My favorite Nail place!!! The couple that work here are so nice! I appreciate that they're only taking appointments! Right now due to it being just the two of them, they don't want people to wait for hours...like I have done at so many other places! Tom is so good at pedicures and he takes his time but does a great job. It's relatively quiet and relaxing there because there's not 30 other people getting nails and pedicures done. They're also reasonable with what they charge! I work hard for what I make and I want a nice relaxing pedicure that doesn't make me feel like I can only eat boxed Mac N Cheese or Top Ramen for a week to pay for it! read more

If you have problems with ingrown toe nails, make an appointment with Tom. He never rushes and makes certain any nail problems are resolved for you. He is also good with callus removal and doesn't rush through the process The shop itself is roomy so you don't feel crowded together with others but it's a basic nail shop so you won't get a full spa experience if that's what you are looking for. If this review was for Tom alone, it would be five stars. If the review were just for the salon, I'd give it three stars because of the limited selections but the staff is nice and they all do a good job. But try to make an appointment even if it's for the same day. They don't seem to like to keep people waiting so they will turn you away rather than let you wait. To avoid this, just call ahead to check for availability. read more

Went in for a pedicure- they left the callous remover on my feet too long and now my feet are covered with burns and scabs, it is incredibly painful. I told them it was hurting during the pedicure, but they were still slow to wash it off. I have never had anything like this happen to my feet before. My feet look horrible now, wearing shoes hurts like hell, and won't be able to wear sandals for a long time. I'm shocked that when they noticed the sores they caused they didn't say anything or even offer a band aid. I do not have any kind of skin issues or medical conditions that would explain this, it is 100% from their carelessness and rough treatment. read more

It was fine. My toenails look better now than they did when I walked in, so that's a good sign. This is NOT a boutique-y place at all, which I think a lot of Redlanders might have a hard time accepting. ;) But after living in LA for 6 years, I find the service and outcome par for the course. Could you get a better pedicure foot massage elsewhere? Yeah. Could you get a nicer massage chair? Yeah. (These ones were a little too massive for my small frame). But the nail polish was a good quality brand (OPI), and my toenails look nice. A basic pedicure is $18 and I posted a pic of the services+prices so you can see what you get for your dollar here. Bottom line: 2.5 stars for the whole process. Which means it's relatively inexpensive and my nails look fine. read more

This is a mom and pop shop who has been very careful with COVID regulations. They only have 3 people working and only have 3 chairs open for social distancing. They are kind and friendly. The most important thing is to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Even if it's same day or night before, call and see what times are open. Been coming here for over a decade. read more

I went to this place bc it's close to my house and it had 4 stars on Yelp. I M extremely disappointed that Yelp steered me wrong. I even brought a girlfriend with me to get a mani. I will not be returning for the reasons below: The manicurist was rude, and did a poor job on a simple mani. He picked his feet and read the classifieds while I waited for my gel nail removal, he did this right in front of me. He also picked his nose and didnt wash his hands. Ewww. He was very rough on my cuticle removal and I had to say "ouch" 3x bc he was so rough. My nails aren't even in length bc he did a poor job filing them. The paint job was terrible, it looked like my little sister painted it. When I asked him to smooth out the polish (bc it was uneven due to him having to repeatedly paint over an area that he kept missing), he said "the clear coat will fix that." not true. I do not recommend the service here at all. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

They have a very nice variety of colors; which is always my main concern! Many nail shops have outdated colors, and I look for more mauve, neutral colors, with the occasional bright color, lol! My mother and I have been frequent flyers at this nail spa for as long as it had been open, as we have family around the corner and could walk to the salon from their home. Over the years we have come and gone but this place has always been our go to. I came in for a gel manicure the Saturday before Christmas 12/23/17 and walked out with the worst manicure I've ever had in my life. I figured I'd come back after the holiday and have it fixed. This first picture was today 12/27/17 before coming in. You shouldn't be able to see the multiple layers of polish and there shouldn't be color all over my cuticle and skin. I went back in today to be told it wasn't a big deal and that just the way it is. That color being on the skin is okay and it was my nail growth that was the issue. It's been 4 days, come on. The fix is worse then the original color all over the skin and cuticle, but it's okay because "that's the way it will have to be". I will not be back. I love coming here because the staff are all so kind. It does get busy and my only critique would be that sometimes they aren't the best at quoting your wait time so plan ahead and make an appointment and you shouldn't have any problems. This place is just overall bad. Came in for manicure and it was terrible! The paint was OPI but i had clumps of paint on my nails, it was streaky and the edges of my nails were not painted. Another issue was the nasty lotion they put on, it was some type of lotion and they poured what seemed like vegetable oil on top of that and started rubbing it on my arm, after it dried it felt gross and dry. Also, to top everything off the towels they used seemed dirty, so it makes me question the cleanliness of their tools. I've never had such a terrible experience as i had here, I'm definitely not coming back. read more

I LIKE IT! I had a regular salon I went to for over 10 years, but she pissed me off in May, when she said Emily, I think you should come in every 3 weeks rather than every 2. I say why? 3 weeks is too long for me. Her response was well, its Prom season so I don't want you to wait. Um, I shouldn't HAVE to wait. I make appointments so I don't have to wait, and if you want stupid teenagers who are going to come in once a year compared to my standing appointments 2x a month, goodbye. Then went to another salon in Highland who yanked my acrylics off without even asking and were double the price and they burned my nail beds and I'd get cut every single time. I went like 3 times to see if it would get better. Hell no. After getting cut 2 weeks ago on EVERY SINGLE FINGER, I said enough. Went to this place today, and oh lordy. Talk about a difference. The people are so nice, my pedicure looks outstanding, and wait....whats this??? MY HANDS AREN'T CUT UP OR BURNED????? I received a gift certificate for this salon. My time was tight on this particular day so I arrived shortly before 9:00 hoping to beat the crowd. Another woman & I stood outside waiting until well after 9:00. When someone finally arrived with a key to let us in, I was the first person to sign in. The woman I was chatting with had an appointment, so understandably they would take her first. I was asked if I could wait. (Really???) I was told I would have to wait at least a half hour. What?!?!? This nail salon is really close to my house. I needed a pedicure so I decided to go here (I'm new to the area) I got there and they were going to be open in 10min so I waited. I really had to use the restroom but I figured I could wait 5 more min. Well 9am came around and no one opened the door. I called twice and I left a voicemail. It seemed like someone was there. I waited till 9:05 and I decided I wasn't going to wait any longer. As I was leaving a car pulled up beside me and it was the owner and a lady. I waited again but they took there time getting out of the car. I drove off and went to pretty nail. I called ahead of time to make sure they were open and they were. It was a pleasant experience! I got a gel manicure here about 4 months ago and it was my first time at this nail salon so I didn't know what to expect. I walked in and was greeted friendly by a woman and then she proceeded to tell me to pick my color and I waited about 5 minutes to be sat. It was a quick wait so I was happy. When a worker came up to do my nails it was a male who had just walked into the nail salon from his lunch, apparently. He came up to me still chewing something in his mouth and I said hello and gave a smile as he sat down. He just looked at me and asked what color I wanted. I was still hopeful that it was going to be a good experience since I've never had an issue at other nail salons in the past so I showed him my color and when he started to cut my nails he laughed since two of my nails were way shorter than the rest. My nails are very weak so they tend to break easily. He then proceeded to ask me where I went to school and what my job was and once I told him I was a waitress he kind of laughed at that. It was upsetting but I still stayed. He then told me I was very tall and I agreed and he looked at me and asked how much I weighed. I was uncomfortable and he told me how much he weighed and said it's because he eats a lot less and that I should do the same. I've always been insecure about my weight so to have that blatantly thrown in my face passive aggressively was hurtful. I love this place. The ladies here are always polite and they do a great job. I have gotten my nails done in many places and my manicures and pedicures have never lasted as long. Even when I got acrylics and cracked my nails, which was 100% my fault (I do hair so my hands are constantly in water and I'm not very careful with my nails) they were fixed for free! And I would expect a business to try and up-sell to their customers... It is still a business. I've simply say "No thank you" and get what I like. That is no reason to give this place a bad rating. I have only been here once and actually had my nails done, it was fine, nothing special. When I went to pay, I had a gift certificate that our bosses got us for teacher appreciation one year, the lady checking me out was irritated by it.... it's still money that someone paid you in advance, how are you irritated that someone is redeeming it? Also, I have tried to go there on 4 separate occasions, all very far apart from each other and every single time I come in someone asks, "can I help you?" in a tone as if I'm lost and wandered in off the street. Well, you are a nail place... I came to get my nails done. All 4 times they have said "oh sorry were busy right now....every single time I have looked around and I see a one to one ratio and no one waiting.... the first two times I was like ok maybe they have some appointments coming, but the last two times I was like "ok really?!!" You know how normally when your feet look a certain way the workers tend to speak their language and low and behold the workers all gather around? This was not the case everyone tended to their customers. The pricing was a bit on the expensive side, but then again most of the polish was OPI or Essie ... This use to be my "go to" nail salon. I even got my nails done here for my wedding. For $18 you get a very nice spa pedicure. Even though they are good at what they do here are the many problems with this nail salon (I hope the owner reads this so she can earn me back as a customer). -The first problem is only two of the workers know how to do manicures and fills. This means that when my mom and I go together she has to wait for someone to get done with a manicure. The rest of the 2-3 girls that are there are just sitting around because they only do pedicures. -The owner's children run around the shop. This is very unprofessional. -the worker's talk/ answer their phones (this has happened to me twice) as I was getting a pedicure -When I was checking out the owner's husband said "can you go to the bank and get cash for the tip?"
