The washer did not work correctly from the start so I contacted my salesperson who told me to contact service. The washer needs two different electrical components. I contacted the salesperson to explain the outcome and felt brushed off. Was not the service or quality of appliances I expected. Despite their competitive prices, I would go to Costco in the future as they stand behind the products they sell.

They are always super friendly and it's always easy if we need tech support for an item. You can call, go online or even in store for most anything, I do perfer in store the most. If there was any questions that one didn't know for sure they would go and make sure they had the right answer. No smoke blowing here just to get a sell. The employee talked me into buying a unique charging device for an additional $40. It worked great until the end of April when it literally "fell apart "! it's defective and can't be fixed. I returned it to the store with the original box asking for an exchange since it's obviously a manufactures defect. The employee told me "it's against their policy" to honor anything after 30 days! I HAD THE RECEIPT, the box and the item. He could see it waa defective and told me to contact the company! Just one more reason I will never set foot in that store again and caution everyone else to do the same! They deserve to go out of business! They had several that met our criteria in stock--though it turned out only one would fit. Our salesman, Kevin was very patient, and ultimately we said let's do it. For a some extra fee he was able to arrange next day service. The two installers who arrived today, William and Anthony were amazing. They measured carefully to ensure that the refrigerator would fit before they unboxed the refrigerator. They were gracious and efficient and even suggested a way we could solve a problem with a drawer really close to the refrigerator. This was not our first exprerience at Metropolitan Appliance, and it won't be the last. The professionalism of both the sales staff and the installers was outstanding.

For the appliances I was looking for, they were exactly the same price as the largest retailers were advertising. I can't speak to a comparison of their install prices, but the dishwasher delivery/install/haul-away cost was well worth it. The showroom in SoDo is clean, uncrowded, and staffed with knowledgeable people who are ready to help you. I worked with Kevin, who was not pushy at all, and generally was happy to just talk about what they had to offer in my price range. The big key for me is the service, especially after the purchase. I've had pretty poor experiences from the larger retailers who subcontract out the delivery/install. Metropolitan Appliance handles this portion of the experience only with in-house employees. This is a huge plus for me, especially if there are issues. And for someone who lives in an older home, there are ALWAYS issues. In my case, the range was perfect, but the dishwasher was not. What I ordered wouldn't quite work in my space. I was able to speak the technician about what the issue was, he noted his advice in their system, and I worked with Kevin to find something that would work given the new information. I also had to reschedule the second delivery the day before due to a change in my work schedule, and even though it was Kevin's day off, another employee answered the phone immediately and was able to give me alternative dates. Which were only a couple of days later, not a month out. Today I was able to get the dishwasher installed. The same team showed up. Ned and Jacob were great both times they worked in our home. They were polite and genuinely good people to talk to, and seemed to enjoy their work. They took me through what they were doing in the install at my request for some future changes I had planned. They also realized early on in the day that they were going to be a bit later than the delivery window I was originally provided with. Ned reached out immediately, kept me updated, and I was able to make use of that time instead of sitting at home waiting for no reason. Long story short, despite my moderate purchases here, I felt that my business was actually appreciated. The appliances didn't cost anything more than they would have elsewhere, and the install team was courteous and upbeat, even after a long day.

Jamie showed me around, gave me the run down and was very professional and courteous. The following day I brought my old fridge with me for disposal (a $55 value) when I went back to pick up my new (used) fridge. Nick even offered to deliver my new fridge if I had lived a bit closer but never the less he loaded into my pick up and even tied it down for me so I would be sure to get home safe. Not only did I get a new fridge and rid myself of the old, but I got a 90 day warranty. Standard because they are confident in there machines. This is a family owned and operated small business that has been around for a long time. Even though this was my first transaction with them I feel like I have known them years and I'm sure this won't be my last transaction at Mom's. I really don't feel like the negative reviews I just read reflect this business in least. If you need to replace a fridge, a washing machine, or a dryer, just stop in and take a look. They are very upfront and honest and all the machines are gone through and thoroughly tested. All the fridges are plugged in and running with thermometers inside. I will be back when the time comes to replace our main fridge and maybe our washer and dryer some day.

But I gotta give people a heads up about something. They do not have stringed lights that have blue, green, red, yellow, AND purple. If you are not aware, purple is a color that makes the rest of the colors look some much more vibrant. It complements them. I included videos and pictures showing just what i'm talking about. Home depot even carries a fake tree that comes with colorful lights that include purple attached. It is in a video I made, you can see the tree has blue,green, red, yellow, AND purple lights and looks more brilliant than the other trees that don't have purple. Or the trees with just white lights. The other decorations are spectacular! Bravo Home Depot. Plants as well! Prices? Not too bad. But now i'm off to Walmart to see if they have a string of lights that has all the colors including purple. I'll get the wall anchor there too. EDIT/UPDATE: Walmart had them, make sure to get LED not incandescent unless you want your electric bill to be higher.
