So sweet and welcoming I needed to get my nails done for my wedding along with my best friend and momma In law the day before Easter we were having trouble finding a good salon. We arrived at Kim's around 6:30pm they closed at 7:30 Kim and her husband took us almost immediately we got three pedicures and two manicure full sets they stayed over closing time to ensure we are all assisted. SO incredibly disappointed as I write this review. I will definitely not be back and would strongly discourage others from getting any kind of nail service here. The first pic is immediately after she cleaned my nail and getting back into my car, the second is 30 minutes later, still bleeding. Now over 2 hours later, can't tell if it's still bleeding under the bandaid I was given but still stings. Definitely regret spending my time and money here. This was the first time in months that I had time to get my nails done and was really looking forward to it. I called in the morning and asked if they accept walk-ins, and came later in the afternoon. I was quickly serviced, as I was the only person in there. The entire time, the woman doing my nails kept looking out the window and at her phone as if she was waiting on someone more important. The salon was empty the whole time I was there. As she's cleaning up the cuticles on my right hand, I feel a prick and she tells me "sorry, I hurt you." I look at my hand and see the raw skin from where I was cut. She wiped off some of the blood with a towel and that was it. When she finished she sprayed something on my finger and sent me off. It continued bleeding while I was at Costco, so much so that I went to the restroom to wash some of it off. It just kept bleeding, I decided that this service was unacceptable so I went back to the salon. The woman who cut my finger told I shouldn't have washed my hands. She put some green liquid on a bandaid and put that on my finger. I requested my tip back which I felt terrible about, but $35 for a gel manicure (plus initial tip) that left me bleeding and in pain for hours is absolutely not worth it, especially since I have patchy spots and rough edges on my nails. I've never bled this much and this long receiving any kind of nail care. Now I just wait and hope it doesn't get infected. read more

I asked for thin and had her thin them again after but they still look like bubbles on my nail. There's some dip powder under my nails too so my fingers feel strange. I would love to give a better review, this is my second time here decided to give them a second chance since moving to highland. Today was just sad, the girl doing my manicure was in such a hurry, I asked to see more colors and she never showed me, she picked her own color. I showed a picture of a Modern design on nails and she totally ignored me and gave me her own version of a flower design w a jewel like it's 2002. I'm sad I just won't be back. I was also never asked to pick a color for my pedicure and had to settle w the clear pink they use for french manicures. Today was just a sad experience overall and I just can't come back. Both ladies were dressed very nicely, and were very kind and polite. I got the powdered nails and Kim gave me the best manicure along with doing the powdered nails. EXCELLENT SERVICE & QUALITY WORK Came to a last minute appointment at Kims to fix a full set another salon gave me that was chunky, crooked, and just rough. Kim helped me herself, shaving down the nail, filing them straight, and repainting them perfectly. We talked while she worked and it seemed as though she really took her time to make sure it was done correctly. When I looked at the clock, she was finished in under 30 minutes. :) My nails turned out beautiful, straight, and smooth. She gave me exactly what I asked for and produced a really nice set for me. Second time trying this place. Still on the fence. It was 84 outside and they only had the doors open. No AC or fans on. Chairs are bit uncomfortable and wouldn't move back very much. For somebody who's 5'8" I felt too close and scrunched my legs. Beginning of experience; When I walked in, I was the only customer. The two ladies sitting in the pedi chairs said hi and immediately started arguing who was getting up to help me. The owner, I'm guessing, won and stayed sitting and made it pretty obvious she had no intention of getting up in the first place. I'm here 5 min and she's already asleep. The other workeris doing my pedi and she's really taking her time and asking me if I like the shape and listening when I ask her to make more round or whatever. She's really good. Second half of experience; Another customer dared to come in and disturb the owner's nap. But she popped up and got her in a chair. Shortly after her husband and daughter came in. They turned the music and AC on thankfully. Guess it's not worth keeping it on unless two or more customers are in here?? Idk... Not thrilled but not hating the final result. If my normal place is too packed I'll probably come back here if I need it done same day. Otherwise I'll wait for my regular place. read more

This week I stopped in for the first time. I wanted a gel fill. The young lady who was my manicurist seemed to be in a hurry. More than once she got the drill too close to my nail bed. Ouch! Then she hurriedly completed the fill and gel paint. The color was duller than it looked on the sample. She didn't put enough coats on and I thought that my nails were dried too few times.Oh and the dryer was old and kept going off prematurely. 2 days later my polish began to chip. I returned on Friday and asked that my nails be painted again with the same color. After a 30+ minute wait the same young lady attended to my nails. She asked if I wanted 2 nails painted (presumably the 2 that were most obviously chipped). I said that she could decide but I personally thought that the paint on all the nails would soon chip. Again, she was in a big hurry.As I sit here working this my nails are sticky! read more

I went to this salon for the first time due to the 4 stars and I got a new set of nails which turned out to be crooked, shaped unevenly and I'm very disappointed! I would expect any nail tech to take pride in their work and do an amazing job but this is not good at all! I need to find a nail tech that works for herself, they seem to take real pride in their work, all these nail shops do a mediocre job and I'm very disappointed! I wasn't going to write a review and just let it go but here I am next day putting peroxide and alcohol on my nail beds to avoid infection and it still burns like hell!!! Moved to the area and have been trying for 2 years to find a good nail studio came here and was taken very fast asked if I wanted water; One star for that. However the girl who did my full set was rude, careless and tried to rush through it. She left my nails lumpy and had to repaint one nail because of how the acrylic dried and her need to rush didn't file correctly then tried to blame me for not putting my hand in the machine all the way. Before leaving as they were finishing my pedicure I look at my hands I have 5 fingers that she sanded my cuticles so far down I have big cuts on 5 nail beds. At this point my nails and feet are done and paid but walked out as a lesson learned don't go here!!! So disappointed to see how careless she was with my nails in the 18 years I've been getting my nails never have I had more than one cut and have had to do after Care at home to remedy these cuts. Just be warned watch out go here if you want cuts all over your fingers. read more
