This Costco has the standard selection. We noticed that some items were priced lower than at other Costcos, and the sales tax rate here is relatively lower. Don't buy cloths here. I took a coat back that I had bought a year before. I did not return it. Asked a question about it, then I was told i'm not allowed to bring it back in the store and I have to put it in my car. I said i've been wearing this coat in this store for over a year. The woman behind the counter at customer service told me.I had to go put it back in my car and that I wasn't allowed to bring it into the store. I'm not allowed to wear the clothes that I bought there into the store. It was pouring rain outside. I took my coat and put it in my car and came back to the store. I doubt I should shop here at all. Being treated like a thief and having to walk back in the store with no coat on in the rain. That's mostly just messed up completely!!! The coat has a rip inside the arm. That's why I was bringing it back the question my options. Sweet mother of Costco. I saved my first 2023 review for Costco to show the love that I have for them. I've been to a lot of Costco and this is probably one of the best experiences I've been at--despite the fact that my opinion might be biased by the fact that I went on a Wednesday while everyone is work. This is a brand spanking new Costco and plenty of parking. Every products in the aisles is aligned and straightened out by employees. The aisles for some reasons seem a little bit more wider than a normal Costco. :-) I did not have to dodge or aligned my carts to let other pass. The meat portioned is spectacular! I can't tell you how many Costco I've been to and their meat portions can feed a whole village. It's tough when you're just trying to buy it for a family of four. Because it's fairly new, you won't see a lot of clearance goodies here but we spotted a good deal on the vinyl flooring. Such a steal. Almost made me rethink about redoing our flooring at home. Haha Too bad this is too far from my house. Each Costco sells certain products for certain demographics. Don't expect to find a lot of the SE Asian fare here, which is fine. I would totally recommend others to check out this place if you're in the area. read more

Our closest Costco is the Everett location but the Lake Stevens Costco has quickly become our new favorite! The entrances/exits from this location are so easy to get in and out of. There is a massive parking lot with a huge gas station at the back. In general it's just more spread out so it's easier to navigate with less traffic. We've never had an issue with food quality. Everything has been great whether it's meat, produce, or from the bakery. The ready to bake meal options are also made well and have saved us on busy nights. The employees are always very friendly and helpful if we have a question or can't find something. They have some different items from the other stores and consistently have the cheapest gas in the area. The shopping carts are completely under cover so when we get those sideways rain storms, the carts still stay dry. We're weekly Costco shoppers and will continue to go out of the way to this location. Keep it up! read more

What is the policy when you are inside of Costco at closing time? To my under let the customer shop if you have made it inside. Never had problems at other location but the lake Stevens location has rule and unprofessional employees who definitely needs more training. Very pissed off on how we were talked to. I really loved going to the Lake Stevens Costco, 15 minutes away, they have everything I need, traffic is light, the gas station is quick and the store is very relaxing, and then yesterday happened. My husband and 18 month old son went to Costco and an old lady tried to steal our cart with our son in it and when my husband stopped her, she ran off. When I called Costco to talk to the manager she replied that they didn't have footage in that area, but not to be alarmed, people accidentally grab other people's carts all the time. Excuse me what?!? My son sitting in the front of the basket making eye contact and smiling doesn't look like your dusty old purse. You aren't going to gas light me, nothing about that situation is normal. I filed a police report. You can deal with them. And to the store manager Stacy... there are a million things you could have said that would've been better than gaslighting me. Even a simple, that must have been scary, what was she wearing and what did she look like so we can check other cameras. You have zero EQ, I have no idea how you are in charge of people. I will not be back to your store and your scary denial of reality is dangerous for your customers. read more

WOW.......First time going into a Costco. Got a membership to save money and get some bulk items to put away for emergency's and after looking around I ended up with a cart full for the week. Plus I still had to hit a regular grocery store for the little things. Not saying it's bad just a pricey trip that I will now have to keep doing every week I love those dark chocolate sea salt caramels. Great shopping experience. Nice people working there too. Costco Wholesale - My new little weekly trip - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Lake Stevens, Washington

It seems that the Lake Stevens Costco has recently decided all of it's members are potential crooks. That's the only explanation for the new policies of: (1) making you show ID if your Costco card doesn't have your picture on it (mine doesn't and guess what - this Costco can't print you another card on site); (2) no longer allowing you to go in through the exit door if you're just going to the pharmacy - you now have to go around through the member entrance and truck through the store to get to prescriptions. I can almost understand #1, as there are probably instances of people using someone else's card. However, why is this now suddenly a problem when they've been hugely successful for decades without assuming everyone is a potential thief? #2 is simply offensive because YOU DON'T EVEN HAVE TO BE A COSTCO MEMBER TO USE THE PHARMACY! So why make you go through the members entrance? When I asked an employee about this, I was told it was for the customer count. Really? Every transaction records the member number, so that customer is counted, and every pharmacy transaction that doesn't have a member number counts that as a non-member customer. The "customer count" explanation is clearly false and the actual reason is, in my opinion, that they now consider everyone coming in to be a potential crook. Worse yet, when I tried to today to walk in the entrance, as I always do to get a prescription, (and I even had my member card out), I was rudely stopped and here is how I was questioned "Where are you going?" I showed my Costco card, thinking that's why I was stopped, but no, I was told - not asked, but told - that I had to go out and around to the members entrance. Bear in mind that when I was stopped it wasn't with something like "May I ask where you're headed to", which would have been the polite way to greet me. Nope, it was with a "Where are you going?", accompanied by a glare. When I asked when that policy started I was told "Two weeks ago". No apology and she simply then turned to the next member who was exiting. I've been a Costco member for over 35 years and an executive member for 25 years. Costco has always treated it's members with respect...until now. I realize this is probably a boneheaded corporate decision, not one made just by the Lake Stevens Costco, but they could at least implement it with politeness and respect. At our next membership renewal, we will probably give up our executive membership and just go with the basic membership, as a result of Costco's new found disdain for their members. read more

Today 11/11 I purchased an Apple pie in your bakery it looked good but when my spouse and I had a piece this evening we were really disappointed!:( Where the apple filling used to have fresh apple slices that had the right amount of sweetness and spice it now is like a stewed over spiced apple mush. Guess that's to cover the inferior filling. I would rather pay a few dollars more and get a quality product. I see no one from a bakery manager, store manager, district manager or corporate quality manager ever comments back to anyone. Guess Costco doesn't care. I really, reeeeeally want to love my new local Costco. Let's start with the positives: *I can always find parking *It's never insanely busy And now the negatives: *I am so tired of heading for their food court, holding my Costco card at eye level, visible to anyone and everyone, and being treated like I'm trying to pull one over on Costco. Yes, I have a Costco card. It's the one literally in front of your face. *I have stopped using their self check out because everyone that uses self check is a criminal, apparently. I have been harassed at the exit because they can't count correctly and they think I'm stealing. *Speaking of stealing- I was detained at the exit one evening because the person at the exit insisted that the salad I bought at the food court should've been on the receipt for everything I bought in the store. She was treating me as if I'd tried to steal the Declaration of Independence in National Treasure. She couldn't tell the difference between the salad from the food court and the salad in the store- and the difference is painfully obvious. *It's 50/50 if their condiment dispenser will actually have anything in it. Letting them know at the counter that it's empty ruins their day. TL;DR- their customer service is bad. On a scale of one to 10, I give it a genuine three at best. They have some great employees, but in one way or another, I'm treated like a criminal nearly every time I'm in here. I miss the Smokey Point Costco. They're outstanding in every way. read more

Tire Service Dept. Personnel are very helpful and provide great service. I recently had a slow tire leak, they determined the issue, assisted in locating the lug nut lock, which I wasn't aware I had, and were able to seal the leaks. read more

I love shopping at Costco because of all of the savings and buying stuff in bulk. This Costco is very clean and nice and clean. The food court is especially clean and the workers are extremely fast. I arrived at Costco 10-15 min before they closed. I was doing a large shop and deliver order for Instacart and it was worth quite a bit of money I had a couple of extra hands with me grabbing stuff so we were going to be in and out in 20 ish min leaving MAX 20 min after the closed time. Myself and about 50 other people still in the store. I dont usually shop at Costco myself so I was struggling in produce. There were 5-6 other workers around who watched me struggle and then at 6:05 pm I was approached and told the store had closed I was panicking and asked them for help THEY WERE SO RUDE AND DISMISSIVE. I was ignored and told they didn't know if they had the last 2 items I needed then I was approached by a store manager I am assuming and told I need to "wrap it up and get going". I literally do this for a living you would think after I explained that that there would be some compassion shown so I could grab the items and LEAVE. But no not at all. I was forced to abandon my cart and call Instacart and cancel the order losing out on quite a bit of money. I have never been treated this poorly at any other Costco in my life. I will never ever take another order from this location. read more

I was at Costco today and got help from one of the employee helpers. He loaded my car with care. It was too heavy for me. He was of India descent and his name was (I know this spelling is wrong) Nagirna . He took great care to make sure it was all safely packed and was very courteous. This is simply the best Costco in the state of Washington. First of all, there's always parking, even on weekends. Not only that, the parking spaces are also very spacious! Everyone is always very nice and helpful. I would highly recommend going to this Costco versus the one in Everett. read more

I shop at Costco a ton, it is a good place to warehouse shop for bulk-sized groceries and clothing. I have also had good experiences with their grocery delivery through Instacart. Their quality and value in these areas are good. (not so much service and selection, which Yelp is auto-highlighting here). They could do better at offering vegetarian dinner items. I can usually get whatever you would want for a meat-based dinner but vegetarian offerings are limited and a lot of times not offered consistently. I do not give it more stars because there are real problems with custom ordering online from them, especially ordering something like blinds. Also i would not recommend ordering something that would have to be installed as well as delivered (such as a built-in appliance). In these cases, Costco is attempting to use contractors to fulfill an order, and their customer service in these areas is fragmented and ineffective. We have experienced faulty installs and products that were never delivered. Very frustrating! Stick with shopping in person or simple deliveries, no custom orders or installations. read more

This Costco location operates a little different than the others. Most of the people there are friendly and helpful. A few workers are difficult to talk to and it good be for two reasons. One reason being that the other locations have adapted their customer service and adjusted the corporate rules to better serve all three parties. Those three being corporate, customer and themselves. The other reason I think is a lack of training for some individuals. Unfortunately it's mostly the people who are in supervision roles that need better customer interaction skills. I realize this store is fairly new and will most likely get better. That will happen more smoothly when the "supervisors" take a step back and not only provide better customer service themselves but do the necessary training to the few employees who need it. read more

This Costco allowed a poorly vetted vendor in, AT&T mobile phone service. I was shopping and a vendor salesperson hooked me into listening to a "VIP Costco deal" I was convinced to leave Verizon, assured of a low rate and easy switch. Well... not so. I have spent about 19 hours now and my bill will triple. The new phones need all new accessories (told they did not) and one is so big it will not work with out brand new Toyota Tundra! Hiw dies an iPhone Not work with a new vehicle? Thus should be something that the vendor is aware of. The phones would not activate. After trying it took 2 hours at a phone store and call after call to advanced tech support. I deeply regret this choice. SHAME on this Costco fir inviting in substandard vendors. Costco members TRUST vendors have been vetted. I've wasted hours, it's cost us FAR more than originally discussed in store and the entire process is more frustrating and complex than buying a car. I love having a costco so close its been great until recently when they began coming at people to check memberships. My wife had a guy today get so pissy with here because her mobile app doesn't have her picture which by the way is Costco's freaking fault. Last weekend I got the pleasure of seeing a Costco worker go hard at a lady holding a baby while pushing a cart he couldn't give her 2 mins. They are all so extreme with this and is disgusting. I was so happy, when this Costco opened just 10 minutes away from me. And I love their huge parking lots and always able to find parking near the door. But, after some time, I noticed how some of the people visiting this store are bullies, trying to run you down with their cart if you are not quick enough to get out of their way. And even little kids are bullies. One time I used the handicap parking as I have a permit, what most of the time I don't use. But on that day, as I am trying to lift my heavy items into my car, a kid about 10 walking by is yelling: that park ing is for handicap people and you are not!". I was truly shocked, as his mother just smiled and kept walking. If that mother is reading this, shame on you raising your kid to be a foul mouthed bully. You should teach him, not all disabled people's disability is visible. Some of us look completely normal and healthy, but we shouldn't have to try to explain this to anyone. So except for the sometimes rough crowd visiting this store it's not too bad. But their employees are also kind of stand out from other Costco's employees for their unfriendliness and not being helpful. read more

This is an AWESOME costco. I live 30 miles away, but my local Costco could not get me in to change my tires for 2.5 weeks but they said try the new Costco. Well I was able to make an appointment for the same day! But sadly after I made the trip, we found out that my wheel lock was missing . Well the tires department bent over backwards trying to help me out. Shout out to Joe and Christopher! While I was there, I just had to check out this new shiny Costco. So nicely laid out. So organized. The workers are friendly. Tons of samples. No line at Customer Service Center. No line for the gas. I don't write many reviews, but I had to take the time since I could not understand why it had a 2.5 star review. Hope this bumps it up. Keep up the good work! read more

My wife and I have been looking for an opportunity to try this new CostCo since it's much closer to use than others we were currently shopping at. We really enjoyed the store. It's spacious and well stocked and even included several larger bulk items we usually don't find anywhere but CostCo Business Centers. Unfortunately, our enjoyable shopping trip came to an abrupt halt when we found ourselves being checked out by a cashier named Latonya. This was one of the most inconsiderate and rudest cashiers I've ever had to deal with. Not only was she rude and obnoxious to us, she had an equally bad attitude to her fellow employees as well. We were amazed that CostCo would have even hired someone like Latonya. We'll continue to shop at this location but we will NEVER get in her checkout line ever again. read more

I called to speak with someone about an unknown charge on my account and I feel like I was being called a liar because even after they researched and discovered the transaction wasn't mine but the customer's behind me. I was asked to coming to show the charge on my bank account, insinuating that she wasn't going to approve the dispute unless she saw proof, and I explained I don't reside in the area, so it would be an inconvenience for me to come there. I explained several times (to Katie as well) that I had already called my bank to dispute the charge and canceled my card, even before discovering it was the customer's behind me transaction. Costco keeps track of all of transactions, how else would I have known the customer's behind me exact total. Turns out, my daughter thought she was paying for our purchase (which I had already paid) but was actually paying for the customer behind us instead. Please stop judging. read more

A few days ago, I went to this costco for the first time despite living in the area. Yet, I had a bad experience first time up. An employee gave me a racism vibe because he noticed I was going around in the same area looking for an item. I've seen him come up to every person he passed by asking, "Do you need help?" but skipped me when we passed by each other. I saw his name tag but I won't throw the guy under the bus. This Costco is just like any other Costco, except in the bakery department. I'm hoping the issue will be worked out soon since they just opened, but the baked goods aren't the same quality as the other Costcos I've purchased from. They look and taste like someone who's never baked before had made them. The muffins are dry, over baked, and deformed. The chocolate ones we just got also have this weird fishy taste.
