In typical Yelper fashion, I looked online for some local reviews and saw one less than positive review for this place, but also observed that the only other one had a stellar positive review. That week, I was really in a stretch for cash (my rent was due the next day) so I just had to call and find out how much it would be. The guy on the phone was really nice and when I asked for the price, he quoted me $65. $65?! That was much less than the other places I had called, and it was closer to home too! Needless to say, I ended up driving over there and this is how it went. I didn't wait in line. My IPhone started to fix it right away. My iPhone was ready to go in 20 minutes. Now it looks totally new ! PLUS they even brought out during surgery to show me that the last time it was repaired (yes, "I'm guilty" of being a klutz.), they had left a sticker of film inside the phone. What, really? I was recommended to this place by a friend and I happy i came here. I live about 20 mins east but it was totally worth the drive. My iPhone 5c was completely damaged by cracked screen and internal LCD. I thought it was a simple glass replacement but the guys here told me it required me to change the whole screen which would cost over $200. Hesitant of doing so I trusted the guys there to do a good job. And they did. I called over 20 times and bugged them but they were very patient with me and assured to not worry about my phone it would be back in normal working order after they finished. There are two things I appreciate in local businesses -- great customer service and efficiency! I needed to repair my iPhone 5c screen (glass only) and, of course, took to Yelp to find the best shop closest to me and for the best price. I found Smart Stop and paid them a visit on 7/2/14 to ask about pricing as well as repair time, etc. It was right before closing so I planned on coming by the next morning right when they opened so I could have it fixed before I went in to work. Sure enough, I brought my phone by today at 7am (so AWESOME that they open early, especially if you have an emergency before work!) and dropped it off with Mark. He understood my time constraints and told me he would do everything he could to get it to me in time. A couple hours later and I was picking up my phone from him and back on the road on the way to work! The quality of the screen is great, you cannot even tell it is a replacement! I fell with my iPhone 6 in my hand that stopped my fall - on the edge of an metal escalator step. Everything still worked, but it was really messed up. Screen shattered, like powder down by the button. A friend told me about this place and I went by at 7:30pm tonight. Nick came out and was totally sympathetic and informative and just awesome. These guys Say they guarantee their product for 60 days but when their product doesn't work after third replacement in three days they say your phones broken. Then I go up the street and get another screen put on my iPhone and it works beautifully they still won't give me my full refund back from stalling a faulty product that doesn't sound much of a guaranteed me. They want to keep $25 for the labor for installing a product that doesn't work that's ridiculous Update !!! This has to be one of the best deals you can get in the Valley to fix your smart phone. Long story short, I dropped my iPhone 4 and the screen completely broke. After shopping around Smart Stop Wireless had to be the most affordable, I was quoted $65 for the front glass which is less than other places charging upwards of $100 (Which is what Smart Stop Wireless charged for a full color change). They offer a variety of different service including screen repairs, Full Color Conversions, sell cell phone accessories, unlocked phones and more. They were friendly and I got a promotional discount of $5 through Yelp which is more of a plus. The only thing about my experience is that while I read through reviews that it takes anywhere from 20-30 minutes I was there closer to an hour (this was on a rainy Saturday when no one was there). In addition, later when I took my phone to AT&T to change out my Sim card, the representative there was able to spot out that the screen on the iPhone had been replaced and pointed out things like the sensor being visible was the giveaway. I had gotten it repaired in December at a shoddy mall kiosk in Seattle where there were lost screws and other such mess ups. Those guys are amazing! I went today with my Macbook Pro that had been liquid damaged. The screen was black (backlight problem) . Everyone around wanted to charge anything from $250 to $500. My experience here was more than I could ask for. I showed up on Christmas Eve with a broken phone that had pictures of my babies first few months on it. They were able to retrieve the images and video and transfer the data to my new phone. Also, they stayed open later than planned for Christmas Eve to make sure they could transfer everything over before Christmas. They were super nice and genuinely interested in helping me. When I got home that night we looked at the pictures and then when I connected my phone to my home computer something happened in the transfer and the data was erased from my phone. When I returned the day after Christmas they spent another hr or so trouble shooting the problem until we were able to transfer all the data to my laptop before I left the store. They said their service was covered by their warranty and did not charge me anything extra when I returned. I would recommend this spot to anyone who has data recovery issues. read more
