During my manicure, the technician began filing that nail very aggressively. I told her multiple times that it hurt, but she continued. At one point, the nail pulled further away from my skin and started bleeding. She then sprayed alcohol on it and apologized after seeing how much pain I was in. She glued a tip over the broken nail and applied acrylic, but the situation got worse while she was drilling. I pulled my hand back and explained that she had drilled too far down and that it was burning badly, but she continued anyway. She ended up drilling through the acrylic and into my actual nail, leaving a noticeable dent in my natural nail and causing it to bleed. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Another issue was the communication. The technician did not understand what I was saying, and I had to rely on another employee to translate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I explained that the nail had been drilled too far down, I was told it was "just the cuticle," which felt dismissive and frustrating considering I was actively in pain and bleeding.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was given 10% off and a cuticle oil, but that did not make up for the experience. Four hours later, my nail was still throbbing, and I'm genuinely concerned about possible damage or infection. I have never had a nail service leave me in this much pain. I usually try to be understanding, but this experience felt careless, painful, and poorly handled from start to finish. 5 STAR SERVICE I stumbled onto this place while I was in Redlands. My technician for a pedicure was Cindy, she gave me an amazing pedicure!!! She took her time, gave me a great massage and I noticed this shop did not charge for all the extra little things such as taking off polish, filing down, etc. All the little things that all the other shops charge extra for this shop did not. The prices were very reasonable and the service, as stated, was exceptional!!! I have been back to the shop with a different technician and she was very good as well. Been coming here a long time, and had an issue where the lady took 1.5 hours for a gel pedicure and didn't do all of the services in the package I paid for. I said no problem I have to go just do the basic pedicure. Was charged $50 for services I didn't get anyway. I addressed with the owner I'm being confronted and a big deal over something they could have easily resolved with communication. Then they tried to refund $5 but I was embarrassed by the big scene paid full price and told them I won't be coming back. Beware!!! This salon came highly recommended, so I was really excited--especially since these were supposed to be my birthday nails. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I arrived early for my appointment with Andy and showed an inspo photo of almond-shaped French tip acrylics (slightly pointier almond, not stiletto).[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Andy started right away and shaped one nail, then asked how I liked it. I told him the shape was too oval and asked if he could make it a bit more pointy. Instead of adjusting slightly, he began filing my nails into a sharp point. They literally looked like small triangles. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I stopped him and asked why he was shaping them that way, and he said, "You asked for pointy." I clarified again that I wanted almond, which had already been explained and shown in the inspo photo before he started.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He then asked me what I wanted him to do, which was frustrating since the request was clear from the beginning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] If I hadn't been flying out that day, I would have asked for a full removal. I had a very disappointing experience at ACE Nail Salon & Spa. When I arrived, I showed the staff a picture of the manicure I wanted -- a pink base with shimmer and a horizontal cat eye line in the middle. However, the technician, who was wearing a hat, did not ask me any questions about the type of polish I wanted (gel or acrylic), and instead started applying what looked like orange acrylic without discussing it with me first. The color was not what I requested, and it seemed like they didn't have the proper materials or the picture that I showed him that I wanted that color he could have simply said no we don't have it. I would have left not gotten anything done right I would've found another location. The technician was also quite rude and impatient, making the experience uncomfortable. He hurt my fingers multiple times and kept pulling on my arms during the process. After the application, he instructed me to wash my hands in the sink, which felt rude and unprofessional, especially since I was unfamiliar with the place. Once I had to put my nails inside the UV light, he literally put his machine on top of my phone which cracked my little camera on my phone. It was on top of my keys like so disrespectful. In addition, I was quoted a price of around $55-$65 for a simple medium-length manicure, but I was charged $75, which felt unfair given the service provided. The technician left I was doing the process of the Zelle, he did not return after I paid, so I was already leaving because now I'm gonna go to another nail salon to fix what he did, he called me out and asked if I sent the money already. I said yes he told me I had to wait so he can confirm the payment via Zelle, which added to my frustration. Overall, I was very disappointed with the quality of service, communication, and professionalism at this salon. I would not recommend this place based on my experience. First impression: This nail salon is welcoming and spacious, with new equipment and plenty of seats for mani and pedis. The staff also keeps everything very clean! I was surprised it didn't smell like strong acetone/nail polish upon walking in. Service: I got a dip manicure with gel and the pedicure plus. Can I just say that I really appreciate how they take their time shaping and making sure my nails were neat?? Hannah did my manicure and she was very precise. I don't often get my nails done and wanted something nice before I leave for vacation, so I appreciated her suggestions on shape and also telling me about gelX to keep my natural nails protected. As for the pedicure, I didn't catch her name but I really enjoyed the sugar scrub massage and hot stone on my legs and feet. I felt so relaxed! I came here on June 25th had a whole set put on and a week later one already popped off. I called and was told to come back and had to pay to have it replaced. Then the design doesn't even match the one I had put on the first time and I already have another one coming off and it hasn't even been 3 weeks. The set cost me $95 so I'm disappointed in the whole thing. You can see the difference right away in the photo. This place is a SCAM . I came to get a pedicure here and she charged me 50 dollars plus a bunch of hidden fees that should have came with the service. ($5 to BUFF my nails???.) I've been coming to this salon recently (about a year) because it was always a welcoming vibe, they're really busy but they do their best to accommodate you, I even started bringing my sister with me, she's really picky so we were both happy to finally find a spot! HOWEVER, today we came in to do our nails, we knew there would probably be a wait but didn't mind as they usually help us fairly quickly (30-40mins at most) so we were patient. They sat me first for my pedicure, my sister waited for her turn. We arrived at 4:30. About an hour later, my sister was still waiting. Another woman (white woman) came and only waited 20 minutes before they sat her down and started servicing her immediately. All while my sister was still waiting. We felt so disrespected.
