What a horrific scam of a place. I've given this place 2 opportunities to fix my phone. First time was to replace my broken screen. Second time was for m iPhone camera (different phone). Screen died after 2 months and the camera died 3 months later!!! During both phone repairs, the battery health also began to decrease. Upon taking to another servicer, they noted that my original phone battery was swapped for a refurbished one. Response to your response: I don't often write these negative reviews and do write many positives of experience is excellent. You might want to check with your guy up front swapping batteries -- my phones never came in for battery repair or changes, so there's no reason the battery should have been swapped! I called and brought the iPhone in for a camera repair twice, and both times (during warranty) you guys are installing some faulty camera where the lens distorts and camera audio sounds like a 1985 jukebox! Instead of fighting back here, waste some time figuring out what the issue was with your tech installation kid. Horrible shop, they sold LCD iPhone replacement screen for $160 saying it was OLED which is superior technology. The screen broke within 2 weeks, without any impact whatsoever. It's Christmas Eve, I'm rushing out the door and the inevitable happens: I drop my phone and the damn screen cracks. After shouting a few expletives, I came straight to yelp. Based on their positive and consistent reviews, I decided to give this place a shot. I patiently waited for their store to open after Christmas Day. As another yelper mentioned, the parking lot here is tiny and mostly reserved for the dispensary and other shops. (But it's Burbank and Woodman--walk a little, you'll find parking). David was very professional and quoted me right away. It appears they base their prices on the model of your phone. I heard him quote a girl $40 for a 3Gs and was a bit envious :/ (I have the 4s so it came out to $70 for me, including the $5 discount I received for mentioning yelp!) All in all, I'd definitely come back here. Even if you do find a place that will do it cheaper, it's probably going to be in Chinatown/Downtown, and I've heard nothing but horror stories from other people. JUST COME HERE! They also sell mobile accessories such as cases, chargers etc. David even kindly offered me a discount for accessories, which I thanked him for, but didn't need at the time. He also put a screen protector on my phone for free. Talk about going the extra mile. Lastly, I thought I would embarrass myself with one last tidbit. After admiring my newly repaired screen, I made a phone call and noticed the volume sounded really low. Naturally, I turned it all the way up; same problem. I thought it was somehow attributed to the recent screen repair. I drove back the next day to see David and it turns out the receiver had something stuck in there. He quickly air dusted it, gave it back to me and said, "Happy Holidays." Had I bothered to look closely, I could have done that myself! UPDATE: I had a 7 day warranty for the work that they did. Of course after the 7 day warranty my port was messing up again. I was told they had replaced the port but clearly it was just a temporary fix. Kind of wasted my money because my phone went back to making the same mistake. There should definitely be an extended warranty for customers in the future. My samsung galaxy s3 needed a new port. They fixed it at a very reasonable price in under 3 hours. If you have issues with your Mac Laptop and its out of warranty, BRING IT TO THESE GUYS! My Black Macbook from 2008 was giving me all kinds of trouble. After a little research, Yelp led me to SmartStop Wireless. They said it would be $35 for diagnostic and then that would go towards the cost of my repair which was no problem. I also told them I had a budget for the repair and it was approximately an eighth of what Apple wanted to charge me for a logic board (they assumed this was the issue when I brought it to them first). They had my computer for maybe an hour before they called me and said my computer's logic board was bad. This is normally a very expensive fix and the Apple store would have charged me enough to make it more worth it to just buy a new computer. They replaced the logic board in 24 hours and my computer works PERFECT again. It was VERY afforadble to say the least. Also dealing with them is very easy and personable. Obviously if ur computer is still under warranty, Apple is the way to go since they'll fix stuff for free, but if not, take it to SmartStop. read more
