My wife and I have been going to best buy since 2009. We have bought cell phones, Tvs, speakers laptops security cameras, and so much more here they have it. Every time we go to any of the locations mainly the Marysville one but we have always been treated with the most up most respect and they have even help us with price comparisons on an occasion or two. They are always super friendly and it's always easy if we need tech support for an item. You can call, go online or even in store for most anything, I do perfer in store the most. If there was any questions that one didn't know for sure they would go and make sure they had the right answer. No smoke blowing here just to get a sell. Very poor customer service -- impossible to get help even when ready to buy I am extremely disappointed with the customer service at this Best Buy location. Even when you come with a clear intention to purchase products, it is nearly impossible to do so because you simply cannot find an employee who is able or willing to help. Every staff member you approach redirects you to someone else, says "someone will come to help you," and asks you to wait. You wait 20, 30, sometimes even over an hour -- and no one ever comes. This is not a one-time incident. I have experienced the same situation three or four times already, and each visit ends the same way: wasted time and no assistance. As a customer who is ready to spend money, this experience is incredibly frustrating. If Best Buy wants to keep customers and sales, basic in-store assistance should not be this difficult to receive. I've never had any luck shopping at this store. The employees stand around chatting with others and aren't interested in helping you, however in January, I took a chance and ended up spending $700 on a new cell phone. The employee talked me into buying a unique charging device for an additional $40. It worked great until the end of April when it literally "fell apart "! it's defective and can't be fixed. I returned it to the store with the original box asking for an exchange since it's obviously a manufactures defect. The employee told me "it's against their policy" to honor anything after 30 days! I HAD THE RECEIPT, the box and the item. He could see it waa defective and told me to contact the company! Just one more reason I will never set foot in that store again and caution everyone else to do the same! They deserve to go out of business! HORRIBLE! Do not go here! I wasted hours of my life. Two days and two trips & my gas. I was looking to have my computer checked on, and 2 iPhone batteries replaced. I was told online, no problem! just walk in whatever and it'll get taken care of. Obviously that was far from the truth. I walk in yesterday and stand in line for 30 minutes. Then, the guy tells me oh we can't do anything today. Make an appointment. Ok. I was telling him the issues with all 3 devices and he obviously was not listening at all. He said he would book me from 12:20 today until 1pm and a little after. So three appointments for 3 devices! Well guess what? Today I walk in and a different guy says I have no appointment, the guy from yesterday booked me under my grandmas name, not my name, and only one appointment for one device at 1pm!!!! Wtf??? Then I get told today they do not work on any devices under an Iphone 11 and they don't work on chromebook's AND they don't replace batteries on phones with cracked back screens. That would've been nice to know YESTERDAY so I didn't waste my time coming back today. Unbelievable. I'm so annoyed and will never return. I lost my Samsung Buds 3 Pro headphones and was looking to replace them. I found a good trade-in offer on Samsung.com for my older Buds 2 Pro, so I called Best Buy corporate on August 29th at 425.355.9490 to confirm if I could get the same offer in-store, as they have Best Buy Mobile on-site. I was assured that I could. On September 1st, I visited the store and worked with a helpful Samsung representative and a best buy rep named Faiz. During our interaction, I was informed that I had been misled by corporate and that they would not honor the offer, which I understood. However, I happened to have an extra pair of AirPods Pro that I could trade in for an $80 credit, which I was willing to accept. I was then told I wouldn't receive any credit without a lightning cable, even though I could get credit for my Buds 2 Pro without a cable. At this point, Faiz walked away and began assisting another customer, which upset me. I asked to speak with the manager, Justin Henson, who dismissively told me he wasn't going to help and didn't care that I had spent thousands at this store this year alone. This was one of the worst customer experiences I've had, and I will not do business with the Everett Best Buy store again. read more

Very uncomfortable experience with their Open-Box system. I made the trek up to Everett after work to score what I thought was a solid deal on a TV I'd been tracking through Best Buy's website. The TV that was listed as in "Good Condition" with no explicit comments. Turns out, it was actually missing hardware essential to use and came with the wrong One Connect connector, a damaged One Connect port, and a chipped screen. A major misrepresentation. I returned it to my local Best Buy (Lynnwood) to save time and because it was listed on Best Buy's policy as totally fine to do. Unfortunately, I was met by the Lynnwood manager with a lot of skepticism (understandably, in retrospect ... they probably thought I was trying to scam them). They checked video footage and confirmed the TV had been tested, so something else sketchy must have happened along the way -- maybe someone purchased as Open-Box and returned it before me, and an employee failed to inspect it, falsified the condition report, and accidentally swapped the One Connect cable? Not sure, but it wasted a lot of my time, caused major anxiety and discomfort when I came in to return it, and ruined my Best Buy brand loyalty & trust. From what I hear, this may not be an uncommon experience with Everett, and I hope management looks more deeply at what's going on with Open-Box at this store. I just visited my local bestbuy (a former employer of mine as well. Many years ago) well, I make my purchase in the PC dept. And then make my way towards the exit. As I approached the main entrance the armed and bullet proofed security guard said my name to me taking me completely off guard. He was clearly watching me and somehow my personal information was available to him before I got there. This is 110% unacceptable to me as a cash paying customer. I have a reasonable amount of privacy I expect in public, and an armed guard shouldn't need my name. Ever. I was prepared to show my receipt as proof of ownership, but this is totally uncalled-for. Purchased a new TV and had it delivered on 1/27. The delivery was poor quality. They unboxed the TV and sat it on the ground. Gave us the stands and left. They took the box with them and the REMOTE!! I called and had to go round and found with their customer service agents. Finally someone was able to help us. They are bringing us a new remote but we have to wait a week! There are no external buttons to control the TV so we can't even turn it on until we get the remote. The Absolute worst! We were warned, and we should have listened. Bought new oven/micro combo, had to wait 2+ weeks for delivery (that's fine, understandable). 3 days before the scheduled installation- they don't have the microwave. We did not want to install a brand new oven, only to later install a microwave on top that could fall and shatter the top. We opted to wait, another 2 weeks. Installation day arrives, one guy shows up halfway into the 4 hour window given. He doesn't have the oven. He removes our microwave and oven- leaving a huge mess, my husband has to get the mop and vacuum out for all the dust from new holes drilled, etc. He installs the microwave. INCORRECTLY- no way did he even test it, vent isn't set correctly, parts have fallen down within it, and it's insanely loud. His boss arrives, I still do not know why. They leave to find the oven. They never did. We call customer service, 20+ minutes, no result. We call back in 2 hours- you can have oven sometime between 7am and 7pm in 2 days, probably. We call again, another 40 min call- no one can fix microwave that WAS NEVER INSTALLED CORRECTLY TO BEGIN WITH for 4 days, sometime between noon and 8pm, probably. ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE. TOTAL JOKE. DON'T BUY HERE and expect a delivery! Absolute EMBARRASSMENT poor customer service! We bought a refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dishwasher around $3200. We paid for the delivery to come on Sunday as we were originally told, we get a message from SSA Logistics saying my Best Buy order will be delivered on Thursday from 8:30-10:30, no show... we get a call at 11 asking if 1:30-2:30 arrival will be ok for a reschedule. We said yeah no problem just give me a 30 minute heads up so I can meet you, since my wife has to leave to work. I get a text message saying the delivery is coming at 1:55pm as it's 1:30. I still don't receive a phone call until 1:40 the CSR Tanisha says "our delivery team is at your house and they need someone to sign for the delivery in 15 minute or we will leave" WHAT?! Where is my call? I'm in Bothell-To Lake Stevens, hauling ass home to meet and they can't wait another 10 MINUTES! I show up and my neighbor says the delivery truck stayed for 5 minutes then left. I call the delivery company pissed off saying the whole situation and they say "Sorry we called but no answer and our team will not wait more than 15 minutes they are already out of the area to turn around. What a failure at customer service, after I rescheduled my afternoon to accommodate their failure to show up on time. Best Buy is just as much of a fault for NOT standing by their work, it's their 3rd party that is a cheap & clueless company on how to deliver products effectively. This is what happens when management on both providers ends are spineless to accept a mistake, and own up to being there for their clients. The Best Buy Manager at Everett (because outlet location is MIA Monday-Thursday) says we will have to wait until the weekend and we will see what we can do... Really? Just pay my plumber $400 for waiting for 2 hours and expect my issue to be resolved a week later? Management is a joke here, train them on being innovative to bringing effective solutions! They send you out an old refurbished (a.k.a. someones old broken rebuilt) phone, usually has something wrong with it. you do not get a new one, you inherit someone else's problems. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! Background: I had my own computer firm back in the 1980's. Our family owns 2 laptops, 4 desk top 64 bit computers (Intel I 7 dual core) all running Office 2007 PLUS a server (running on Microsoft Home Server). Yet, I use a computer consultant to keep me straight. I am a Best Buy Premium Member, yet purchase about 75% of my hardware through Newegg. Family members each have smartphones. Computing is more than just a hobby for me. INTRODUCTION: Best Buy is just another big box discount electronics store - but it has survived in Washington where Circuit City and CompUSA failed. While the Best Buy stores in various areas vary in size (the Lynnwood store is much larger), the product lines are basically the same from store to store. While for many customers, all Best Buy stores are essentially the same, I think the Everett Mall Store in one of the best stores around - they do a great job. They get a 4 star rating from me - way ahead of the former CompUSA and Circuit City stores and far better than SAMS club, Costco, Office MAX and Office Depot. PRODUCT: This store has an average stock of white goods (e.g., refrigerators, washers & dryers,) car radios, GPS gear, flat screen TV's computers, monitors, software, games, cell & Smartphone's, cameras, sound system, music and movie DVD's, etc. STAFF / SERVICE: The key to each of the Best Buy Stores is the personnel they hire - which usually differentiates one store from another. The effectiveness of the personnel depends on a combination of the store manager and line supervisors in place and their people & communication skills. I think this store's managers have done an excellent good job of carefully selecting and then retaining people who have hands-on gadget and electronics skills and enjoy being trained on a variety of hardware and software. I visit this store at least monthly -- to have their staff update me on the newest products. And they do. I have found that a majority of the staff at this store are competent, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and sincere AND I rate the stores service as excellent. And by comparison, this store seems to have a lower staff turnover than other stores -- certainly the competition. And, people at Best Buy are NOT paid on commission. read more
