I was excited to use Bernard Movers for our local move. We were scheduled for an 8 am move on a Saturday. We received a message on Friday that the move needed to be pushed back a few hours. Okay, a bit inconvenient, but we could deal. The movers contacted us and said they needed to move it back to 5 pm....then we were told they would be another couple of hours. Finally, the move was pushed back to the next day!!! We have a 2 year old son and our entire house was already boxed up. This was unprofessional and a poor job on the schedulers part. The movers were able to get the move done quickly on Sunday and we do not fault them at all. Next time schedule your moves based on the amount of stuff people have. That way a job that takes 9 hours isn't scheduled in a four hour block. read more

No way we could have pulled this move off without Bernard Movers! We collected one apartment in Hyde Park, one apartment in the West Loop, and took it all out to Darien. In a huge storm, and in 90 degree temps and humidity. Ramiro, Joe and David showed up happy, enthusiastic, and so friendly. Ramiro was very good about explaining the process, the pricing, giving an estimate. The guys padded and protected all our items just the same as if we were moving rare artifacts. And they were so FAST! There were even some large expensive items that we were really nervous about, but once we watched the guys in action, they did great! Once at the house, unloading, everyone was very careful about walls, doorways, floors. They re-assembled things in record time. They got all things in the right rooms too. The move took a couple hours longer than we originally estimated, due to weather, and the amount of stuff that we had. But it was NOT due to slacking. The guys worked HARD and fast and efficient. This review is long overdue. I'm looking for movers again but Bernard will definitely not be my choice! Used them back in October and again in November. FIrst time, I just needed to be out of my condo and fast. I was recommended to use them so I thought, what the hell? They were quick to schedule- so far so good. The guys arrived on time and even called me when they were on their way. Still good. When it came to wrapping everything up and getting it loaded, the problems began. They dragged several items out. I was upset they weren't carrying things. Good thing I don't live there anymore, you should see the way they left the floors!!! For the most part the packing part wasn't a problem. I was going to set the items in storage for a month and then have them delivered again to my next place. 2 of the 3 guys did most of the work. At the end, I was helping to wrap and pack to speed up the process. So off my items went into storage. I got resettled and called to have my stuff delivered. Again, no problem with scheduling. The guys called again to advise they were on their way. The main guy was the same as the one who picked everything up at place #1 so he was familiar with me. The first item to come thru my apartment door....BAM! Right on the floor. The guys just looked at each other with that "oh crap" type of look. Big dent on my brand new buffet. Second item was my brand new tempur-pedic mattress. The minute it came in, I was furious! When it left apartment 1, it was wrapped, now it wasn't so it was all dirty and scummy. I got some crap excuse that they had to take the wrapping off and it "must have gotten dirty while in storage". I just wanted them to bring my crap in and leave! I had to tell them about 3 times not to drag my stuff All in all, about 5 items were damaged. My glass in my dining room table, my other white couch, a headboard, the buffet, and the mattress. I hired Bernard Movers for a 1BR apartment move from Chicago to Boston in June (peak season). Research: About two months before moving, I contacted the Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association (IMAWA), and they recommended several local moving companies, including Bernard. From that list and from my own research, I contacted several moving companies that offered both consolidated moves (where they put your stuff on a truck with other customers' items and make one big drive where they drop your stuff off and then go on to another drop-off, etc.), which are less expensive, and direct moves (where they put your stuff on its own truck and drive it directly). Direct moves are fast, expensive, and generally more reliable, but consolidated moves are slower, less expensive, but with some risk that stuff will get lost. Another issue is that I lived in a condo building in Chicago that had a service elevator that required a reservation fee and a specific move-out time. I needed the moving company to guarantee pickup at a specific time on a specific day, and not all moving companies will do that. Delivery for me was flexible, so that made a consolidated move more attractive. Initial impressions / hiring: I called Bernard Movers, and the call was immediately answered by Lynn Bernard, the namesake of the business. She set up an appointment for Krystian, the long-distance move manager at Bernard, to come to my apartment for an in-home, binding estimate. Krystian arrived on time for his appointment, and was friendly, down-to-earth, and courteous. Even though nothing was packed and a number of boxes were in storage / transit to my apartment and could not be counted accurately, Krystian assured me that he had a good eye for estimation and that the estimate would be binding. Before he even left the apartment, Krystian filled out a binding estimate for me that came out to ~$3000 for consolidated and ~$4000 for direct. Since I still had a few other moving companies coming for in-home estimates, I wasn't ready to sign it, but after finishing my research, I decided on Bernard. I called Krystian to confirm the move, and decided to go with the consolidated move, as it was much less expensive and I had a flexible delivery schedule. Krystian also assured me that the pickup time would be exactly on time and on the date I specified. I received an email confirmation of my move detailing the full list of charges, estimated items list, and full value protection confirmation (I opted for no deductible, full value replacement protection since I was going with a consolidated move). Pickup: The day before my pickup, I received a phone call in the evening from Bernard confirming that they would be coming the next morning for the pickup. They indeed arrived promptly the next morning with a 3-man crew. The crew was efficient, courteous, and careful. Everything was wrapped carefully and taken to the truck. They custom-crated my TV at no extra charge, and were done in less than 3 hours. I paid a 50% deposit after they loaded up the truck, and they informed me of a tentative 2-day delivery window, approximately 10 days after the pickup. Overall, the pickup went smoothly and was a very pleasant experience. Delivery: A few days before the estimated delivery window, I received a call from Krystian, who informed me that the movers would be coming on a specific date, in the morning. As the building I was moving into had a flexible elevator schedule, I coordinated a move-in time, and had to push delivery back a few hours to the early afternoon. Bernard had no trouble accommodating that request, and the truck showed up precisely on time for delivery. The delivery went smoothly - a 2-man crew unloaded all my belongings, set up my bed/furniture, and made sure to account for every single item on the manifest. The delivery crew was friendly, efficient, and courteous. I paid the remaining 50% of the balance, and was especially pleased to discover that Bernard had actually lowered the price by about $15 because they ended up using fewer supplies than anticipated. In terms of damage to my items: nothing was broken, and the only noticeable damage whatsoever was a little bit of bubbling of the "wood" finish on the corner of my IKEA headboard (what do you expect from particleboard...) - overall, very impressed. Although some of my boxes were pretty dented, that seemed to be more of a function of my poor packing job on some boxes than Bernard - nothing inside the boxes was actually damaged in any way, and not a single glass or fragile item I had was broken. Overall impressions: I was very pleased with Bernard, overall. The move went smoothly, was less expensive than the binding estimate, and was completed as scheduled and requested. I would not hesitate to use Bernard again in the future if I move back to Chicago, and would not hesitate to recommend Bernard to anyone moving away from Chicago. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Bernard movers was 3 hours late without contacting us letting us know any status. They came up with so many lies about why the all of sudden couldn't move us. The moves had a lie than the people in they phone. the customer service was unpleasing, it was a undertone of radical discrimination. I can go on and on about how bad my experience was I wouldn't refer them to move a dog the way I got treated after they took my money and saying I have to wait until Monday when I paid for services I did not receive. read more

Pros: -Prompt -Worked Quickly -Very polite Cons: -Very Very Careless, nearly all my wood furniture was scuffed in some manner or another. I had four cabinets, only one survived fully intact; they broke the hinges on two of them and cracked the top of the third. Then they offered to fix the hinges, but actually made it worse. The list of damaged items goes on: a box of glassware, a blu-ray player, etc... -Don't let them pack anything! I let them pack my tv and that almost turned out to be a huge mistake. They wrapped it in paper and put it in a box, that's it; no multiple layers, no padding, no protection. Of course somehow during the move a rip appeared in the box, luckily only the frame got scuffed and the screen wasn't damaged. -Expensive If we weren't moving states, we wouldn't have hired movers. However, since we HAD a lot of nice stuff and there were hours of driving with stairs on both sides of the trip it was necessary. Logistically they were excellent, but they are reckless and your stuff will get damaged. In the end it is only stuff, but it still sucks when you pay a lot of money to move and your stuff still gets damaged. When we move back we will probably hire movers again, but it won't be these guys. If for some reason you do hire them, pay the extra cash and do not get a deductible. read more

I used Bernard Movers again and had another good experience. While this move was only a little over a mile away, the guys were on time, professional and quick. They also had a fairly new truck this time and after chatting with them, I found out the company had grown quite a bit since we last used them. One thing that didn't change is the customer service as Lynn is great setting up things. She actually remembered us from the previous moves and thanked me personally for a few referrals. While I hope I don't have to move again any time soon, I'll definitely be using these guys again if needed. read more

I've used Bernard a few times locally for moving office furniture between work buildings. I've always had a great experience with them. Timely, professional, items arrived in same condition they left in. Recently, I am relocating to Denver from Chicago and heard Bernard does long distance moves. I spoke with Lynn in length going over the process and what to expect. First off, they actually send someone to your house to get a REAL QUOTE for your stuff. If you're anything like me - you might be in denial about the amount you actually have stashed in your "junk" closet. She spent so much time talking to me and reassuring me about everything. She also mentioned how quickly your stuff will get to your new location. Anyways, we decided to move ourselves in the end. And it was only because we couldn't commit to a move by date. I'm not sure how much we would have been quoted, but Lynn assured me it would be the best deal possible, and I don't doubt it. It has nothing to do with Bernard as to why we didn't use them in the end (we couldn't get our lives together fast enough...haha) I will 100% contact Bernard should we be in need of another move though. From all the companies I spoke with and all the people I dealt with - by far one of the best experiences. Also, FYI - IL Movers Associate recommended them, highly. Bernard did a fantastic job with our move. Juan, Caleb and Edwin were professional, respectful, and very fast. It was pretty amazing watching them carry furniture to a 4th floor walk-up. They were very efficient. The only issue we had is that I specifically declined insurance when I scheduled the move (old furniture - didn't need insurance), but when they had me sign paperwork upon arrival they included insurance. They quickly told me what was in the paperwork and mentioned 'eval' which I agreed to thinking the guy had done a quick eval of what we had to move making sure it matched my phone description. I assumed it was part of the basic moving lingo and had no idea he was talking about insurance. The 'eval' charge is $50. Had he called it insurance, as they had on the phone, I would have declined it again. Once I figured it out at the end of the move, I was able to get the charge credited after a supervisor was contacted. They also charged $40 for a small amount of shrink wrap, which you may or may not need. I agreed to it because it was sprinkling and because of Covid-19. They really were fantastic, though. I moved with Bernard Movers about 9 months ago. I was given a quote of $250. I was moving a large table, large armoire, and a sofa/bed and love seat LITERALLY down the street. The whole process took almost 4 hours. For moving four pieces of furniture down the street. The final cost was $370, over 100 dollars over the estimated price. This was after I was almost tricked to pay $550--but I am too good at math to let them get away with it. Someone who was not paying attention would have not figured this out. For contrast I recently moved with New City Movers. I think this says it all. I had a sofa-bed, love seat, TV, large armore, large dining room table with chairs, heavy dresser, queen bed, side table, 2 bookshelves, twin bed with bed frame, side table, and a few boxes. ONLY 360! The people were also goofying around and making inappropriate jokes. They even highly suggested that a tip was required even though I was highly not pleased with their performance. Just moved to Chicago from DC. Co worker of my fiancé told us about Bernard could not be happier! Three guys arrived with a truck, We had a one bedrooms worth of stuff so not much to pick up from our storage unit. The guys were fast and got our ginormous couch in the apartment! The guys were awesome I can't recall all of their names but I do remember Frank, Louis All of the guys were super awesome and sweet ! I just couldn't believe how painless this move was. I was not excited to move especially from DC to Chicago. Not because of the location but because who likes moving ? No one does. Lol this company made it so easy and pain free! I actually enjoyed it! My fiancé and I immediately unpacked our place and our apartment was all set up that day! I have never gotten settled in so fast! As for setting up the move, Lynn is an awesome lady! We had Brian, Tommy, and Nigel move us this week from an elevator building to a walk up so hard work. They were very friendly and helpful to make sure things were protected properly before moving. Booking them was very straightforward as well. Complaints I have is that they scratched our kitchen island and didn't tell me. I heard them talking about it but I just wish they would have showed me at the time. And we are missing a coat rack that I have contacted the company about and is yet to be found. read more

Sadly I was not impressed - the three men were VERY slow. (6 hours for two bedrooms and assorted boxes). Maybe one hour was my fault with a china cabinet they couldn't get out of the basement. I moved from a house to a condo - when we left the house I said "I will go in thru the garage and come up and open the door." Came up and opened the door - and waited and waited. After half an hour I called - they took a dinner break. Couldn't they have told me that? I wouldn't have minded stopping for something to eat. I had another moving company scheduled, the day before the move that company called and told me they overbooked and cancelled on me. I had to find a quick fix. I called Bernard Movers and told them the situation and they came to my aid. They worked with me, figured out a good time, gave an estimate (which was half what the other would have charged), and followed through. When their staff arrived they did the job in half the estimated time, and charged me only for actual time (saving me even more than the estimated). Everything they did was outstanding. read more

Their estimator did a fantastic job estimating everything up front, Bernard movers submitted all proof of insurance to the building management company on time. The day of the move the 4 team members packed everything very carefully. Two of the guys drove our stuff down to Florida and we met them there two days later. They worked their butts off in the heat and unloaded/unpacked everything carefully. In the end these guys moved us perfectly, nothing broke, they were professional and super nice and careful. Oh, I also asked Bernard movers to move our cars. I just dropped them off before we left for Florida and 5 days later the cars arrived. SUMMARY: Our movers were awesome, price was reasonable, the dispatcher was very friendly and accommodating, but communication and punctuality could use some work. LONG VERSION: We ended up being in the predicament of having to book movers just under a week before our move date. Our move was a bit of a challenge--we had to be moved out by 3pm on the 30th, but couldn't move in until the 1st. We called basically every moving company on Yelp, and Bernard Movers was the first one that wasn't completely booked solid. We talked with the dispatcher about doing a 2-day move; she was really friendly and said logistically and financially, she would recommend that we get our own truck and move ourselves out on the first day since we had an elevator, and then Bernard would do the move-in on the 2nd day up 3 flights of stairs. We really appreciated her helping figure out the best way to do this, even though it meant less money for them. It ended up being a great solution. However, when it came to moving day, things went a little less smoothly. Our movers were scheduled to show up between 8 and 9 am to unload our truck, but by 9:30, there was no sign of them. We called the dispatcher and got no answer, left a message. She eventually called back and insisted she had called us the previous day and told us that the movers wouldn't be able to be there until 11. We DID talk to her the previous day, but she definitely didn't mention any of that and we didn't get another call or message. We waited and waited, no sign of them, until they called at 11:30 and said they'd be there at noon. They didn't show up until about 12:30. Once they got there, though, everything was great. We had 3 movers and unfortunately I can only remember the name of one - Maurice. They were all great guys, super friendly and very polite. They were also really fast and efficient, completing our whole unload in just 2 hours in near-100º heat up 3 flights of outdoor stairs, including a brief intermission to wait out the worst of a sudden rainstorm. We wanted to tip the movers, but they couldn't do it on a credit card payment and we had no cash. They insisted that they work because we pay for their services, not for tips, but that the thought was appreciated. It was really refreshing since a lot of these companies are pushy about tips. The final price we paid was pretty much what I expected, and aligned with our quote. Overall it was a good experience and we'd use them again, with slight reservations due to the lateness issue and communication from dispatch. read more

We just had Bernard movers move our 3 bedroom apartment from Chicago to San Francisco. They were incredibly professional, courteous, and effective from start to finish. Krystian came to our apartment and did a detailed walkthrough and quote for a direct move. They also gave us a quote for our car. Both quotes were very reasonable given the fact that they were guaranteed to be that price or lower, were a direct move, and because they had such strong Yelp reviews relative to most companies. The quote is guaranteed to be the max, which is nice to know and reflects the fact that they are a very honest and straightforward company. On move out day, James and three others arrived on time and moved us out quickly and efficiently. Two days before our scheduled arrival date, they called to let us know that they would be there a day earlier than planned, which is much better than the last time we moved and our items were in limbo for an entire month as it went around the country due to poor communication. James, Juan, and Marco moved us in and were professional, speedy, careful with our items and diligent assembling furniture and putting items where they belonged. We couldn't find one of our numbered boxes, and James was visibly concerned and helped us locate it by looking through each one. I've recommended them to three other friends making big moves, and will continue to do so for any other people moving in Chicago. read more

This company deserves 5 stars or even more. I moved back to the city this past weekend and the process was semaless. My initial call was answered by the owner of the company who responded to all my questions and concerns. She was always patient becuase of what she told me later she in business for over 40 years and she knows what she's talking about. The day prior to my move she called me to confirm the appointment. So far so good. My move was scheduled between 12 and 2 pm.They arrived 30 minutes later but it was fine with me as the driver had called me to give me the heads up couple hours later. They started to work as soon as they get there and my entire move was done in 3 hourrs, which was lee than I expected. The whole team Rick, Marcos, and Adam were very professional and very careful with everything. I dont understand how other companies that I have been used before they have better rating than Bernard Movers. I definetely recommend this compamy to all my friends and family and to all of you who are looking to an easy-fast move around the city. read more

Lynn worked with me to put in a claim over my damaged items and they provided me with the full replacement value of the items in an extremely timely manner. She even offered to send out a furniture repairer to take care of some of the minor nicks and dings that occurred during the move. I honestly did not expect this, given the situation, and I am blown away by such customer service. I have used them 3 times now, and while it stung to have such personal items damaged, Lynn's customer service is still honestly the best I have ever dealt with. They resolved the issue in a professional, timely manner, and as discourteous as I was (ok, downright nasty at times) they really rectified the situation, so thank you very, very much. read more

Their teams previously handled a few moves of mine from a condo into storage, and they've always been great. But they exceeded my already high expectations with my parents" move. Not only were they friendly, fun, courteous and extremely professional, they worked quickly without cutting any corners when packing the parents' entire house. I would give them zero stars if I could. My girlfriend was supposed to move out today (July 7) around 11am, it is now 2:15pm, and Bernard Movers JUST called saying that they were on their way. They said that they were 40 minutes out. This was AFTER my girlfriend left them 6 messages - SIX! - wondering where they were! They were supposed to get to her old place by 11am. They didn't call until 2:15pm. You think that after the first 2 or 3 calls someone would call you back, but no. It took SIX calls & a cancelation for them to finally call back. The least they could've done was to call my girlfriend back and said that they were running late or whatever, but not even so much as a message. She was working through Lynn, one of the customer service people, but in the end, it wasn't her who called back (too cowardly to own up to your responsibilities, Lynn?). My girlfriend is working on a time constraint and so being 3 hours late (when she was supposed be moved in by 1pm) is simply unacceptable. We went with a last minute mover, who quoted the same, if not less ($40 to wrap the tv, as opposed to $25 from the other movers). Word of caution: Don't use these guys since they can't even give you the decency of calling you back after running 3 hours late. read more

Can't say enough nice things about this company. Over the last ten years, I've used Bernard Movers three times, and I'm so grateful to say that each time was fantastic experience. The first two moves were local, and the most recent was from Chicago to Dallas. It was a relatively hurried move, and I was very lucky that Bernard Movers made it as stress-free as moving can be. I had some very, very minor hiccups in terms of communication, but I was also doing quite a lot of travel in the lead up to my move, and was not as available as I wish I could have been. For a local move, you describe the size of your home and what you'll need moved, and they estimate the number of people and hours needed based on that. Both times, the movers were on time, and called me about 30 minutes in advance to let me know they were on their way. Both moves took roughly 3-4 hours, and I still remember how funny and courteous they were, even in the face of a broken freight elevator and a three story walk-up. For the more recent out-of-state move, the long-distance move manager did an in-person walk through, and provided a binding estimate, along with details regarding timing. I was moving for work, and ultimately decided that it was worth the extra money to have a guaranteed delivery date of my choosing (rather than the open ended between 2-15 days of pick-up). Both the pick up and delivery crews were great. My parents were staying with me during the pick-up, and even they remarked on how careful and pleasant the three-man crew was. The movers took inventory of all of my boxes and belongings, asked questions about the furniture as they disassembled it, and were very receptive to the requests I made for extra padding around some more sentimental things. I paid 50% up-front, and was given a copy of all of the paperwork, including a detailed list of my boxes, furniture, and other belongings. Two days before my set delivery date, I received a phone call from the driver, letting me know that they were leaving Chicago - the evening before my delivery date, he called again, and I let him know the best time for them to arrive. A two-man delivery team quickly unloaded my items and moved them into my new home. Everything was accounted for, and nothing was broken or otherwise damaged. It took slightly longer than the pick-up, but again, there were two people rather than three, and assembling furniture is more complicated than disassembling it. They cleaned up and had me to do a walk-through to make sure I was completely satisfied. Nothing was lost or damaged, and they were kind enough to bear with me as I played around with the placement of a table and bookshelf, letting me see how it would look in a few different configurations. read more

I used Benards Movers for an out of State move from Chicago to Raleigh. My first point of contact was with Lynn the owner who was very nice and had one of her estimator's call me back within the hour. Krystian who came to my apartment a few days later did his walk through and we discussed all the details involved with moving. My biggest concern was my items being broken since that had been my experience the last 3 out of state moves. Krystian was very personable and assured me that they would take care of my things. Why I chose them over the others, Krystian took his time and sat with me to understand what was important to the me. The other estimators were in and out within 15mn. On the move day, the movers Frank, Charles "Chuck", and Louis were on time and ready to load. These guys were so friendly and funny. They made the entire experience enjoyable! They kept me laughing the entire time and wrapped all of my fragile things so carefully. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. On the delivery day, Marvin and Little Freddy (he asked me to call him that, lol) unloaded all of my things in record time. They communicated with me while enroute to my home and called an hour before they arrived.They carefully assembled everything and collected all of the packing materials on their way out. All i can say is THANK YOU! Nothing was broken, not one thing! This is a first. I also glad I used them and if I lived in the chicago area I would definitely use them again. They were an hour late and also did not bring wardrobe boxes. When they did get there, they were quick but wrapped my clothes in a blanket- eww. When they finished moving me though, they unwrapped all of my items in storage and left it all exposed. They over charged when they were just literally two men and a truck. Bernard was recommended by a friend as a really budget-friendly moving company. I was somewhat nervous about using them, but spoke with Lynn a number of times to confirm (I had to switch my date) and she was always pleasant if not a little frazzled. Moving Day: They showed up! A little late, but only about 15 mins. They were super helpful and even provided wardrobe boxes for our smaller boxes (saves us time and money) and didn't charge us for them at the end. They moved everything in about 3 hours (for a 2 bedroom condo) and our stuff made it fine with no damage. However, they did crack an older window in our new place. I was standing right there and they barely touched it, but it was a 100 year old window with extremely thin glass. I was not happy, but called Lynn and within a week they sent a repairman to my place to check it out and had it replaced completely within 10 days--at no cost to me. Bottom line, very reasonable prices, and even came through when my window was damaged. I would recommend them to anyone. read more

I used Bernard Movers on one of the busiest moving days of the year- May 1st and they were excellent. I've moved several times in the city and have worked with many different moving companies that i didn't always like, Bernard has been the best by far. Rusty, Mondo & Hector were easily the fastest movers I've seen. They were polite, efficient, and very attentive to how things should be done. Bernard is also incredibly affordable. I caveat this review by saying I've moved across country several times and am the kind of person who packs my own things. I expect movers to do just that, move things. Not pack. Therefore my review is not based on any sort of additional services they may provide. I hired Bernard based on two coworker recommendations. I was moving from one third floor apartment to another a couple miles away and had a large couch, recliner, bed, and dresser to be moved. They arrived ahead of schedule, were professional and courteous, and beat their own estimate which was already very reasonable. Good friendly service. Andrei and two co-workers showed up on time (they said between 2 and 4 pm Sunday afternoon, and arrived at 3:15). Price was as quoted ($105/hour for three guys and the truck). They were careful and worked fast, although the 5 hours was more than I had thought - although Lynn Bernard told me on the phone that is the minimum I should expect for a 3 bedroom apartment... it's me that wished it was less! I have used Bernard movers for every move in 2017, 2018 and just last week in 2020 and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. On time, called when on their way, careful with everything, clean and large truck, happy and trustworthy guys, extremely quick and transparent with pricing. Moving in Chicago at the end of June is stressful given the time of year. Couple that with moving out of state, I was terrified of being left high and dry by the moving company. We had 11 different estimates! Kristian came out and was the most thorough, spent the most time with us, was extremely patient and gained our trust. Bernard was not the cheapest, nor the most expensive but we felt the most comfortable so went with them. They also came highly recommended from a close friend. Bernard had bailed them out on a local move when their movers left them the day of the move! I called 2 weeks in advance to confirm we were good to go and everything was confirmed. I preferred to speak to Kristian - every time I called to speak to Lynn she had the wrong information or didn't know answers to my questions. The day of the move, Frank called my cell and they were right on time. They showed up with a truck, they wrapped and got everything ready to load. Then we had to wait about an hour because the truck they came with was not the truck that was going out of state. It was a little odd to be honest and we did waste time. However, I called Kristian and he straightened it out right away. They loaded up and were on there way! The next day, they called my husband first thing in the morning with an update and delivered to our home and storage unit with no issues. I would use Bernard again & most certainly recommend them! read more

I was desperate for movers. My landlady changed the date for my move out and I had less than a week to get things re-booked.... and it was May 1st....The busiest moving date of the year! I was frantic. Not only did the owner personally take my phone call and book my appointment but she was incredibly helpful and nice. She knew how stressed I was and she reassured me over and over. She also told me to call if I started getting stressed out again! On my moving date, the movers showed up early and worked hard and fast. They were polite, professional and thorough. I actually ended up paying less than what was quoted because they got done so fast. I couldn't have asked for a better experience, and will continue to use Bernard movers in the future.
