My husband and I came to Inx Nail Bar for the first time on Sunday without an appointment, and they…read morewere able to take us right away for two pedicures. We both did the basic $40 pedicure (no polish for him, polish for me), and overall it was such a relaxing experience! One thing I will say: give yourself plenty of time. Our pedicures took about an hour and a half, which initially surprised me. But honestly, most of that time we were just relaxing in the massage chairs, which were AMAZING. For $40, I was sitting there thinking, "This is actually a pretty good bargain to just chill here for an hour and a half!" The only time I started getting a little stressed was around the hour mark because we had to pick up our son. But we were walk-ins, they took us immediately, and we were enjoying ourselves, so I really couldn't complain. If you're pressed for time, though, I'd definitely make an appointment and plan accordingly. The reason I'm ultimately giving them five stars is their customer service. Unfortunately, the polish used on my toes seemed like it may have been old or too thick. There were several coats applied, and it never seemed to completely dry. The next morning, I put on black socks and the color from my socks actually transferred onto my toenails. They looked pretty bad. I wasn't able to come back Monday, but I stopped by Tuesday and explained what happened. They were SO gracious about it. Even though their guarantee is normally for gel polish and mine was regular polish, they could clearly see that something had gone wrong and offered to completely redo the polish for me. I really appreciated that because they could have easily told me there was nothing they could do. Instead, they took care of it without making me feel uncomfortable or like I had to argue my case. I even tried to tip the woman who redid them, but I didn't have cash with me. When I offered to put something on my card, she told me, "It's okay, you already paid." That was incredibly sweet. Something that could have left me with a really negative impression actually turned into a very positive experience because of how they handled it. Things happen, what matters to me is how a business responds when they do, and Inx Nail Bar handled it beautifully. Great customer service, relaxing atmosphere, awesome massage chairs, and they stood behind their work. I'll definitely recommend them and would come back! Just make sure you're not in a rush so you can actually sit back and enjoy it.

The massage on my legs was weird as she held onto the bottom of my ankle and sorta twisted my foot back-and-forth. 0/10 would not recommend, unfortunately. I booked an appt on a Friday to have a gel manicure and…read morefrench tip pedicure. When I arrived for my appt I was barely greeted, and there seemed to be confusion on the services I requested. The girl who seemed like she was in charge barely made eye contact, and there was very little interaction with customers other than those she seemed to know personally. When I called to request the appt I was told someone would be able to work on both my feet and hands simultaneously, but the one girl who was available didn't appear interested and so I had to wait until another nail tech was done to receive service, and unfortunately she seemed to be overworked as well. The lady performing my pedicure did not do a thorough job, and my manicure obviously did not have enough time to cure--something I realized once I arrived at my car to find a few of my nails appearing matte rather than with the appropriate coat. After my services were performed, I stood and waited for someone to check me out for at least a few minutes before anyone even looked up, and could have walked out without payment if I was a less conscientious individual. Due to a lack of time and heading out for a trip, I didn't have time to return to ask them to redo the gel, and sure enough by Monday morning both my thumb "gel" nails had peeled off, and by Thursday two other fingers on each hand have began peeling as well. I will be returning to request some level of refund for services as I paid $85 for the services!! I wanted to give them a chance as they are not too far, but due to the poor customer service and low quality product I will never frequent them again, unfortunately.

Most passive aggressive manicure ever. I called this place around 4:40, knowing they closed at 5:30…read moreto ASK if they would have time for a gel pedicure and a full Gel-X set. I would've completely understood if they said no, but the guy told me yes. Great! I arrived literally a couple minutes later, and a really sweet lady started on my pedicure which was great, and she's the only reason I gave the place 2 stars instead of 1. Then another nice lady started removing my old Gel-X. I asked the two ladies again if they were sure they had time for the full Gel-X set, because part of me was considering just doing a basic gel manicure after getting my old Gel-X removed, just to be out of there quicker. They both assured me that YES, they had time for the full set. I thought, that's really nice of them--I'll tip well. Well apparently a third nail tech, who was working on someone else's manicure, would be the one to do my Gel-X set, but needed to finish up with her current client. Once she did, she came over, visibly frustrated that she had to do another service. I understood she was probably tired, so I gave her the benefit of the doubt and showed her nothing but politeness the entire time. What was not okay was her overall demeanor and how poor of a manicure she gave me--I'm still a paying customer and I would've tipped her extra had she provided better quality service. First off, she had no patience for my Erb's Palsy in my right arm that has very little range of motion (i.e. can't turn my hand over on its own without using my other hand to force it, and can't bend my arm back far at all without my elbow sticking out in a weird way) because it made it difficult to hold my finger directly under the little overhead UV lamp she set up. Pretty much every manicurist I've ever had has not had a problem with my condition and it has not slowed down their speed of service in any way. It just caused a minor inconvenience for her because she couldn't force my hand to be at the perfect angle, which only added to her frustration. Aside from that, she filed my nails so quickly and carelessly after she got the Gel-X on. I had to ask her to soften the corners of the nails (square shape) so they weren't so sharp, because obviously she had no intention of doing that, and she sort of quickly filed the corners for a couple seconds each, still leaving them sharp and shaped almost like those ugly duck nails from 2010. Then I had to ask her to please cut away some of the dead skin on my cuticles because she had no intention of cleaning them up at all either. She didn't say yes or no, just stayed silent and pissed off and cut away at like 4 of my dead cuticles, and they still looked like shit. She didn't bother putting a base coat under the color gel polish, and I have little bubbles on one of the nails where the powder debris from her drilling the Gel-X nails got trapped under the polish. Not even some lotion on my hands after they sat in freakin acetone for like 15 minutes earlier during the Gel-X removal, and never asked me to wash my hands. Just wanted me the f out of there. The way I can describe her overall energy was like you could practically hear her cussing me out in her head. Here's the thing--next time you're going to be pissed off about a client being in the salon past closing time, simply say that you don't have time. Don't say yes--not once, but twice--and then punish the client with poor service and a bad attitude. It's not my fault the owner agreed take me in, nor was it in my control that the nail tech had to finish up with her client before getting started on my manicure. I could've just gone somewhere else nearby that closed later but had lower Yelp ratings and gotten the same quality of manicure but at least with better customer service.

I was told that there was an opening around 12 PM. It seems that mornings are the busiest, so if you go I highly suggest calling ahead of time or if you are willing to wait, you can sit or explore the nearby area. There are good food spots near this salon and there are shopping centers extremely closeby. Theresa helped me and she was extremely nice and I loved the french manicure she did on me. I came to this salon a second time on a Friday as well, only this time I called ahead. When I arrived near the time of my scheduled appointment, I was sat down almost immediately, no waiting extra. This was also my experience the first time. Winnie did my deluxe manicure the second time I was here and I loved it. I thoroughly enjoy the extra add-ons to a manicure such as the massage and paraffin wax. She did a great job at massaging my arm and helping me relax. The paraffin wax they use smells like peaches and it makes the skin on your hands and arms feel soft afterwards. I showed Winnie a reference picture of some nails I found online. She was so dedicated to making sure it came out as close as possible to the reference, that she had assistance from another nail tech to do the flower designs to make sure it came out perfect. I appreciated the dedication to detail and service. The picture is the final result and I ADORE how it came out! I love a simple short nail manicure and this place delivered the result I wanted. I have definitely found my new favorite nail salon in Redlands and will plan to come back again.

Tina and the whole Trendsetter team are the best!…read more I've been going to Trendsetter Salon & Day Spa in Highland for almost five years, and I couldn't be happier. Owner Robin and the front desk staff are always super friendly and cheerful. They set such a warm, welcoming tone the second you walk in. Tina has been my stylist the entire time, and I honestly can't say enough good things about her. She's friendly, professional, and a true color expert. I go every 4-5 weeks for root touch-ups, treatments, highlights, and trims as needed, and she never disappoints. Other stylists in the salon frequently ask her opinion on formulas, and she even travels across the country to teach coloring techniques. That's how respected she is. What I love most is how she mentors beauty school students and recent grads. She's incredibly detailed when teaching them. Sometimes they assist her, and if she has them shampoo or do anything independently, she always checks their work and asks me for feedback. She's also constantly making sure I'm comfortable by offering me something to drink or checking if I need anything. Tina really listens so she can make sure you get exactly what you want, and she genuinely cares that you're happy when you leave. My mother was a hairdresser, so I ask a lot of questions, and Tina is always happy to answer them thoroughly. Both of my daughters see her too--one for regular trims and the other for highlights, money pieces, and trims. I've even watched her kindly offer her arm to older clients and walk them over to the shampoo bowls. She's thoughtful like that. If something is outside her specialty, she doesn't try to force it--she'll recommend another stylist in the salon. She's not just out to make a buck; she genuinely wants the best result for you. Highly, highly recommend!

Ivy just started applying the gel. I don't think I've ever used gel. When my nails are not used to products my nails reject it and falls apart. In pic. the gel wears out like polish on the white tip. Ivy said next time she will apply what I use which is a French manicure acrylic or powder, my way or what I asked for. I left a message to schedule another appointment. I never heard back. For the past 2-3 weeks I've been in pain as my nails fell off, bent as it got soft on the sides. I've been upset, hurt, pissed at this whole experience. This was my first appointment with Ivy. She set me for 3:p but she already had a 3p. I had to come back. Paid for this first set. All nails fell off when salons shut down last year. Now I have to find another nail tech for another new first set. This is atrocious. She takes cash or 3rd party pay service. Forgot the name of the app. She doesn't take cheques or credit cards. If this is the case she charges extra. This is my first (and last) appointment with her. You would think a new client would have an easy, comfortable, relaxing, pleasant "first appointment." I was looking forward to my nails looking pretty after a year. I had to run outside to the ATM to pay her cash. Then I was lock out. I think I paid extra for something. I can't remember what. (No tip that's for sure. I'm on a fixed income. I can't tip her for her mistakes.) I didn't mean this review to be long winded but it turns out the entire experience as a "new client" was almost traumatic.
