Let's talk about the phone doctor and how he was able to get rid of my anxiety. On Thursday night my phone decided to completely shut down (the day before heading out to Disneyland with two kids by myself to celebrate my daughter's birthday and Mother's Day) my anxiety started. I found FastFix on Yelp. I called and Mike informed me if I was there by 8:15pm he would take a look at my phone. Well, I arrived to a smoke shop (the cell phone place is within the smoke shop along with a food court) Mike greeted me with professionalism and was able to fix my entire phone within 30mins. when I first walked in, I was a little hesitant because I know this place used to be like a stripper bikini store across from a strip club But I just now turned into a multi store with Boba smoke shop and phone repair. I have to say they were very friendly. They knew exactly what I needed. My 11-year-old dropped their iPhone cracked the screen so bad that I couldn't even really see it. But left it with them. They said it would be 45 minutes to an hour. I came back an hour later and it was ready looking crisp and clean working and awesome! Very friendly very fast and they fix the phone! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE - SCAM SCAM SCAM. I cannot believe what they did. (Its a long review, if you just wanna skip to the last couple of paragraphs I summarize what these people did) On March 8th I came in because my screen was cracked. At first everything was good, they gave me the price (I have an iphone 11 pro) and I paid for an ORIGINAL REFURBISHED screen, I had ZERO interest in a third party screen (because not only does it affect your trade-in price but the colors are way darker than original screen) the price I believe was around $120; seemed reasonable and they did it within 30 min so everything seemed ok at this point. But then I noticed that the front camera was a little fuzzy and not sharp regardless of how good I would clean it, I then I saw a little crumb in the camera, and I thought it was between the glass screen protector (that I also bought there) and the screen. But when I removed the glass protector (which shatters when you remove it) I realized that THE TECHNICIAN LADY LEFT A CRUMB INSIDE THE ACTUAL CAMERA OF THE PHONE. Wow, I was like, ughhh now I have to drive there explain the situation, spend time to do this again. But fine I went there. When I was explaining what happened, the front desk lady (the only girl working the front desk with long dark hair) told me that yes we can fix it but the technician lady (in the back of the store) advices me that there might be a chance that the screen would crack in order to clean the crumb. I said, ok, so if it cracks fixing something you did wrong from the beginning, I need to be liable for your BAD WORK? She started to get flustered and gave me so much attitude. They left a crumb inside the camera. I came back. You need to fix your bad work. If the phone cracks then you need to be liable for that, because I didn't give you my phone with a crumb in it. Anyways, I went back and forward with her trying yo explain common sense, but for some reason she just wouldn't get it. Finally I just asked to speak with the manager/technician lady. Who immediately start to give me attitude, I explained everything again and again, saying I shouldn't be liable if you crack the screen by you fixing a bad job from the start, I told her I use my phone for work so I need a good front and back camera....she then said "and if you use your phone for work you are just coming now" First of all the audacity. Second I dont need to explain myself my timing of coming or the fact that I have a camera at home as a back etc.... Anyways that is so not the point. The point is that these two LADIES gave me attitude knowing that the easy solution and common sense was just to fix my phone without making me liable for removing a crumb they left there!!!! They finally took my phone fixed it and gave it back after all that drama.....BUT!!!!!! TO PUT A CHERRY ON TOP. They actually GAVE ME A THIRD PARTY SCREEN AND NOT AN ORIGINAL REFURBISHED which is what I paid for from the beginning!!!!! After a couple of days after I noticed that my screen was darker, I thought they wouldn't, days kept going and I decided to compare with my friends phone and it looked significantly darker!!! I still couldn't believe it. So I went to BEST BUT and the guy inspected the screen with the light, and also saw in setting that the iphone does not recognize the screen. I CHOOSE NOT TO GO BACK TO THAT PLACE. Because they just treat me like shit. BUT I DO CHOOSE TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT HOW THEY GAVE ME A THIRD PARTY SCREEN INSTEAD OF AN ORIGINAL SCREEN which is what I paid for. The owner of this place needs to check this technician lady. I emailed some businesses on Yelp regarding getting my phone screen and LCD fixed. I decided to go with FastFix bc the person messaging seemed nice and he told me they only use original Samsung parts. When I went to bring my phone in, I realized I'd been there before and had a bad experience, but since I was already there and needed my phone fixed, I decided to give it another shot. I confirmed with the woman who took my phone that it was going to be fixed with an original Samsung part. When I got my phone back, I was grateful that they fixed it, however, the screen looked darker than it had previously. It was almost as though there was a purple tint to it. The man fixing phones came out to address my problem. In the process of doing so he told me, "this is an after-market screen." I was taken aback. I told him that I was told it would be an original Samsung part, and he backtracked, said it was the original Samsung part, then disapppeared to the back. The woman from earlier came to help and compared her Samsung phone to mine to show that the brightness was comparable. However, in a side by side comparison, her phone was noticably brighter than mine. The only time my phone could compare was when she turned the brightness all the way up to the maximum brightness, which she said you're not supposed to do with the phone. I took it directly to another phone repair service for an assessment and based on what I paid and how it looked, he was 99% sure that it was probably an after-market screen. While I am happy that the screen was fixed, I'm incredibly disappointed in the service. In the emails, they were the ones to volunteer the information about it being an original Samsung part. I don't know why they would do that just to sell me something after-market. Why even mention it? I should have just gone somewhere else. read more

I was confused when I first pulled with all of the various signage, but with plenty of parking I pulled in to figure it out. Is it a phone repair shop? An ice cream shop? A vape shop? Is it a water bottle filling station? Yes. When you walk in you can see, despite being a hodgepodge of businesses, it's a well laid out and planned shop that draws upon 4 niche markets to make 1 seemingly vibrant business. The staff was very pleasant and efficient to get you in and out. I was pleased with everything up until I picked up my iPad; Despite having a new screen installed it was covered in finger and hand prints which is a pretty unprofessional delivery that's should've taken them 3-seconds to do. As I was cleaning it off, I noticed a spot that was UNDER the new screen. They asked if I wanted it fixed; Kinda deflected my concerns and pointed out the damaged edges. Um, yea. That's why I brought it in because it was dropped. I continued to clean the screen and noticed 3 more finger prints UNDER the glass. I was really displeased at this point, but they did offer to fix it, but it'd take another day and another trip. Picked up the iPad and it was still covered in hand/finger prints; Irks the shit outta me that they don't do the bare minimum professionalism of cleaning the screen off! I took it home, cleaned it up and there were still some issues under the screen. iPhone repair shops are a dime-a-dozen and I probably wouldn't head back for that service read more
