But the last time I went to them (to fix my broken screen) first off, they gave me a cheap iphone 5s screen that turned yellow the day after! So I went back to get it replaced and got it fixed for free, but now my screen keeps freezong! (2weeks after the second fixing). I want to call this guys to tell them but what's the point? Even IF they fixed for free (again) because of their own mistake, I wouldn't go back to that store ever again. They are helpful and friendly. My phone was not charging brought it to Smart Stop Wireless and all my phone needed was a simple clean of the charging port. They cleaned it checked to see it that fixed the problem and it did gave my phone back and said thanx for stopping in. Could of charged me $20 or more like most places do. Smart Stop turned out to be a STUPID STOP. Buyer beware. They might fix your phone, but they might just break it too in the process and those aren't very good odds. I brought my phone in for a simple glass repair and ended up with a broken LCD. I dropped my Samsung Galaxy S5 and shattered the glass. Smart Stop confirmed that only my glass was broken and they saw no other damage. They had my glass in stock and I was told it would take 3 hours to fix. After 4 hours, I call them and I'm informed that they need another part to fix my phone and I will have it back the next day. (But my part was already in stock supposedly...) I stupidly just let that go. The next day the mysterious part still hadn't arrived and I'm given the runaround about when I'll have my phone back. Eventually, I find out that they were waiting on an LCD for my phone because they broke my LCD when trying to fix the glass. Smart Stop doesn't admit they actually broke my LCD in the first place until the LCD screen goes out a day later and I bring my phone back in. Instead, they place the blame on me. They claim that I broke my LCD when I absolutely did not. They insist that I dropped or sat on the phone which did not happen. All I did was put a screen protector on my phone and leave it untouched overnight. They gave me the runaround for 2 days because they didn't want to acknowledge that they broke my LCD during a simple glass repair. A 3 hour job took 2 days and I ended up with a phone with no picture--worse off than when I came with just a broken glass. They refused to give me a refund and blamed me for their inferior work. I was told that I already cost them money out of their pocket because they had to replace my LCD--but they're the ones who broke it so that makes absolutely no sense!!!! And then they also threw in that I "used a Yelp deal" so I was really ahead of the game. (Please don't offer Yelp deals if you don't want potential customers to use them. I wish you didn't have one and I might have bypassed you and saved myself some money by going somewhere else in the first place) They "felt badly" so they offered to replace my LCD for a lower fee than normal--just their cost. Nice I guess,but I ultimately declined. I would never trust them with my phone again and I wasn't giving them a penny more. Clearly they can't install an LCD well enough to fix their own mistake. I'm the only one who lost money in this deal--they replaced the glass but broke the LCD. I was left with a phone that I couldn't use. Ultimately, I had to take my phone somewhere else and spend $250 to get the LCD fixed properly on top of the $108 (with yelp deal) that I already paid Smart Wireless. There's nothing else I can do because they already have their money from me. I learned a valuable lesson the hard way trying to save a few bucks. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else! read more

My iPad screen replacement had a particle on the inside, so in the middle of my screen is a small black dot the size of a pepper...I pointed it out but since their 'technician' was not around they couldn't know for sure if it was their issue. They are helpful when you come in, but if you have any issues when picking up they give excuse after excuse why it's not their fault and how they could re-fix it if I leave it with them. I would not recommend them, and even though I thought I made the right decision checking out their reviews on yelp, I wish I went somewhere else. read more

Then another guy came in who worked there with food and went to the back. So as I wait. Both guys r in the back. Girl and I r waiting in front. Discovered Smart Stop Wireless through Yelp yesterday after the charger port on my unibody Macbook stopped working and the trackpad wouldn't click. I normally go to MacHollywood on Lankershim, but found it was gone, so I came to Yelp for a speedy and effective solution. Smart Stop had great reviews and now I understand why. David at Smart Stop was extremely helpful and suggested the repair would have minimal turnaround, and that it did. I got it back this morning (!!!), which was great because, as a writer, I need my laptop. Everything was under $100 - much less than I expected. So grateful to Yelp for directing me here and extra-grateful to David and Smart Stop for such excellent service. This is where I'm coming from now on. I really do like Smart Stop. It is in such a convenient location (easy to get to and not on clusterf*** Ventura blvd!) and is close to my house but mostly they do a fast good job and they're always available to answer my questions and take my phone. I have cracked my screen twice and both times I took it there and they fixed it within a couple hours for only $50. I know a lot of places that will overcharge you and will probably tell you they're using apple product glass to replace the broken glass but they're probably lying. I'm smart enough and know enough about phone business that most smart businessmen are not gonna waste their money on buying apple screen replacements when they can get just as good of a product somewhere else in bulk. If you drop your phone after you get it fixed and the screen breaks that's your own fault--don't blame the "fix it" business by claiming they used a cheap product replacement on your phone. Apple is dumb in the first place to use glass that could easily break--couldn't they have found better material to make the iPhone with? Idk just a thought... The only qualm I have with this place is that when I was there yesterday I bought a white bumper for my phone and the guy was super friendly and he knew I was hesitant if I wanted to spend the extra $10 on the bumper...I did anyways. But it was kind of crappy when I got home to write a nice review for him on yelp just to see that I could have gotten "$5 off accessory" if I had checked in--yes it my fault and I should have looked just in case, but I think it would have been good customer service if he would have pointed that out to me especially knowing I was hesitant to buy the bumper anyways. But meh I give him benefit of the doubt though--he could have just not been thinking of it! read more

The first time, they somehow charged and turned my phone on, but the second time. They refused to do anything, just let me wait forever. I went to Apple Store today. Stop!!! Do not go to this place!!!! No stars for for them!!! I took my sons iPad for them to change the screen and came back home and it wasn't charging. They broke all the wires inside when changing the screen. When I told them that it was their fault cuz it was charging just fine, they said it wasn't anything they did. That is not what the Apple Store told me! I am very upset. It cost me 400 for the iPad and 100 to change the screen not happy at all. They should have given me a new one. Thanks guys for fixing my phone!!! I went to change the front screen of my iPhone 4S, that crashed after I dropped it on the floor. Fixing the front glass is $75 and if you want to change the whole look of the phone, you can change both front and back for fun colors like yellow, purple, blue, red etc. I ended up changing both glasses and my phone looks great! Customer service was good and everyone was very attentive. The only reason I give it a 4 star is that I believe prices are a bit steep. Overall, very satisfied!!! read more

I'm not sure if my review is too nice because I admittedly have not gotten to any repair places other than this one. I have nothing to compare my experience to, however, the service here I thought was great. The guy I talked to was super nice and got to fixing my Iphone screen right away. My screen has now been fixed for quite some time and I have yet to experience any problems. They also gave me a free screen protector for mentioning I found them on yelp which I thought was nice. Price was $60 so not too bad. Overall I'm happy and will return if I break my screen again (which I hope I won't do). read more

So i dropped my s3, first time i dropped it..SOB! Went into a frantic ocd mode trying to get it fixed asap and found these guys. David assured me it would be ready 4 hours later. When I came back i was informed that because the glass broke the way it did, it caused permanent damage to the lcd when they tried to replace just the glass. I felt sorta conned at first but, I can understand how fragile these things can be and why some places won't even bother replacing just the glass when it CAN cause more damage. I could tell they were very sincere and were willing to give me a new lcd at the price they get it for. All and all i spent 190 for a whole new lcd and glass. Not bad at all. THANKS GUYS! read more

I live in the neighborhood and do some computer repair for friends from time to time and I had a hard drive in a case that the screws were so rusted I couldn't get them out. So I thought... let me walk down to Smart Stop and see if they have any tools I don't have to get these damn screws out. I talked to Mark and told him my dilemma and he said without hesitation that he would help. I offered to pay but he said no worries.
