They quoted us a price of $39.95 for a pair of readers "with vision insurance". We didn't think to ask how much it would be "without vision insurance". So it cost us $140, when we were expecting $40. Technically they told the truth ... this sort of sneakiness really upsets us. We'll be MUCH more careful IF we do business with them in the future. Caveat emptor. FYI, we own a business. read more

I got my eye exam at the Optometrist next door, then grabbed my prescription, picked out an adorable pair of glasses and walked out with a new pair for my eyes the next day. The staff are quick to help and are great at fittings. It might take a few times to get it right, but it takes just a few minutes for them to help you out. I picked a pair of pricier frames, but you can grab a trendy pair of frames starting as low as $29-39.00. Loved their selection, and felt comfortable trying on as many pairs as I wanted before I settled on my frames. For a first time eyeglass wearer, I think this was a great experience! read more

I called customer service after I wrote the review. They said I should go back and talk to Shirleen. She was awesome. Today I went back and they gave me new glasses. They gave me new frames and lenses at no cost to me. I was reluctant to return because I was so angry when I left the first time I tried to get them to honor the $29.95 protection package. Apparently they are serious about keeping their promises. I am happy. Still I gave them three stars because I had to spend time calling and returning to the store. read more

After paying this "dr" of optometry, I was unable to see with the prescription he prescribed. So I let him know that the prescription wasn't working AT ALL! He requested that I give him a 2 YEAR OLD prescription from my previous optometrist so he could plagiarizes the old one as his! However, the old prescription was still valid so I was able to get new eyewear from the OLD PRESCRIPTION! I requested a complete refund from him personally and through this review system though Eyemart Express. Neither wanted to fulfil my request. Eyemart is responsible for the optometrists that are under their umbrella! Fortunately I had paid him with my credit card and have been refunded the entire amount! read more

My visits to Eyemart express would be in comparison to your worst nightmare. Jay is incompetent and breath smells like dragon fire. They could not cut my lenses proper and they have no customer service. They( Jay ) pushes you in and out the door. The lab technician broke my personal frames and did not offer to repair, but instead offered a cheap frame I do not like. I have been a customer for more than 10 years and more than 10 pair of glasses. I returned the lenses they used to break the glasses and then they said they never made them. They're absolutely wrong. after I paid $60 to repair frames they broke they would not even make the lenses. They were supposed to have made progressives and mistakenly made a reader type lease that they claim they never made. Low Life's. Don't trust them or their workmanship. There are a lot safer and better choices in life than dealing with liars. read more

When my wife tried to get an appointment scheduled as Bend was ramping back up after COVID, she tried explaining that she was out of contacts and the glasses she wears gives her migraines, and is there any chance to be seen sooner than later? She was matter-of-factly told "it's illegal to sell you contacts on an expired prescription" (thanks Captain Obvious, that's why we're trying to get an appointment scheduled) and "call back in July (in a month) because our original patients are top priority." (yeah, we'll find someone that can squeeze her in, we're not going to deal with migraines for a month, but thanks anyway) That alone is enough for me, but they got my prescription wrong when I went there, so we'll just go somewhere else. (and I've never heard my wife call someone an "ass," LOL so it must have been a pretty bad experience, even though I think that's a pretty funny takeaway..) *Edit: Customer service commented for me to reach out to them below, but at this point, the damage is done. As easy as it is to update your prescription online (which we did yesterday in just a few minutes) for a fraction of the cost, I don't really think there's any redemption here. read more

Traveling from out of town stoped in because my husband's glasses were messed up and they fixed them and gave us a good deal on new ones

I got an exam almost a year ago on the recommendation of a local sports sunglass outfit. Was pleasantly surprised to find my vision had actually improved a bit over the years. I came back here to have a pair of frames I liked filled with the new prescription after testing out my new script sunglasses for a spell. Imagine my surprise when I found that thanks to a coupon, I could get a newer, more contemporary frame, for slightly more than having my old ones filled. Many thanks to Mary who helped me through the process and assisted me in picking out my new cooler frames. I waited until I got my new glasses in and tested before I wrote my review as I got progressives for the first time. I liked them instantly.Thank you again Mary I will return. read more

I was in town for a conference and was flying out for a vacation. The last morning I was in Bend I broke my frames. I went to Eyemart to see if they could fix them so I could see. Well the frames couldn't be fixed and of course my Rx has expired. Parker searched through frames that my lenses would fit into. He went above and beyond to find something for me. He was so patient when getting them adjusted as well. Parker is amazing and this Eyemart store should feel so lucky to have him. Doctor there was great. Fast service and people were very friendly. I would buy my glasses else where though. Customer service at this place is sub par. My husband bought a $300 pair of glasses there and had the transitions put on. After having them two weeks went back in to ask questions about it and how it worked. The lady, Nicole, didn't know any answers and just got frustrated with us. When my husband asked to see paperbark on the transitions (since she couldn't answer the questions) she gets all huffy and proceeds to roll her eyes and sigh loudly as she walks away! A few minute later a technician came out and explained how the transitions work and answered all our questions and was very nice. He also stated Nicole was new but still NO excuse for her rude behavior! I will be getting my glasses elsewhere where I will get friendly faces because Nicole ruined going here for me. Most insurances do not subscribe to this vendor, regardless of what they say. You pay up front and submitt billing to insurance for reimbursement after they tell you your covered. I ended up paying the same with no savings and don't bother about getting scratch coating it doesn't work and they won't back their product. read more

Not only did they have a great sale going on, but the employees were helpful and not pushy, AND they had my glasses ready within 20 minutes of picking out the frames! Warning, only go there for standard stuff and don't expect them to listen if you want something custom! I've had several pair of simple, cheap glasses done at Eyemart and really like all of them. Until this pair. My husband just got a pair of "computer progressives" from our optometrist (not at Eyemart) with a large mid range and very small reading and distance panels. He really likes them. So I went to Eyemart and told them I want the same thing and they seemed to understand. Got the glasses and they are NOTHING like what I asked for. They are basically their standard, cookie cutter progressives with a very small mid range that are very difficult to use on the computer. I took them back today and had to talk to 2 different people before I could even get my point across. Finally got the manager who told me that they can't change the size of the sections with their technology, but said they would substitute them for "something else" if I want. But they were not willing to un-bill my insurance company so I could get what I really want elsewhere. She did tip the glasses so I can see my laptop better through the mid range, but it's nothing like what I wanted and now I'm stuck with basically a duplicate of what I already have.
