Tried their crème brûlée mill tea and their grape sparkling tea. Both had the right amount of sweetness and i like how they used real grapes. They put a decent amount in it as well.

Osmanthus Cloud Milk Tea

Came here after eating lunch in the plaza. There are like a million boba shops in the plaza so it's hard to choose where to go. We ordered online to get it faster but it was a decently sized order so it still took some waiting before we got our drinks. The vibes were okay. It's right next to a college so I assume there are quite a bit of students that go there after class. I'm not sure if the store is trying to save money either but it was pretty warm inside. It didn't feel like the ac was on so we waited outside where it was much cooler. I ordered the Osmanthus Oolong cloud and it tasted great. There were some bits in there that gave it some texture which I love. It definitely has a unique taste to it which is why I'm more drawn to coming here compared to other places. I've tried their mango sago drink before too and that's probably my favorite. I'd come here again if I were in the area!

Special Boba Milk Tea

This was one of the worst boba place we've been to. It used to be really good, but has definitely gone downhill. Ordered the Burnt Brulee Boba Milk Tea & Burnt-Brown Sugar Boba Tea. Both drinks tasted really funky and had a weird flavor, like expired milk or so. We ended up tossing them away cuz it made our stomach upset. Service wasn't great either. Felt ignored when we arrive and took a while for our drinks to be made.

This place does not serve what you actually order. I ordered shrimp balls with my oden, but instead received pink, artificially colored leftover balls, falsely labeled as shrimp balls. This is misleading, unacceptable, and deceptive. Customers should be aware that the food does not match the menu description.

We're usually big fans of BenGong's, and we ordered our usual: 2 peach oolong milk teas (light ice, half sugar), 1 with 25% sugar, and a fruit green tea. But this time, the peach oolong milk tea had a noticeably sour taste--not the usual smooth and refreshing flavor we're used to. Not sure if it was the tea base or the milk, but it threw us off a bit. The fruit green tea was still nice and fresh, but overall, this visit didn't quite hit the mark. Hoping it was just a one-off, because we've had much better from here before!

Probably the smallest "Regular" size I've ever received at any tea shop... anywhere.

Went into the store to order a snack since I'd seen the poster out front, but there was no indication of how to order them once inside. When I went in, someone (Worker A) was headed to the back and let someone in the kitchen (Worker B) know that there was a person out front (me). I waited there for about 4 minutes and heard a really loud "I JUST LOST 300$". Worker A came out from the back and reminded Worker B that I was still out front. B came out, I picked out a drink, regular size, since I didn't want a wasted trip. I paid, and as I turned away, I hear B ask A something like, "Dude, do we sell boba?" Mind you, I just paid like 7$ for a boba tea. Obviously these two were joking around, but it left a bad feeling in my chest as I sat to wait for my drink. When I received it, I felt a little shocked. For the price, regular size looks like a small, or even a mini. It was about 5 inches tall. The drink was fine, nothing to write home about. However, I don't think I'll be coming back.

The aesthetic of this place is reason enough to stop by. The service will convince you to order, cause from the minute you walk in, you are welcome with a smile. The FLAVOR of this Peach Milk Tea will turn you into a fan. I want to say this is one of the best, IF NOT the best one I've had in the entire SGV area. This is by far a fave summer rec of mine. Prices are still reasonable, and the place usually has plenty of parking. Located in a busy school area this is your stop for a quick afternoon boba tea break.

Passion Fruit Yakult Tea

Small boba shop located across Mt. SAC. A ton of different drink options, all of which are pretty good. I tried the passion fruit yakult, and while I wouldn't try it again - my friend's tiramisu drink was way better. Staff are friendly, and drinks come out quick. It's a quiet place to hangout and chill with friends. Parking can get kind of atrocious in this plaza.

Come for the wishing tree at BenGong's Tea - Walnut, but don't expect too much from their drinks. My niece and I came here to hang out and chat, and to make wishes. There are a few tables and a sofa to hang out around. Service was pretty unfriendly and we felt rushed even when there was no one behind us. My niece ordered their Passion Fruit Super Fruit Cup ($6.50) 50% sweet and I ordered a Strawberry Yakult Tea ($6.50) 75% sweet. You will have to ask for the wishing paper when you order because they keep it behind the counter. The yarn, scissors and pens are by the tree. The drinks were made pretty slow cause we had time to think about our wishes, write them out, and hang them up before the drinks were done. When we got them it looked so refreshing but it tasted so bad. My niece was saying how her fruit was albino with no color and sadly stale. It took away from the drink and would have been better off with just the tea. Also there was so much fruit, it took up a lot of the volume of the cup. I typically like strawberry yakult drinks from other tea houses but this was bitter and still sweet even though I reduced the sweetness. It was nice to try and I really like their wishing tree... but the drinks are not giving me a reason to come back.

Starting off, I love the amount of options on the menu. My friend and I ordered the strawberry cheese slush and it was good. I also tried the taro milk slush another time and it was delightful. There's comfortable seating here, I love that the chairs are comfortable to sit in and there's plenty of space on the table if you want to sit here and do work. I've been here twice already and the service is friendly, but has been slow both times considering there weren't many people in the store.

Chun C.

First time here today and glad so we found this place. We got 3 drinks 1) burnt milk time with boba 2)passion fruit cup tea 3) sesame milk slush. About $6-7 each. All 3 drinks tasted great. We got 50% sweetness on all 3 drinks and they were perfect. The boba were soft and chewy with the right sweetness as well. I was most impressed by the burnt milk tea. The tea itself had a subtle nutty aroma. It is a nice upgrade to a standard black milk tea. The service was great. Friendly and quick to answer any questions about the drinks. The ambiance is trendy but not over the top. What stands out was an installation of a wishing tree where you and personalized your message on note card and stationary provided. Overall, we had a great experience and look forward to try out other drinks on the menu.

There were plenty of parking as it's in a shared plaza. For the store, it's a moderate size but it was definitely busy at the time we went. For ordering, you'll need to order at the counter before sitting down. After browsing the menu, we decided on the pink vodka pasta and the rich miso pasta (Taiwanese sausage added). American Express is accepted as a payment option. The staff gave us a number to place on the table we sat at but we were free to grab any seat we liked. For seating, there were a few tables for parties of two and limited tables for bigger groups. Keep in mind if you need water or extra napkins, they'll have those near the bar seating. Both the Pink Vodka Pasta and Rich Miso Pasta exceeded our expectations! The miso pasta leans on the creamy side but pairs very well with the pink vodka pasta. The miso pasta didn't come with any protein by default, so we were glad that we added the Taiwanese sausage. Fun fact is that the meatball from the Pink Vodka Pasta is vegan! The portion size was super generous from both dishes and was beyond just two people. I wasn't expecting to discover pasta dishes that I'd consider as one of my favorites from this visit! I'll definitely come back to try other dishes.

I usually hit their San Marino spot, but this location still delivered the goods. The shop's a bit small inside, but service was nice. Grabbed my ride-or-die Koan-Im Oolong Latte and paired it with a donut from my favorite donut shop like I was assembling the perfect duo for a late night snack. The tea was lightly sweetened perfectly to my liking, smooth, and clearly crafted by someone who respects tea leaves more than I respect my sleep schedule. The cloud top was basically dalgona candy foam and felt like a bonus dessert after finishing the drink. Even with a lot of people waiing, service moved fast, in & out in about 7 mins. Quality tea, speedy service, and enough creamy foam happiness to make a milestone review feel deserved!! Highly recommend!!! Now for some poetry that's inspired my 1000th review: Warm glazed memories sift through my reverie. A pink box opened in the summer of 24. Days were bleak and hollow like a bakery shelf at closing. I saw the saddest eyes, soft as powdered sugar falling. Sweet like a dalgona cloud top koan-im oolong latte, but carrying a quiet ache no frosting could hide. That summer you saved me, like the first bite of something new when you thought you'd forgotten what butterflies felt like. The season changed and you suddenly disappeared.... just an empty pink box on the counter. Only crumbs remain now, where your strawberry-glazed humor used to melt into every moment like sugar on warm dough. My heart split like a jelly donut. Still, I'm grateful as the world is as it should be. I pass by the donut shop on 66 and smile. People think it's just about donuts. But once.... a long time ago, one saved my life. I'd say the baristas kind of keep to themselves though and aren't overly enthusiastic. But overall, still welcoming & nice! The atmosphere is simple with wood seating areas. I like it. However sitting for a long duration can be a little uncomfortable since there's not much back support, but luckily they have a basket with padded pillows to sit on. Recently they added tables along the corner nook area which is great! Aside from that they have little tray-like table tops to set your drinks on or laptops/books/etc; while working. There's also plenty of outlets which is a plus. Not to mention they always seem to have a good playlist goin' :) Oh! & they have outside seating as well underneath shaded umbrellas. My only complaint is it gets really hot in there during the hotter months. Especially since they're facing south and catch all the direct light early on in the day. Don't get me wrong, I love the natural lighting! It's just more prone to getting hotter & I'm not sure if they have A/C. I'm sure they probably do but it's never been exactly cold in there like most coffee shops, mainly room temperature. All in all Grid is a great spot! I highly recommend :)
