I love that this place has vegan options but unfortunately they weren't the greatest, especially for the price! We looked at the menu online and if the prices were listed we would've steered clear. We got a 10 inch pizza for $25!! I believe the salad was around $15, wasn't blown away by either. While the taste of the pizza was okay, there was hardly any of the "extra" toppings on it - each of which cost $3.50. So the total cost of a medium pizza was almost $30 and we could have gotten similar result from frozen pizza at grocery store for less than $10. Won't order there again. read more

Damn good pie! We were all set to go to Pizza Mondo and when I call in my order I am told it would be an hour before we can pick it up. First night of vacation and grandpa is buying pizza for our family of 13, we did not have an hour to burn. We phone Bend Pizza Kitchen and they said they would have it ready in 30 minutes - sold! Since we had some items to pick up at Safeway we arrived at BPK around the 30 minute promissed time. Pizza is ready and we head back to the vacation home in Sunriver. OMG the pies smell great. My 5 year old grandson wants to open the boxes and start in but we convince him to wait and now has to smell the enticing aromas of Italian herbs and spices all the way home. We ordered a large cheese, large Manhattan and a large Molto Carne. The large is 18 inches and if you cut the slices thinner it goes a long way. Everybody, young and old enjoyed the pies. I hate to give this review but the value and taste was not there. Coming from Seattle, I am no stranger to pricey pizza. But $40 for a large definitely made me look twice, but I figured give it a shot, this place is close to our new home and I appreciate the organic ingredients We had the Tumalo Falls pizza and my husband and I both immediately remarked how flavorless it was. It tasted like a plain cheese pizza, barely any sauce, hardly any toppings. However, our 5 year old picky eater loved it due to the lack of flavor and sauce... so at least the leftovers won't go to waste. Came to Bend Pizza Kitchen on a work meeting and it ended up being the perfect place. It was quiet when we got there but the atmosphere ramped up by 6:30. The decor is great and very homey. My colleague had been wanted to try it and new the Chicago style pizzas took extra time so we called ahead with our order. The pizza did take about 35 minutes so that's definitely a good move, you can order and beer and hang out while you wait for your pizza to be delivered to the table. The pizza itself was delicious, as mentioned we got Chicago style, it has great flavor and the sauce had a slightly sweet taste that was awesome. Our friends from Bend raved about this new, gourmet pizza place, the Bend Pizza Kitchen. So, on our way home from Bend we bought a couple large Take-and-Bake pizzas to take with us to Ashland. Wow, these pizzas were incredible! Ashland has nothing that compares to this pizza! My favorite was the Mt. Bachelor - caramelized onions, roasted walnuts, and mozzarella. They even gave us fresh arugula (they said it was organic arugula) to throw on the top after we baked it. I felt like I was getting a side salad without ordering one! The balsamic reduction that they included on the side was also an unexpected, yummy touch. My husband insisted on getting the Manhattan. I'm not a big pepperoni fan, so this pizza scored lower than the Mt. Bachelor in my humble opinion. BUT, my husband loved it! I avoided the pepperoni and focused on the yummy ricotta cheese. The Italian sausage was also quite tasty, and they told us that the sausage is locally sourced? That's cool. My one disappointment is that the LARGE Take-and-Bake did not fit in my standard-sized oven. It folded-over at once edge about 4-6 inches. If I were ordering Take-and-Bake, I'd stick with a MEDIUM size. Also, they told me to cook the pizza at 500 degrees, but it cooked better at 450 degrees on convection oven - middle rack. Gluten free dairy free pizza doesn't sound great to most...even to those who don't have much choice(me), but Bend Pizza was able to blow me completely away with their gluten free/dairy free pizza. I've never posted a review before. However, thanks to this day and age, here we are. I recently went to bpk and had one of the best interactions I've had since living in Central Oregon. The food was delicious and the service was amazing. It was my birthday and my wife and kids were out of town, of course I had to treat myself. Ashley gave not just me, but every customer there incredible service. It was a busy night and she was running around, still checking in with everyone, myself included. I grabbed the owners business card next to the register and tried calling them this morning, however they are closed this weekend due to "staff appreciation weekend"... amazing! This business is clearly doing something right, and they will be receiving my business for many years to come. Thank you Ashley and thank you to the "Made with Love" pizza chef. Just wow! So amazing to eat in a place that actually cares about what should be most important at all restaurants: great customer service and only the highest quality local/organic ingredients. We love BPK! We had dinner in the park with visiting family the other night and ordered a large cheese, large pepperoni, and large Mt. Bachelor. They were all delicious and there were only a few slices left to take home for lunch the next day. The adults also liked the Pistachio salad and how generous the toppings were, with the honey mustard dressing on the side. It was a great dinner! We've also had the deep dish Chicago style pizza in the past, and it was tasty and very authentic. I appreciate how easy it is to order online. At first I was hesitant about their vegan pizza as other reviews on here stated that it was bland/lacking in flavor and texture but it was the only place open so order I did... I am here to tell you that those reviews (IMO) were way off. THEIR VEGAN PIZZA WAS THE BEST VEGAN PIZZA I HAVE EVER EATEN. I got the vegan veggie classic and we also got a make your own vegan pizza and both were delicious. The ingredients were super fresh and the dough was to die for. Their vegan cheesy bread was also amazing!!! We also ordered 3 other custom meat pizzas for the rest of my family and they also agree it was some of THE BEST pizza they have ever had! Maybe we hit BPK on an off night - our neighbors suggested we try their pies - but the pizza was the worst I've had in memory. The pepperoni exuded grease, the cheese was undercooked and clumpy, and the crust tasted faintly of garlic powder. We ate on the patio so the pepperoni, sausage, and olive pie was fresh and not suffering from a short trip home. Honestly, we couldn't taste the sausage and olives through the grease and cheese. No complaints about the sauce and the crust was slightly chewy with a bit of crunch at the edges. At some point we'll give BPK another shot but we're disappointed with our first experience. A $35 pie should deliver and, sadly, what we had did not. read more

We had a little trouble finding this place even using a gps because the sign states BPK rather than the full name. So be aware of that. There is limited parking on the street but also a decent sized parking lot behind the building. Not a super fancy place but clean and comfortable. You figure out what you want and then go up to the counter to order food and beer. They offer a separate huge vegan menu!!! Two of us wanted to order the meatball sandwich but they stop serving hot sandwiches at 4pm. Will have to come back before 4 to try them. We each ordered a pizza. I ordered the Pesto-Cini Pollo which had pesto sauce, mozzarella, roasted chicken, artichoke hearts, pepperoncini, carmelized onions, and sun-dried tomatoes - it was DELICIOUS!!! I can't remember what my husband and friend ordered but they said they were also delicious.
