In town getting my nails done, the guy doing my nails is really nice. (It appears as though he's the boss because he's answering the phone calls that come in) What I appreciate is that I expressed to him that I wanted a thin dip type of vibe on my nails, and he said that the dip they have is the thicker type and that I would be better off doing gel. I'm mentioning this because in the past with most nail shops they'll quickly jump and say yes, I can make it thin and then you're upset because it's not what they said it would be. I really appreciate him listening to my needs, and being upfront about not being able to meet that need. A lot of nail shops dont do that, and then that's when you have the whole disgruntled customer situation. Furthermore, it's super clean in here too which I'm super big on. 5 stars for me Love to see business thriving during this panoramic. Also I called a few hours ago for this appt, and he took me. Super grateful for that as well. Will come again when I'm in the area. Side note : I think from now on, I'm going to have men do my pedicures. This was probably the best pedicure I've had in a while. I recently moved to Yucaipa from the valley and I am looking for a local place to do my nails. I stopped by VIP nail bar during a car wash and had my pedicure done. I've struggled in my decision to make this post because the gentleman doing my pedicure was really nice but I was so disappointed by the service. I didn't feel like I got what was described in the options of pedicures, he didn't clean my cuticles properly and didn't do the massage. And the nail painting was the worst I ever had. Horrible dip nail service !! Not only did my mail tech not really file my nails ahead of time left this glue all over my hand. She was starting my nails and from the beginning she was sloppy. My end product I had to ask her to do something the tip on my fingernails were stuck. I ended up telling her no design. Don't need to spend more money on horrible service. I went to VIP to celebrate my birthday on March 30 by getting a manicure and a pedicure. The woman who gave me both was very nice. The manager or owner of the shop, I'm not sure what his position was other than he organized and seemed to be in charge of the shop. I guess the woman doing my pedicure and was now working on my manicure was running behind so he also worked on my nails. He was a little rough with my hand as he held it while sitting in a chair beside me. The woman must have cut my thumb and index finger cuticles too short because they were very red, and swollen after my manicure and my pedicure were done. i paid them both a good tip and I was very pleasant during their work. Afterwards my index finger was very swollen at the cuticle and was very red. I went to a doctor who put me on antibiotics as it looked infected and was very sore to touch, but two courses of antibiotics didn't help. Because it was a Nail salon the doctor then put me on a course of anti fungal medication which also didn't help. The cuticles on both fingers remained red and swollen. I went out of town as I was moving and did not contact the manager of the shop. I also felt like he would not have been helpful. Unfortunately my nails grew in distorted, misshaped and are both lifting from the nail bed. I have taken photos and would like to share them but do not see a place to upload them. My nails have grown in AWFUL!! I am very upset! I feel they did not take care of my nails and cut them far too much at the cuticle and distorted the nail bed at the matrix where the nail initiates growth. I thought they were professional enough to recognize that they had made a mistake and to tell me how to take care of them but I was very wrong! My nails are so ugly that I can't stand looking at them and have decided to get acrylic nails until by nails grow out. Thank you for reading. Honestly, my entire experience was bad. The owner (I'm assuming) did my nails. I made an appointment over the phone for a soak off and gel manicure, but he didn't soak my nails off, he drilled the product off and filed my nails pretty thin. I had to ask to get my nails reshaped 3 times because they were all crooked. Then after he tells me he won't do gel on my nails because they're too thin, so I start looking at regular polishes. The display nails are covered in tape so the colors are hard to see, so I asked him if I could see the colors and he got irritated with me. When I asked for a price for gel at first he said $50, then regular he said $40, but then when I wanted no color at all and just the soak off, he said $35!! But then he said the $35 includes color and he can't charge me less for no color?? So I ended up getting black. He wouldn't wait for my nails to dry and wanted to get my wallet out of my pocket for me, but I declined and told him I'll wait. He pat my nails dry quickly and rushed me out the door- just for me to realize they got messed up when pat dry. Overall very irritated with his attitude the entire time, the price changes, & the quality of my nails. Will be getting them redone and fixed somewhere else tomorrow :( took an hour and 40 mins for a regular manicure. read more

Well the two stars is for the paint job because that was good! Most basic pedicure I've ever gotten. Not sure when it became a thing to only do a massage for 2 mins and no foot soak but that must be normal for them. Basic pedicure. $27.00 Gel 13.00 French tip 5.00 Charge for credit card 2.00 Left in less than 30 mins... and spent 47.00. The best part of getting a pedicure is to relax in a comfy chair and soak your feet with a massage. Yes you can pay more for more of a massage but 2 mins.. really!! This wasn't relaxing at all... I felt like they were trying to move me in and out as quickly as possible even though no one was waiting. Won't be back since I feel like they just care about the bottom dollar and not the customer. read more

I walked in, no appointment, but was able to get a pedicure. Tammy was my technician.... She showed me the specials and explained extra costs before ever starting, I appreciate knowing ahead of time. She had me sit, made sure water was comfortable, had me choose a color, then started. She cut down my nails after asking first, then proceeded to give me an excellent pedicure. I recently gave Lin at VIP Nail Bar a 5 star review because she does an Excellent pedicure. Unfortunately, the last time I went back I didn't have an appointment and it was going to be an hour so I made an appointment for the next day. I showed up on time only to be asked to be seated and wait. I looked over to what Lin was doing and she just started clipping nails on a pedicure. I waited for 30 minutes and the manager never acknowledged me again, in fact he would even look my way. I got up walked over to him and asked him if he was the owner or manager and he said manager. I asked why he took the walk before me and he said because people get mad or leave if they have to wait. Really!?Isn't it worse for an appointment to have to wait over a walk in? Again, I was right on time. I asked him to show me his appointment book and he didn't have one! He got very upset with me even though I was just asking questions and said I didn't have to get my pedicures there. Too bad because Lin is really good if I could just get in with her . Because of the manager (don't know his name but he's the only one) I will not be returning there. I do not know her name I just know she usually sits in the far left back corner. I'm 33 years old and I have never had a problem taking my acrylics off but she did it to where the acrylic is so meshed with my real nail that the top layer of my real nail is coming off with the acrylic .. I've never experienced this before only when she does my nails. I use to love it here but that one lady really ruined it for me. How ever I won't be returning, even if I am desperate. They drill your nail down too low. My nails and cuticles were sore for a few days after. My gel nails also started to lift 1 week after. Also, it felt like a sweat shop in there. There were females working and one male manager working. The male manager kept walking around asking each client, my self included, what service they were having done. He asked me three times. It was like he was totaling up everything in his head lol. Lastly, for my gel nails I asked for a white and when the lady did the first coat she showed it to me and asked if it was ok. I asked if they had another white or if I could choose another color because I in fact did not care for the white. She told me she needed to do 3 coats and there wasn't another color available. I've gone here almost 8 years and thought it was the best nail salon until my last visit. Made my appointment as usual for 12:00 and arrived 10 minutes early to find my manicurist doing a full set on a walk in. I'm pretty flexible but I had to wait 30 minutes with no apologies for the wait. She proceeded to do my gel manicure and did a horrible job. She's now behind her schedule, so my nails looked like crap. The final straw was when I paid with my card, I was told, no tip on card! They're one if the only nail salons open, working in the heat 10 hours a day. They had so much bussines, phone was ringing every 3-5 minutes. Jenny charged me $75 for a full set with designs, which were literally just some lines and a few hearts, and the whole set looks like it was done by an actual child. The acrylic itself is also extremely lumpy rather than smooth like it's supposed to be. I've never been so unsatisfied and unimpressed by a nail salon like this.
