Update to my last review - They do have beautiful colors but both times the different techs have cut me. This time there was literally a bubble of blood he painted around, and I have three cut cuticles three days before my wedding. The last time I was cut I looked past it because the nail design was perfect Barbie themed, better than I was even anticipating, but this time I asked for pearl chrome and even after I said I wanted it more white it ended up too pink. He looked like he was going to drill it all off and restart at least to get a more white base but at that point I didn't want the drill anywhere near me again so I told him to leave it. At this point I wish I never had gone and got press ons instead. TLDR beautiful colors but be very clear with them what you want and ask them to be gentle read more

I've been going to this nail salon for years, then moved, and came back to Redlands. Today I had David do my baby shower nails and I am just so happy with how well they are done! This place honestly never fails me, by far my favorite nail salon hands down and still the same owner for years! Very friendly here, never had any issues with quality or employees. Very rude terrible customer service. I came in and asked if I could use the restroom and I understand it's not for public use. I even tried purchasing water or anything and they still said no. They said it's only for customers, but I'm trying to become a customer and I'm trying to pay for something and they literally won't let me. The man in charge is very rude. read more

I am very disappointed with my experience. I ended up with an infected ingrown nail, which I believe was caused by improperly cleaned or sanitized tools. Cleanliness and sanitation should be a top priority, especially when providing services that involve direct contact with clients. Unfortunately, this experience has caused pain, inconvenience, and concern for my health. Price was good, but man, I've never even had a basic polish manicure chip as badly less than 24 hours after the pedicure. The edges of my nails were also cut really sharp. I asked for the hot oil manicure and they forgot to do the hot oil part. My polish is chipped less than a day later just as bad as if I had the polish on for over a week, and there were bubbles under the polish after it dried. I've never left even a bad pedicure without tipping. Until now. This is my 3rd time trying Pretty Nails, at my mom's recommendation because she absolutely loves Peter. Each time I've booked an appointment, I've specifically asked for Peter, and so far Peter has never once been who I've gotten. He's always left early and not been there for my appointment. If I ever do get an appointment with Peter, I'd be open to changing my review stars to be higher. Today's pedicure was the most lackluster pedicure I've ever had. Absolutely nothing notable ever happened. So-so on the callus removing effort (I'm feeling my feet as I write this and they're as rough as they were before the pedicure), minimal sea salt scrub rubbing, very pointless massage. I originally asked for the additional 10 minutes of massage for $10, but glad they totally forgot I asked for it and didn't give it to me. Annoying they forgot about it, but worked out in this case because it wasn't an enjoyable massage at all. I had to ask several times for my nails to not be filed at a weird angle, and then many of my toes had a rough filing I had to ask to be smoothed out. I got him to get them as good as I could, but most of them aren't all that nicely cut/filed. And the girl at the desk was often playing videos from her phone that were annoying to hear. The first time I ever tried Pretty Nails (also supposed to be with Peter and it wasn't), the guy who did my nails actually criticized me for being a single female who doesn't want a husband or kids. It was so bad I just sat there for my pedicure in awe, not even comprehending this could be happening. Rumor is that guy doesn't work there anymore. Unless for some reason I'm absolutely guaranteed to be able to give Peter a try, since he's been my mom's favorite for years, I might try Pretty Nails again. Otherwise, I have no plans to ever try again. Tried it 3 times, and 2 of those were some of the worst pedicure experiences I've ever had. The 3rd one was just mediocre- not terrible but nothing to write home about either. Maybe I just always somehow get the worst person in there? There might be plenty of good ones. Have a 2nd star because the place is clean, which I value, and my polish is pretty good. Otherwise, it wasn't worth the $38 I spent at all. read more

I did not have a good experience at this salon. Really disappointing considering all the good reviews. 1) they overcharged me and my boyfriend. I got a pedicure and acrylics and he got a pedicure no color. 2) they have a sign $1 charge for credit cards. We paid with debit and I pointed it out and they said oh uhhh also $1 charge for you. I know it's only a dollar it's not crazy but more so that not being stated and then not having any other reason other than uh I feel like it. 3) my nail chipped 3 hours after I got them done. I was just laying in bed and did my make up, very weird. 4) the application from acrylic to cuticle is very very bad. As well as the paint job, very unleaded with it but couldn't say anything because they wouldn't listen. 5) very rough, made my boyfriend bleed and made me bleed twice. 6) we made an appointment and paid for our services but my boyfriend had to wait 10 minutes for his because a walk in was their priority eventho he walked in after us. And then once they finally started on his pedi, another lady walked in and they fixed her nails up in the middle of doing my boyfriends, the one who was doing the walk in didn't move no us who made an appointment had to, not the biggest deal but with all the other things happening big no no. I got gel on my nails and toes and paid $50. The shaped, filed, pushed my cuticles back and did all the other mechanics to make sure everything looked pretty. They expressed concern with the color showing up on my nails because I chose a really light pink, but they managed to make it look beautiful without me needing to choose a different color which I appreciate (especially because of how many coats they had to do!) He not only fixed the oval shape but also the parts that had started lifting due to bad product at another salon. Will def be back. Very small place so call ahead of time. Went to get a pedicure and remove some Gel X residue I had on my nails. The pedicure I got a French tip and I had to continually tell them to make the white paint thinner cause he wanted to leave it thick and ugly. And for my finger nails seems like they don't have experience will Gel X because the process they did was not as it's supposed to be to carefully take off the Gel x. The lady who kept doing it would burn my nail with the file because they didn't or couldn't melt the gel x with the soak off. She then "finished" but the job was not complete, I still had gel x on all of my nails. I didn't tell her anything anymore as I had told her before but it still was the same outcome. I have never had an issue with getting it removed at other salons but I tried this salon because it's closest to home. Never coming back, when I told them when it was time to pay at least they didn't charge me for the removal since it was so bad. read more
