Let me start this by saying I am not someone who typically writes reviews unless the service i received was either amazing or terrible. Although I am particular about my nails, I don't think my expectations are unrealistic. Pros: seated quickly, had good color selection Cons: burned me with scolding water as she was filling my pedicure, no hot towels, left sticky lotion all over my skin before painting my nails, lady was very rough with trimming my cuticles, gel polish peeled off in less than a week. I don't know about you, but almost every other salon I've gone to is very attentive to what the customer wants. I was just very unhappy with my experience here. Getting burned with the water in the beginning was negligent and just sucked. I couldn't wait to get out of there after that. read more

The gentleman that did my nails was very rough when doing my cuticles. He was literally jabbing at my hands. It was painful and they look a mess. The pedicure was decent but the manicure ruined the experience for me. It's been two days and my cuticles still hurt. The paint job was also done in a bit of a rush and it shows. read more

Can't say enough good things! My mom and I were going to be spending the day in Redlands so I looked around for some nail salons. I saw all the rave reviews on Tina, so decided to call and make 2 gel manicure appointments. She was beyond great! She was right on time for our appointments which was great. She attention she paid to my nails was unlike any other salon I have tried. While getting my nails done I was wanting to add on a pedicure but they were so busy! Suggest making an appt. Unfortunately, my nails were so short and damaged from just taking acrylics off...but you couldn't see a single ridge after! Cant recommend Tina enough! read more

First time customer at Ben's Nails. I walked right in without an appointment and they took care of me right away. Tony was super nice. I got a really nice pedicure and Tony gave me a great foot massage. After I left the salon I accidentally messed up the polish on one of my toes. I took a chance and came in off of a friend's recommendation and Yelp reviews, of course. I lived in Redlands for 4 years and don't know how I ever missed this place. I am in love--the people are polite and welcoming --just like I like my nail salons--not chatty and not barking orders at me as soon as I enter the doorway. I called to ask if they had availability in the last hour of business on a Sunday, they accommodated. I walked in and directly to a chair. The color selection, while not the very best, was extensive and suited even my picky taste. The massage was excellent--the lad who did my pedicure spent a considerable amount of time on my feet and calves with the perfect amount of lotion (ever been to those places who use a dime size of lotion and it rubs your legs raw? If so, you know what I mean! He applied my polish meticulously and I couldn't be more happy with a pedicure! Will be back FOR SURE. Nice place, appreciate the staff wears Gloves and masks and facility is all Covid-19 set up to protect both the staff and customer. Ben does an excellent job with my nails every time. They don't over schedule so you don't have to wait forever for your appointment. The only thing on the downside would be they seldom speak English when talking to each other. read more

most horrible nail experience i've ever had. from when i walked in to the minute i walked out. i was sat down with a unlicensed nail tech. sat me down on a pedicure massage chair... and was to turn my body to a nail tech desk... very much lower very uncomfortable position. this nail tech then started my nails... apparently they failed to say this person is not licensed and does not have much experience doing nails. i had mountains of product on my hand. once he got to my second hand i couldn't stand the mess. i asked ben. "owner" who had just finished a mani. if he can assist with finishing my nails. he grabbed a bag and said no he had to go and .. also had an appointment. i asked for him to look at my nails. by the face expression he and his partner made i knew it was bad. i then told him i am a paying customer also i should be treated as though asoon as he saw my nails he sat me at his desk. he was talking in another language the whole time. i can tell they were not happy i had spoke up. when trying to remove all this acrylic he filed my nails so short the acetone was now burning, he filled my nails down... more tried to tell me to wash my hands he was done. there was still alot of acrylic. once his appointment got there he began to hurry more on my nails after im telling him hes hurting me ... he talks to his partner.. in another language then apprently its the partners turn to take a try at getting all this acrylic off. she then trys the acetone after i told her my nails are hurting. i tld her i refuse to py another nail shop for your mistake. she then continues to say "i will give you 5 dollars for them to do it" It took 2 hours for them to take all this off I still have acrylic on my nails... to much pain to keep grinding them. this place treats you like shit. my nails are all fucked up. i cant even scratch because they are so short and are in pain. this is a definitely a chop shop. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing pedicure I received at Ben's nails. The woman who did my nails put four coats on each nail and took her time to make sure it was right. New to Redlands and was looking for a new pedicure and mani place . On my third time I found Ben's Nails and made an appt about a month ago . I'm not sure who did my pedi but she was awesome and relaxing then she asked if I minded if Tony did my Mani while I relaxed with her doing my pedi . I agreed and OMG!! He gave me the best mani and the best hand massage of my life !!! He is the first person to not rush my mani ! I just do normal one and he was so good I had to rebook for both mani pedi with him yesterday . My feet hurt so bad before and today I feel so good !! I had a positive experience before but not this time AT ALL! I felt uncomfortable during my experience. Even with an appointment, I had a 30 min wait. The guy who attended me was very rushed while doing my mani and pedi and sadly it shows. He clipped and filed my nails down so much and not even straight. I showed him the design I wanted, in essence a French manicure and it came out so badly. I would understand but it didn't even seem like he was trying. June 2018 I chose #607 Hazelnut~ I came in with a broken nail right in the middle of my nail. They fixed it with a reinforcer that is ultra strong and durable. I really don't like leaving bad reviews and I was happy that I was able to make an appointment and I was seen on time. I came in to get a dip manicure and had one on that needed to be removed. They sanded down most all of the previous dip product feeling like they were burning my nails in the process. I would've been OK with that but they never removed all of the old product. I pointed out at the time and he sanded it down a little bit more but not just removing it with acetone as everyone else does. When you start with a lumpy surface it's hard to end in any other way. They talked me into doing a gel manicure rather than the dip which would've been fine but again when you start with a bad surface you're not going to end up with a good manicure. My nails looked pretty terrible. I will not be going back. read more

Do not come here if you are not a regular they treat their walk in's like crap. So very very disappointed. We had an appointment at 4:45 for 3 pedicures they took 2 of us and said the third one of us would be next only for one of their regulars to come in and just take the next chair available with out an appointment. Went here for a pedicure they want to charge $41 for a basic pedicure . i asked what does it include and it only includes spa pedicure and polish , for gel extra 10$ for anything extra $10 for callus remover and that's just ridiculous. To shape toenail extra $5, if i want oil with lotion it's extra , to take polish off my toes that's on there extra $5. THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL PRICE GOUGING. OVER CHARGING. like did y'all want me to scrub my own feet ? will never spend money here or recommend. Not to mention entire nail shop smelled like cigarettes. just ugghhh. Ben's Nail Salon staff did a great job of setting up shop to accommodate clients in a safe environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. They went above and beyond enclosing each client in a 3/4 enlosed plexiglass/plastic box. When the county decided, this month, it should have been based upon how each salon adapted rather than a decision to close 'all' nail salons again. The cost for changes to setup to adhere to county rules/regulations, only to have to close again had to detrimental to these businesses. read more

I recently moved back to Redlands and I was looking for a new nail salon. I've found it! I went to Ben's on a random Wednesday around 3:30 pm, there was no wait. Lindsey waxed my brows- she is awesome! Also, I love the manicure I got from Ben. This salon has lots of pretty colors for gel polish- their colors are way better than the last salon I went to. When it comes to things like nails, hair, waxing etc I tend to bounce around a lot, but I will definitely be coming back to Ben's! read more

I had read about this salon on Yelp and made a "walk-in" visit on a whim. The owner, Ben, was personable and his staff were more than courteous to me and the other patrons. Customers greeted him and he knew them by name. The place was packed and happy. Ben squeezed me into the space between his last appointment and his next. My nails came out just the way I wanted them because he listened to my request and was patient with the way I like them done.
