The staff was really kind. However I had my screen replaced and if you turned it to the side, there was a pinkish hue and responsiveness was a bit delayed. I dropped my phone once on the kitchen tile after 2 months of having it replaced and the screen cracked. This wouldn't have happened w an official iPhone screen, which clearly wasn't what they replaced it with. Really disappointed and it was a waste of money. read more

Was quoted a price for an ipad screen repair with a 1-2 day turnaround. Took almost a week for them to actually repair it and when I went in the guy at the counter tried to charge me triple the quote. Luckily I had it in writing. Now, maybe a month or two later and the ipad screen is cracked again even though it hasn't been dropped once. The screen is loose in the corner too - really poor repair service but I give two stars because they did honor their original quote and generally the customer service was good. read more

Recently, my iPhone 15 wouldn't charge and the usb-c wire would constantly fall out. I came today to have the Cellphone guys to check it out. There was debris in the charging port preventing the connection from sitting the right way. The person helping me was able to clean the debris out and fix the issue. Been coming here for years, had an OG iPod fixed here a long time ago and later an iPhone screen repair. The staff is always very nice and helpful. This week I went in because my son had bent the charging cable while it was in the charging port of my iPad Pro making it where I couldn't get the cable in and out to charge. Modern electronics and I don't get along. The psychic waves of my existence interfere with electronics and they tend to go wonky near me: I'm like Mercury retrograde! This most certainly seems to be the case with cell phones. Even though cell phones are assembled to break on us quickly - so that we have to buy new ones - mine tend to start going quickly even though I don't use them for anything but basic functionality (no streaming, no gaming) and don't have viruses. The battery on my phone was starting to poorly hold charge and even though I had insurance through my service provider; I didn't feel like dealing with them. That's where Cellphone Guys came in. I had a concert coming up for my buddies in the boyband 98° and I didn't want my phone to die during the backstage shenanigans or the FIRST row show. A Yelp search brought me to Cellphone Guys with raving reviews and located minutes from my residence. I called to ask a quote for a battery replacement and spoke to LJ. I've NEVER taken any of my cellphones in for a repair (I continue using them even half broken until I seriously can't anymore) nor replaced a battery so I was pretty concerned about the entire process. LJ was super kind, quoted the battery replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S21+ ($100 even after tax) and stayed with me on the phone answering all questions. I'm a panic-y and anxious person as is; but especially about cellphones which we all know are our life lines. I ended up not replacing the battery at this time (my friend let me borrow a wireless charger for the concert) but I knew Cellphone Guys was legit. Flash forward 5 months and my battery was ready to retire into battery heaven. It was going from 90% to 30% to 0! Then 80% to 0! It ceased "fast charging" and all the overcharging was causing 'battery bulge' which, in case you are unfamiliar, is when all the heat expands and puffs your battery and it literally begins to break apart your phone. My phone was literally in two pieces and was only being held together by its protective hard case. I could get a new phone but the phone would die during the transfer of data/apps. I knew it was go-time. I called Cellphone Guys again and this time spoke to Greg. I was in an ultra panic not only because of the battery; but I had 800 other life-or-death situations happening and so I was in a mega emotional state. Greg has the customer service of business gods and immediately ordered my battery for next-day delivery, explained the process reassuring me nothing would happen to my apps/phone contents while changing the battery, confirmed that the phone would dir during transfer to a new one, etc. He was so sweet and even said "This should be the least of your worries. You're in good hands". I showed up the next day to Cellphone Guys housed in a corner shopping plaza at the intersection of Burbank/Whitsett in the Valley Glen neighborhood of North Hollywood. The corner is uber busy and the parking lot is cramped so proceed with caution. I'm sure you're expecting a sketchy dusty, grimy, untrustworthy cell phone repair shop; but rest assured, Yelpers! You won't find that at Cellphones Guys! Instead of Slumville, Cellphone Guys is meticulously clean, spacious, airy with high ceilings and natural light and complete with couches and a large snake plant. A "People Love Us on Yelp" certificate sits by the register so I let out a sigh of relief. Greg welcomed me and again reassured me all would be well (Greg has worked here 13 years out of the 17 the retailer has been in business!). Another customer even told me how wonderful they are and how that is the reason he is a repeat customer. Greg told me to return in about an hour and a half. I returned to pick up my baby and Greg said surgery was successful (haha). He showed me the old battery,  I paid and was out the door. I've since kept my eye on the phone for a week and it is still exhibiting other issues but that nothing to do with the battery or Cellphone Guys - it is just because I am due for a new phone. The battery also seems to going quickly (not even close to how bad as before) but again this is because my phone is shit and using a lot of processing power. If I thought it was the fault of Cellphone Guys; then I would return with the 90 day warranty for another battery. That's right: Cellphone Guys stands by their work with a 90 day warranty! Cellphone Guys is amazing and a lifesaver. Greg and LJ have the some of the best customer service around, repairs aren't crazy expensive and the store is peaceful and clean. If you need anything from LCD screen repair, charger port replacement, camera lens replacement, ear speaker, water damage, diagnostics and the list goes on... then Cellphone Guys are the guys for you! read more

Broke the back glass of my iphone 15 max pro. Got a repair quote from Apple.com for $199. Walked in today for a better price based on good reviews. They quoted me $240. When i asked why they are more expensive than Apple themselves, Employee answered, "How much are they charging?" when i told them $199, he proceeded to say theyd "match" that price. Why wouldnt I just go directly to Apple for the same price? You would think they would be well aware of the manufacturer repairs standard pricing to stay competitive. Nevertheless, someone 5 mins away fixed my phone for less than half of this companies quote with confirmed OEM parts within an hour. read more

I popped in at 7pm to get my iPhone camera glass repaired. They quoted me $60 and had it done in 30min! I also appreciate that they were transparent with me in saying that the glass they will use is aftermarket and not original Apple. Really honest customer service, friendly and efficient. This CellPhonesGuys store is walking distance from us. I went in today because I was sure I need to replace the charging jack on my older iPhone. I'm very much a tech guy, and was thinking of doing the work myself, but it is a daunting task for this particular phone (easily $60 in parts and special tools, not to mention 2-3 hours of my time), so I thought I would get an estimate by way of comparison. I was greeted by Greg. I told him my problem, and he instantly said, "Your charging jack is probably dirty. Let me clean it out first." Now I have cleaned that jack. I have made special little tools out of wood to clean that jack. That jack was 100% clean I WAS SURE! So I said, "Good luck," and smiled with arms crossed like you do when you are a smug little jerk. About a minute later Greg had the jack cleaned out (really clean, not pretend clean like I had done), and the phone was charging just fine. All with a smile. For this Greg charged me absolutely nothing. FREE! NO COST! Which is why I am passing this bit of info to you for the same price. This store is highly rated for a reason. If you have a problem with your phone, even if you KNOW EXACTLY WHAT THE PROBLEM IS, go and see them first. You'll be glad you did. DO NOT GO HERE! I got my phone repaired here a month ago, two weeks later I had a dark spot on my screen. I could live with that but then today my phone completely turns off and won't work. I call Cellphone Guys and they tell me to come in and they will look at it. When I go in they tell me it will be a couple of hours wait for them to even look at my phone to see what's wrong with it. Not only was it their faulty repair that caused me to be their in the first place, but even after I called and asked if I could be helped now, they then won't even look at my phone quickly to diagnose the problem. GO HERE! Cell Phone Factory & Repair on Ventura It's a 10 minute drive and they took care of me in 15 minutes for the same price. When they looked at my phone they found the removable plastic film had been left on the screen, from the replacement done by CellPhone Guys a month prior. That caused the screen to malfunction and could have eventually caused much worse damage. If CellPhone Guys had just taken 5 minutes to unscrew my phone they would have seen what a poor job they did. I was met with such unfriendly and deceptive customer service that I wanted to warn people not to trust this place. From poor repair job, to lying about wait time over the phone, to not standing by their faulty product, to just being unreasonable. I had a terrible experience here and hope to save you from a similar struggle. read more

I had used Cellphone Guys for many years - mostly for cracked screens on my daughter's iPhones/iPads etc. Recently though, i had a more challenging task for them.......to say the least. I had accidentally driven over my own iPhone with a fully loaded moving truck (long, embarrassing story) and the incident didn't end well for the phone, in fact, it seemed to me like it was smashed to pieces. Not only was the screen completely damaged and showing no signs of life, but the back of the frame was severely cracked too. Before resigning myself to having to shell out for a new phone, i though i'd take the thing to Cellphone Guys if only for confirmation of it's untimely demise. L.J. was not only extremely amiable to deal with, but after about 5 seconds of examining it said; "It's fine - we can probably fix it". I was both astonished and doubtful, but as he seemed so confident it was worth letting him have a go. About 4-5 hours later he called to say it was ready for pickup. I was absolutely amazed - not only with the skilled repair job and general pleasant demeanor of L.J., but with the incredibly robust design of the iPhone X! I couldn't recommend Cellphone Guys any higher. read more

I freaked out on a Saturday because for some reason, my charger dongle was not fitting properly into the port of my iPhone, and it was at 4% battery. Like most people, I have a lot of my life on my phone. I figured there was something in the port blocking the dongle. I tried hard to get it out myself, but couldn't figure out what it was and how it was stuck. Thankfully, unlike a lot of other repair spots near me, this place was open the next day. The person working the counter was very friendly and was immediately able to look at my phone and find the issue. He charges it for me to make sure it turns back on to be sure. AND he didn't charge me for it. Even though it was a small thing, I was still willing to pay something for it for his time and labor. Side note: I also appreciate how this guy handled customers while I was waiting for my phone to charge. There was a man who didn't speak English well and was very demanding, saying something they did for him went wrong. Despite the frustrating situation, he remained professional and patient the best he could. Parking was a little bit of a struggle because the store is in one of those pitifully small lots where only 8 cars can fit at a time for 4 different stores. But it didn't take me too long. I just had to make one round around the block. I most definitely will be coming back if anything else comes up. Love the location and loved the service. read more
