I went in the first time for an acrylic removal (I work at Starbucks so we aren't allowed to have pretty nails) after my vacation to Hawai'i. Stacy helped me and she was the first nail technician who carried on an actual conversation with me. She was super sweet and checked to make sure I was alright and she didn't hurt me. She cares about her clients and their comfort. I went back a few weeks later and got a new set put on for a week in big bear and absolutely loved them! I'll be coming here for mani/pedi appointments. This honestly was the worst experience i've had and it would've been a great shop if the workers weren't so disengaged and rude. I wanted my acrylic set removed and a complete new set done. No names were given at any time. the first lady to help me was frantic and rushed when another, obviously regular, customer came in. She jumped up to hug the customer, sweet but, she left me sitting there while they talked for a good couple minutes. Comes back and continues to rush and hurt me in the process of taking the nails off( after telling me that i should just leave the old set on cause "they're not ready" it would've been the fifth fill smh). Gets the tips glued on, then cuts the size herself without asking or confirming. Quick as a bee cuts them all, while standing, and still completely disengaged from me. Continues to get up and go talk to the other customer, realizes she misunderstood what the lady was there for and gave her the gift certificate she came for. After the customer had left she slowed down and seemed more engaged like she was trying to fix her mistakes before but just couldn't be bothered. After doing what i assume was the best she could, the nails still came out looking horrendous. Then came the polish which took another 40 minutes by itself. I was handed off to someone else, which would've been alright if the second lady wasn't just as disengaged and rude as the first. She said she could do the color i wanted the way it's displayed in front, perfect yay. No! Wrong! She had to do 6 coats of the polish to make it look a little less sheer, after i had to ask. The correct procedure for that polish would've been to lay a base coat of white or black, Did not do that! All while talking to another worker and giggling pointing and making fun of how i'd like my nails to look. They don't know I am around that culture a lot and know quite a few words and expressions and they were not very kind. They were actually very rude and i should've got up and walked out!! I stuck it through all the way to try and not make a fuss but these people were horrible to me. I left and cried after from how horrible the nails look ( the shape color and size were wrong as well as the acrylic being lopsided and uneven AND all over my cuticles) I wish i had enough time or money to have walked out and gone somewhere else but as it is they ruined my day and my nails and will never be getting any of my service or my friends ever again. read more

Had one of the worst pedicures I've ever had. the person who did my nails didn't even give me any information i.e. the slip of pedicures available. She didn't ask me anything other than gel or regular. I had to ask her exactly what I was getting and request certain things. She also scrubbed my feet with a nail file and did not do my French tip straight at all. She did it crooked after I asked her repeatedly to correct it. Came on Saturday 3/23/2024 at about 12:45 pm for pedicure and fill. Total bill $110. Was it worth it NO it was not. Perhaps the pedicure basins are cleaned before opening but I saw no cleaning. Pedicure was fine little overpriced $40. Tech did not completely clean big toe on each foot which is where i was having issues, seemed reluctant to do it. The tech who did the fill was hurried and rushing. And she cut my thumb. Where the cuticle starts. Left one nail crooked, made the fill to thick and did not do any clean up. The cut on thumb is oozing and concerned it will get infected. Also, this establishment should be aware there are people who understand other languages. I did not appreciate the nail techs comments including ow ow ow ow after she sliced my thumb. Will not recommend and will not return. Hieu?? read more

So I was going to a nail salon for a long time and every 3 weeks I went, they raised the price on me. So then I went to another nail salon who were good but never called me back, I was done, so I thought, let me go to Highland Nails and see how they are. I'm so glad I did, Robert did the best pedicure I've ever got, sure the other places were good, but Robert was very detailed and wasn't rushed. Service was 5/11/24.....I liked that I was able to walk in and there was no wait for service and that price of $50 was more than reasonable for ped and mani which included toe gel polish removal . I did not like the very fast way my cuticles were trimmed and that a few times the nip was too close. The nail shape was uneven and the polish on 3 nails wrinkled horribly due to thick coats technician applied. I had to remove myself, reshape nails, and paint again when I arrived home. Although cuticles at nail bed nipped, the sides were neglected. Paint for toes better but I had to have new pedi less than week after for proper cut back of nails. Fortunately, I was not allowed to tip using my credit card so I left to go to the bank to get cash to return when I noticed the wrinkled nail polish and irregularities of the job that was done. read more

Tried this place out for the first time thinking they would be great place but boy was i wrong! I called to make an appointment and it seemed like they were busy but as I arrived w my friend only one other person was seated. There were only 3 employees. One doing pedicures and 2 doing Manicures. The one employee who was a man for SOME REASON couldn't do a simple nude look for my friend. that seems very questionable especially when there's only 3 people working. I walk in and we're seated immediately which was great. But Vivian who did my nails, cut my thumb not even 5 minutes from drilling off my old set. I mean I was overall satisfied with my nails once they finished. I did not tip because she had cut me. The day after my left middle finger has snapped off with no pain whatsoever. I called for it to be repaired and things were good. Here I am 2 days later with the right hand middle finger also snapped off with no pain or how it has happened. I was folding clothes, how can something that simple break a nail. I'm am not pleased at all, i payed 50 dollars for a shitty set and shitty nail techniques. She had put the acrylic nail and the VERY end of my nails which made no sense because everyone i know puts the nail a little over the nail bed for strength. Don't waste your money here. I have been getting my nails done for as long as I can remember and this is unacceptable. I should not have to go twice to get my nail repaired. it's not worth my time being there. 50 dollars in the trash. I also had her put on a new set. read more

Decided to go here in a whim. Just needed a quick fix because I had an event to attend later that evening. I booked an appointment with Vivian as I've heard great things about her. She absolutely lived up to her reputation. What an incredibly sweet lady. She was the sweetest lady, took her time with me and made sure every nail was flawless. I was so very happy with the job she did. The pedicure is the only reason I will take one star off. A man (not sure of his name) did this job. I decided on the paraffin wax treatment because I hadn't had it in a while. It seemed like there wasn't enough wax or something. This salon lost my business. I walked in asking them for color acrylic and the man working this day looked at me like I was crazy as if he had no clue what color acrylic was. He walked around the salon for a minute or two then asked me what I wanted again, so I told him color acrylic. He walks away and comes back pretty much throwing a color wheel of gel polish at me and said "pick a color" so I asked him if those were color acrylic or gel and he replies with " I don't know what color acrylic is, this is gel nails you know gel polish over clear acrylic". I looked at this man as if he was stupid and told him "oh no that's not gel nails you're lying to people and ripping them off" and walked out. I will never do business with this salon ever. read more
