    UPDATE IN RESPONSE TO OWNER: ​The owner's response is…read morefactually inconsistent with the service I was provided. Before I agreed to the $450 repair, the technician explicitly stated they needed to open the device first to verify the main boards were functional. They specifically told me they didn't want to charge me for a screen if the phone wouldn't work. Only after they confirmed "everything works fine" did I pay and proceed with the repair. ​To now claim the SIM issue is an "unrelated board problem" is a direct contradiction of their own initial diagnostic. The phone worked for a very short period before the SIM card failed--a common result of a loose connection or a damaged ribbon cable during a screen swap on an S24 Ultra. ​By their own admission, the board was healthy when they took my money. If it is non-functional now, it is a result of their workmanship. I also stand by my original statement regarding the $200 offer and the attempt to bribe me for a positive review, both of which remain unaddressed. I am seeking a full resolution for the damage caused to my device. UPDATE [Date]: THE PLOT THICKENS ​After further investigation, I discovered the "no service" issue was actually due to a T-Mobile billing/blacklist status--not a hardware failure. While the owner was correct that the phone was blocked, their "professional diagnostic" was a blatant attempt to scam me. They told me to my face that the motherboard was fried and that the phone was "no longer fixable," yet they offered to buy it for $250 for parts. ​Think about that: they were prepared to take a $1,300 Galaxy S24 Ultra with a brand-new screen and perfectly healthy internal hardware by lying about the "main board" being broken. They were clearly hoping I'd hand over the device so they could flip it or use the pristine parts, knowing full well the board was fine. ​Between the bribe for a good review and this "fake" hardware diagnostic, this business has proven they prioritize predatory profit over honesty. Do not let them "diagnose" your devices--they will tell you it's junk just to buy it from you for cheap.

I had replaced the SIM card two months prior when it did the same thing. After spending the whole morning on the phone with them, trying all kinds of procedures to make it work, they told me it would be fixed in 48 hours, which meant four days without a phone. By then, I'd had enough of Lyca. I walked into the T Mobile store in Encino & a very knowledgeable technician replaced the SIM card, gave me a new telephone number & plan & had the phone working perfectly in five minutes.

First off, the whole concept of trying to get someone's attention for checking in was a major bitch. We walked in, there were about 8 people sitting around while 2/3 employees were there. We looked around trying to figure out where if we needed to put our name down somewhere for service. No where in sight for that. There was no one greeting you to get your information and asked what the visit was for. We ended up walking around a bit waiting for someone to talk to. We almost walked out until someone actually spoke to us and took our information to be put on the list. Bryan, who actually took our name and helped us was quite nice. Of course he was helping others so obviously busy. It was a good half hour or so till we were actually helped with. Throughout the store, there were only 3 employees working that afternoon. There was some question we had regarding internet service which he helped answered. He answered and explained what questioned we had about the service. Service was nice once we got helped. Furthermore, the whole layout seemed somewhat like an Apple Store. Service was slow as there were only 3 employees working. And the way of checking in, that needs an improvement. There should be someone checking you in or taking your name instead of waiting for one of the staff to put it down. Or have a systems with adding yourself to a waitlist. They were all busy so even when new people walked in, they as well didn't know as how to check in. After being seen, it was good. Bryan was sweet and answered every question we had.
