moto Z Force Droid running after I tired of Verizon telling me they no longer offer tech support for a phone I bought from them and then trying to upsell me. I don't want to give up the ecosystem of accessories ("mods") I bought for it and that no modern phone can support. L.A. Tech Repairs revived the Droid after an aurora zapped it this May in England (along with half the phones in the group I was with!) and, since then, I've used L.A. Tech to replace a battery and a screen. They are pretty quick about it and their prices seem reasonable and they stand by their work.
