I went in looking for for speaker wire, several employee were milling about and talking to one another but didn't come up and greet me even though i was doing my best to look pretty lost, so i had to approach one and ask for help. he acted like i was an idiot for not know the name of the wire and was rude and abrasive. i check out their prices and then check amazon and find the same wire at the same length for 1/2 the price with free prime shipping. They have many choices of products in many price points to meet anyones budget. The staff is friendly and addresses questions quickly as long as the store isn't busy with customers. If they are busy it is a little tough to find help. I have bought many things from Best Buy laptops, desk top computer, cameras & accessories, TVs and cell phones some products had issues but Best Buy was great at taking back my returns for technical issues of the product as long as it is within the return policy on the receipt I had no issues. If holiday shopping don't shop during peak shopping times, people are rude, store gets messy, sale associates are short staffed and too busy to be real helpful go mid afternoon during a weekday and you will get better service most of the time. read more

About three years ago I purchased a Samsung pad at the Bend Best Buy. Yesterday it stopped working so I needed to purchase a new pad. Begrudgingly I decided to go to Best Buy after researching options on line. In the past I have not had a good customer service experience at Best Buy in Bend. The folks that waited on me seemed hurried, uninterested, and, in a manner, condescending. This time I had the pleasure of being waited on by Haley, and then Trevor. Both were extremely helpful, friendly, and took the time needed to get me squared away with a new iPad. In addition, Trevor reviewed my Verizon plan and got the monthly fee reduced. Several years ago I thought this store was great, particularly customer service. As of the past few years, I have been driven to the point that the ONLY reason I even go in is because I bought things years ago and still have Geek Squad service. The majority of customer service reps are lazy, unfriendly and have attitudes. Their return policy stinks and trying to reach anyone on the phone through their labyrinth of a system is nearly impossible. I just hate this place now. read more

I usually shy away from the big box stores in favor of the local guys. But my seach for a specific hard drive hit a dead end, so I reluctantly went to Best Buy. I was surprised to learn that the friendly, informed staff did not work on commission, and were therefore not overly eager to upsale me and push me out the door. The selection wasn't overwhelmingly vast,but I found what I needed at a fair price. I think I'd return in the future for any big ticket items. read more

Best Buy does not honor their posted price on the self if they made a mistake. I saw they had a 3 handset phone for $39.99, the item number on the shelf matched the item number on the box. Got to the cashier its $99.99. I said you should honor your listed price but they said it was a error and they have had problems recently with the label person. So no purchase was made. One the way the greeter asked "did you find what you were looking for?' I replied yes but you didn't honor your shelf price and I'm heading to Costco. Then he replied we'll match their price. REALLY, why would I come back for the same price. BTW Costco had a great phone system for $49.99. Bought it!!! read more

Have pre-purchased the Geek Squad service for all my computer equipment. Went in with my lap top hp that I purchased there for them to see if it needed updates or cleaning and just to leave for the service. The geek told me that I have to make an appointment to drop my computer off for this service. That this is a new rule they've made up. There was no one there waiting for service but this guy refused to take my computer saying that I had to have an appointment to do that even though I'm standing right there and there was no one else waiting to be helped. Would not recommend paying for their service and then they make it difficult to access that service my making up new "rules" about their service. Nonsensical! read more

Customer service is blah. I waited and waited and waited to get my online purchases because the first girl "couldn't find" the second tablet. Then....the security guy about jumped in front of me on my way out "because he wanted to see my receipt". Seriously?? Oh and the tablet they couldn't find... the "Digiland" brand one, would not load up. It was supposed to be my son's big Christmas present. So I ended up giving him my brand new one instead. I will be returning this item only because I bought it at Best Buy. Otherwise, I would not be setting foot into this store again. Selection is only so-so as it is, and coupled with the customer service and extremely over-enthusiastic security guard at the door, makes this place unbearable. I have had better luck at this Best Buy than the one near my 2nd home in the valley. The Bend Best Buy is great. I was waited on, bought an Apple Computer (IMAC 27"), a printer, and inks, plus a ream of paper. The salesman was thorough and fast, which was perfect. He was very knowledgeable about the computer I was interested in, and was able to answer all of my questions. I arrived at 8:00 pm, and was in and out before they closed, and even had help loading it into my truck. THANK YOU! This is my 2nd Apple computer bought from this store. The first one was in 2011, and that computer . has never had a virus, nor has it EVER given my a problem. I just wish I could have gotten updates on it. That is the only reason I had to replace it. The APPLE IMAC computer is the best! I was surprised that there was no slot for a CD/DVD, but i was able to get it set up without using a disk of any kind. I also purchased Microsoft Office, which doesn't come with it. Overall, I am very happy with the performance of my computer and of the fact that I was able to get it so quickly. read more

Returned a Hisense TV (it had volume issues) that I recently purchased for $229.99 and rather than just exchange it for same TV (for fear it would have same issues) decided I would purchase a better known brand TV that Best Buy listed at $299.99. Asked them to do a price match for the same TV Costco was going to be offering in a week for $249.99. Can't believe that they would not price match because the Costco price was not available for another week. Instead they would rather refund my monies on the faulty TV and lose the sale of a higher priced replacement TV. You can bet I'll be making my purchase from Costco in a week rather than go back to Best Buy. read more

The Bend Best Buy is the very best. I recently purchased HP lap top computer, portable printer, accessories, warranties, etc. Very please with everything. The Geek Squad Anthony and Benjamin came out on one trip to work on installation for me. They'll come back out again to finish up the job. Downloading from one computer to another takes a lot of time sometimes and Benjamin worked on it in the store to speed up the process for me. I sure appreciate all their help and will not hesitate to purchase many more things at Best Buy the store staff is also great too. Ryan and Travis were both so helpful. read more

Actually I would like this to be a negative 10 rating. Best Buy in Bend Oregon does not stand behind what they sell or install. Never let them install stereo equipment in your vehicle. My daughter had to go through the Alpine company herself to get satisfaction. Alpine was amazing with her (unlike Best Buy) and are sending her new equipment (which Best Buy should have replaced this considering it was less than 7 months old with a 1 year manufacturer warranty, which Best Buy said it had a 15 day warranty? seriously. Alpine said it was probably wired wrong by the installer (Best Buy). Alpine cares about their product and wants the customer to be happy (unlike Best Buy). One of Best Buys employees was very rude and disrespectful, didn't care about the problem she was having with her sub woofer, until she asked for her name to make a complaint. My daughter called corporate Best Buy as Alpine recommended, and apparently they really don't stand behind what they sell or install. Please take your installations to a reputable stereo installation company as Best Buy is not the place. read more

I was told that my product would arrive in less than 5 days, with no uncertainty... at the end of a snow week. I asked the likelyhood of delay. With absolute confidence the product the elctronics salesman said it was certain. 5 days later I received a text message that product would be arriving late. After being on hold for 20 minutes I found out product would not in 5 more days. The lady I spoke with was absolutely non-appologetic and implied I should not have expectations that products would arrive on time considering variables such as weather. I mentioned the confidence of the salesman. She dismissed it as truly being an unrealistic expectation on my part. read more

As far as home electronic stores go I would defiantly go somewhere else. I found that the floor staff knew little to nothing about the product I was trying to buy, and they continuously tried to get me to buy the better more expensive product with little to no benefit to me, the customer. So, I wanted to purchase a 65 inch TV from Best Buy. I was going to purchase it from them before but they were out of stock. I called today to see if they had them in stock and they do. My credit card company gave me a no interest promotion on all of my purchases for 14 months but I can't use the promotion until after midnight eastern time today (February 4th, 2016). Well I called Best Buy this morning after I spoke with my credit card company and asked if they could hold one of the TV's for me until tomorrow - absolutely not! Even if I made a deposit on it. The sales rep did say that they had a lot in stock and I should call back later today @ 6:00 PM to see what the stock status was and if they might be able to do something for me. I just got off the phone with Best Buy and their response about holding a TV was essentially "Hell no". So I asked "how many do you have in stock" and their response is "we can't give out that information over the phone"/ Really. So the number of TV's that Best Buy has in stock is apparently a national secret. What a load of crap. For a company that's been struggling to make it in the new online economy, they sure don't seem to be very consumer oriented, which is probably why they are struggling! read more

I shop at this Best Buy all the time. Usually, the employees are helpful and friendly. Today, no one was interested in helping me. The man at the door did not even look at me when I walked in, let alone greet me, because he was too busy talking to another employee about the Seahawks game. I wandered around for almost 15 minutes trying to find two specifics items. I walked past a couple employees that were not helping anyone and they never said hello or offered to help me with anything. I finally tried to go up to a couple different employees and stood right next to them, waiting for them to finish the conversation they were having with their coworker and they completely ignored me. I then went over to the desk where you would normally pick up orders, because both girls behind the counter were just chatting with each other, and asked if one of them would please help me. The girl that did help me just seemed annoyed. One of the items I wanted was in stock, the other was not. I went to purchase the one item and the cashier was very rude. When I left with my purchase, the man at the door was now standing there alone, and he still ignored me as I left the store. read more

So excited to use it to purchase a new tablet...until I purchased the Samsung Tablet the extremely fine print said "Not valid on Galaxy tablets". Went to purchase a new flat screen. Worked with salesman and received great information on Samsung flat screens. Was ready to purchase after discussing differences in models... even quotes prices and considered biting an open box special and was told the manager was willing to give better deals on these units. I picked out an 8000 series, filled out credit so, and then watched the price of the tv I picked out increase almost $200 as I was told it was priced incorrectly. The manager who was ready to deal was only complaining how the units were all ready under cost.... and the salesman I was working with was sent away and I was not treated as a respected customer or even greeted by any if the remaining staff..... In the past I have spent a good deal of money at Best Buy but this took away any excitement that I have had in the past going shopping for new equipment at BB..... and I do not expect that I will shop there again.... read more

Helped a friend to choose to buy a 55" Curved SUHD TV(9000 series) a curved sound bar , a blue-ray player, a ext HD with some 4K movies ( all Samsung) , 2 $100 Monster HDMI cables last week from Best Buy and he paid a tad over 3K. This compliant is not really about Best Buy since the sales person who helped us did his job efficiently and did his best to get my friend a good deal. Surprisingly, Samsung has gone cheap and only put 1 3D glass with the TV ( cost $19.00 ) that cost 2.5K. A few days later we saw an ad in which Samsung offered a 1 year free subscription to Netflix for the purchase of such Tvs but after my friend registered online with them, Samsung came back with a denial as the offer apparently started two days after he bought his system. I think that is really being cheap skate for a company like Samsung to skimp on the two items mentioned above. Too bad Best Buy didn't say anything about this. It's no biggie but Samsung would have won another loyal customer especfially when I recommend my friends on whose products to buy. read more

We were looking to get a new computer and stopped by Best Buy in Bend Oregon. The sales person Britney was very helpful in letting us know all the options for PC and MAC. Once we decided on which computer we wanted, she walked us through the entire process which made it very enjoyable. It was shipped UPS and got it in one day. Once we got it home, and set it up something was wrong. We worked with Apple help line for over one hour and still could not get the computer going. We returned it to the store and customer service was helping us when Britney came over to see what was wrong. After explaining what was going on, she took over to ensure that we got taking care of with minimal amount of issues. They gave us a new computer without any hassle and was apologizing for the inconvenience of having to come back. We were truly very happy with the service, price and how our sale person took care of us. We are very happy and will continue to shop at Best Buys in Bend. Thank you, Madras Oregon read more

I had to replace my Samsung Galaxy S7, which was stolen on the East Coast a few days earlier. I made an appointment with the Geek Squad to buy another and have it set up. I arrived early for my appointment on Christmas Eve, but was taken care of immediately. A new Geek Squad tech referred me to Kody, who spent an hour with me, successfully configuring a new phone to work with my AT&T service and former phone number. (The lost phone had been "blacklisted" so it could not be used by any carrier.) Kody was expert in the process and patiently explained all the forms I had to approve and submit electronically. Every step proceeded successfully. I had to buy a new Otter case to protect the new phone. Kody led me to the displays where I found exactly what I needed and saw it was even on sale! By establishing a new phone installment plan I was eligible for a $200 Best Buy gift card. Kody suggested I could use it to pay for the Otter case. It was a great idea. He wrote the remaining balance down for me on the gift card's holder. I could not have been more pleased with the whole process, and shared that feedback with him. So- Best Buy serves a niche of people too in-experienced to know better, or too lazy to check around on pricing and quality. I will now ONLY shop here for pure sake of convenience, knowing I am getting screwed and paying for poor service from minimum wage workers that get little to no training at all and barely seem at all present. Recently I went in with some needs for Computer parts and with a few questions. You CANNOT get anyone to help you in this story- if you finally do track down someone very rarely can they actually answer your question- and as was in the case this last time they didn't even try to find an answer for me- he just said I don't know and stared at me. I am fairly computer literate myself and cringe at some of the parts they have and the misleading information on such things at cables and components like video cards. For Computer needs head for DSI on Revere Ave. its a much better bet. This time had to go to Staples and get the part I was looking for that was better quality than the junk at Best Buy and cheaper. Sorry Best Buy- I wish you had a better commitment to service- then at least I could justify your pricing a little bit. read more
