Ok, people. This is supposed to be a quick, old school burger spot, not a gormet place. The kid at the counter was pretty bad, he mumbled, didn't speak up and seemed annoyed that we finally said "can you speak up? We can't hear you." So, remember, customer service is important. The burger was messy and delicious, just like a burger should be. The waffle and handcut fries were both cooked and seasoned great. The staff is nice. Horribly burnt fries, overpriced/under-quality shakes, and a good (not best) burger. Craving a tasty burger, my wife and I thought that someplace called "Best Burger" would be at least worth trying... WRONG!!! Fries- I used the drive thru at this overrated business today for an early dinner. As I pulled out of their parking lot I reached into the bag excited for a couple fries only to realized that they were scorched beyond recognition, not edible. How could somebody knowingly serve that garbage? They saw how bad they were and chose to serve them to us anyways, $3.00 for fries and I couldn't even get my dog to eat them. SAD Milkshake- a large shake costs $3.00 (reg.) & $3.50 (huckleberry). For this premium price you only get about 12 ounces, and the huckleberry seemed like it was huckleberry syrup, severely diluted in a vanilla shake (can barely taste any berry flavor). DISAPPOINTED Burger- thankfully the burger was not bad, definitely not the "Best Burger" as advertised, but not bad. (It's pretty hard to screw up a double bacon cheeseburger) The burger is the ONLY reason I gave more than 1 star. But for the price, the patties were pretty small. $22 seems like a lot of money for 2 severely disappointing meals. Not planning to return. read more

Stopped by Best Burger on our way up to Big Sky, what a treat! The portions are good, the food very fresh and the service prompt and friendly. We went through the drive through and had to pull up the window to order because she said she couldn't hear us on their intercom system. That made it a little difficult to order without a menu in front of us, but she was great about answering our questions. For two burgers, a large fry and a huckleberry shake our total was around $12, I expected it to be more! The food was great and service was quick. We'll be back for sure! The very last time I was there I went through the drive thru and was treated like I went up to some random strangers window, knocked aggressively on their window, and then demanded that they make some food!!! I was really looking forward to my hamburger! They were very stingy with the large fries l ordered for $3.50. The plain quarter pounder is $4.50 and every thing is an "add on" the mushrooms were canned and terrible. They charge 2.85% extra on all orders if you don't pay cash. Over priced and nothing "special" about this place. They use CHEAP ice cream in the huckleberry shake which is $3 for a small cup. To some, this really is the best burger in town. This is a classic burger, made in the style of a 1950's drive-in. I give them credit for sticking to their family heritage, using consistent ingredients, and focusing on doing a few things well. Their care and love of food is apparent in the fresh cut fries and hand-spun milk shakes. They do a great job bringing back the meal that many of us knew in our youth as a special night out. While well executed, I can't accept this style as the pinnacle of burger gastronomy. I find the griddle burger sits heavy in my stomach. The hand spun milk shakes use soft-serve ice cream and syrup (not fruit). I will say that the authentic fries are a true standout. The prices are reasonable and the staff is great. Do stop by of you are looking for a throwback to a simpler time before flame-broilers and garlic infused fries. You might find this to be the best burger. I was told by my friends that this place had a good burger, I was disappointed. I showed up about 3:30 pm and waited at the counter while 2 guys making hamburger patties ignored me for 15 minutes. They were crazy when they first opened, so I had to go back for a try. I wouldn't say they are the best burger in town, but it is the best I have found in 4-corners. In true mom-n-pop style I think they will come of age if they just give it time. What I would like to see is larger, less cooked patties, and less bready bun. I really wanted to like this place. But I didn't. The buns are cheap Walmart buns that taste sort of stale after the way they toast them. The fries are good, but they're just frozen Sysco fries that you could get anywhere. My burger was not that great - sort of dry and bland. The staff was fine, but the atmosphere is a little cramped and you end up listening to your neighbor's conversation. Heap Burger?! To be fair, you can't compare. Best Burger is a drive thru. It's not meant to be a gourmet burger. I can't help but feel like some reviewers are working for HB. Best Burger is clean. The staff is friendly. The milkshakes are hand spun and the fresh cut fries are delicious. I've been to Best Burger 3 times since they opened and it gets better and better. I ordered a single burger with American cheese each time. Be sure to let them know if you'd like lettuce, tomato and onion, as the burgers come with ketchup, mustard, pickles. Yuck! Yuck! Yuck!! Definitely don't go to this place 10 minutes before closing... we went through the drive thru--- saw some guy with long hair smoking in the back... oh and then pull up and order -- pull up and pay and he's making my food... just weird to have to see the cook smoking and then cooking. The food was absolutely awful. Asked for the toppings on the side--- nothing on the side and the lettuce was brown and slimy. The fries were so under cooked that they were just oily pieces of potato. Also ordered a large milkshake-- they bring out the shake and its a small (very small)-- I tell her I ordered a large- she goes back in and brings me back the same amount of shake just dumped into a large cup... (the cup was only half full). The buns I agree are absolutely disgusting.. the top bun on the chicken sandwich was hard as a rock. I don't know what staff I got tonight compared to the other reviews of excellent service but the service was terrible and frankly we threw all the food away bc it was clear the staff was so disgruntled by our late arrival-- I didn't trust the food. Whomever named this joint needs their butt whipped- best burger is the worst burger I have ever had and I am 66 yrs old. The chocolate shake I ordered was warm chocolate slime/ I took it back to them and they poured me a new one and it was the same. It was not even cold and I did it drink it! Burgers were overlooked and fries were old. I so wanted to find a good burger joint but this one is not it! If they plan on staying in business I would encourage a name change. Decent burgers at a fair price. I'd take this over fast food, but I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here (I live in town.)

Did the drive thru. Pretty decent cheese burger and fries. Cost: $7. The burger is a little on the small side, but it tastes freshly charcoal-broiled, not steamed like the chains. However, the cold supermarket-type bun sucks. They should either toast it or serve buns from one of the better bakeries in town. Then this burger would be worth it. Maybe I just got lucky with the fries, but they were fried perfectly. Don't forget to ask for salt and ketchup for the fries because none were included in my order and I didn't realize it until I was well down the road. Fries were pretty good, but maybe a touch under seasoned. Staff is very cheerful. I might stop again for the fries (with ketchup), because they are worth $2.55, but I probably wouldn't get a burger again unless they fix the bun situation. Bozeman has too many other good, quick food options to settle and the burger is just not worth $4 (+.50 for cheese). read more

WOW!! THE ONLY burger I want to have now when in town! No more Five Guys or U Burger or elsewhere! This burger is great because - it is moist, has flavor, (unlike some other places), not too thick/nice size patty, soft fresh-like bun, lovely toppings, delicious 'secret sauce' (used mainly for the fries), and they serve it in a cardboard/paper basket, not mushed or humid in wrapper/paper like other places serve.
