I wasn't planning on posting anything, but honestly, I am VERY disappointed with my experience today. I went to get my nails done and left extremely upset with how everything turned out. First, I felt like the nail techs were rushing through the appointment. While removing my previous acrylic, my real nail was lifted/cut to the point that it started bleeding and burning. Even after the new acrylic was applied, my finger was still hurting. I showed the nail tech a picture of exactly what I wanted, including the shape, color, and design. Unfortunately, my nails came out looking nothing like the picture. The shape was wrong, the color was completely different, and the white tip was not done the way I specifically requested. One person did my nails while another person painted them. I showed the second nail tech the colors I wanted and explained exactly how I wanted the white tip. She attempted the tip several times, but it continued to come out differently than what I had asked for. Eventually, I got so frustrated that I just told her, "Just leave it like that." At that point, I had to explain to both nail techs that this was not what I had asked for and also address how much my finger was hurting from my real nail being lifted/cut. I was simply told, "Sorry," and was offered to pay half of the price, which was $25. Honestly, I feel like I shouldn't have had to pay anything, considering the experience and the condition of my finger. However, I still paid the $25. I'm not someone who likes to complain or post negative reviews, but I feel like customers deserve to get what they ask for--especially when they provide a picture beforehand. As you can see in the last picture, what I wanted and what I actually received are completely different. Unfortunately, I will not be returning. I've noticed they always seem to be in such a rush, and today was enough for me. Very disappointed with the entire experience. The last picture is what I asked for!!! I won't be coming back here ever again. I called a day in advance and asked if I could get an appointment for the next day. The woman who answered said no problem, tomorrow at 2pm. So I show up at 2pm the next day at the same time as 3 other women who were walk-ins. All 3 of them were seated and immediately taken care of while I waited. I waited for 45 minutes before somebody sat down with me and asked what I wanted. There's a lot of competition from nail salons in Yucaipa and Happiness is one of the best arising Oak Glen and Yucaipa Blvd.There's 8 manicure and 8 pedicure massage seats so there's also usually openings for walk-ins. They do waxing too and a few other treatments in the private room in the back. Prices are a couple of dollars cheaper than the competition across Yucaipa Blvd but there's a less extensive set of colors and brands. Happiness isn't trying to be a swanky spa - it's functional, soothing and clean. No more no less. Staff are not continually talking to you or each other which some will like and others hate. I like to relax and enjoy; so less is more in the conversation department for me. The lower leg massage is one of the best I've ever had - probably l because I have soft feet So I don't need the callous treatment and they spent extra time on my feet and calves. Some of the controls for the massage seats don't show the functions properly but they all work. The massage they give is better than average without pushing you out of your seat. I like the range of pedicure treatments on offer and importantly they use new sanding blocks and files each time. read more

The place was clean and quiet- functional but not spa like. My nail tech talked casually with me but let me sit and relax quietly for most of the manicure and the employees didn't talk to each other- this was exactly what I was hoping for after a long day at work. My mani cost me $33 including a broken nail, gel manicure, and a nice tip. While I was there I overheard someone else complaining about her manicure, however. I waited 29 min until I asked how much longer until I get attended and they tell me another 30 min!!! I told the lady i had to leave at 12pm and she just laughed. Contrary to the other reviews, my equipment was sanitized and opened directly from the autoclaved sealed packs. The service was friendly, pricing was comparable to other places in the city and surrounding areas and my mani/pedi lasted as long as it typically does when I have gotten them done elsewhere. I'd return there to have them done again. *If you're looking for a 4 star salon, all of these local places are not going to fulfill your requirements. You need to go to an upscale true "salon" to find that. My experience in this salon was horrible. I asked for a gel manicure, one solid color no design. Nothing too complicated. Unfortunately I walked out with my nails looking like i did them myself with my left hand. She took forver doing my nails (maybe it was her first time doing gel..idk) and then told me that she was tired of doing my nail. To where she literally just stoped, turned off the light and said well there you go... I ended up having the use her tool to get all the excess glue out of my nails and cuticle myself. There are parts of my nails that are not cover in polish, parts of my finger that are. Also, usually when you get a mani they lotion your hand up and give you a lil massage... I got none of that. I got sh*tty attitude and service. i asked them to fix it, they told me to just wait and that they'll reshape them.... that's not what i need. I had to pay 23$ for a mess. Do I have to give it one star? Completely unprofessional I have a tight schedule and that's why I make appointments! I have been going to this location for almost a year and on several appointments I waited over half an hour and couldn't even be seen for my manicure so I could get back to work. I completely wasted my time. That's what an appointment is for! I've shared my experience with coworkers and learned that they have done the same thing to them even putting them in a pedicure chair and letting them soak for over 40 minutes till the water was cold and they never got their pedicure...they had to leave as well.
