Where else can you get local organic food at a restaurant? Absolutely fantastic food! Creative, great-tasting and not expensive. It is a popular place, so be aware that it is generally packed and loud. I prefer to sit in their outdoor section. read more

Lord I love this place. Everything is amazing. Everything. And super quick casual service. Oh and it's 2 blocks from my house!! :)

Th Turkey lettuce wraps were delicious. Very fulfilling, yet healthy. Will definitely order that again next time!

I had mild food poisoning from the night before and while I was hungry nothing sounded good. I talked to the manager and he had the kitchen make me a light veggie stir fry and I actually left feeling better. I always love the food here but today they went above and beyond. Thanks read more

Very yummy! I went here today for lunch with my co workers. Seating was a bit hectic due to lunch hour rush but the service was great and the food was delicious. I had the almond coated chicken salad. Fantastic. I am in love with their house made pickles, they are everything! I will definitely be returning to try other items on their menu. read more

This place is less than 5 minutes from my house. The parking can get a little crazy since it tends to get busy but you can park on the left of their building. I have been there twice and can't get enough of the chicken grilled sandwich. Worth the extra money and the customer service is great. Will be back and I'll make sure to bring a new person with me every time. read more

Good food! I love that they have gluten free options. I took away one star due to this place being a little overpriced and very cramped.

I've enjoyed everything I've ordered here. Little pricey but worth it.

This was my first trip to Ruggles Green but definitely not my last. I really wasn't a fan of having to look over the menu as I walked in before we came to the register but no big deal. I asked the cashier for a recommendation and he said "you will definitely like the bread pudding" but I was wanted to start an entrée and he suggested a few things. I started with the shrimp tacos and the bread pudding for dessert. The Shrimp tacos come with for corn tortillas and the sauce that it comes with is a perfect addition. If there were two more corn tortillas it would easily make a six taco meal. When I was done with tacos the bread pudding came in the presentation was extra nice but the flavor was life-changing. If it had not come with more than one spoon I wouldn't have shared with my lunch companion, I would have been a glutton and scarfed it down by myself. The meal came to just over $21 and was well worth it. read more

Love their pizzas, grilled chicken sandwich and grilled chicken caesar wrap! Sweet potato fries are great. I always ask them to make mine crispy. They are absolutely AMAZING! read more

I've been eating at Ruggles Green for years, but I only recently tried the Tres Leches from here. It is so delicious! Plus it is huge and lasts me two days, which is just more bang for my buck, considering it's like $8! I love Tres Leches, and this honestly ranks as one of my top. read more

Love everything about Ruggles Green. We had rheir curry chicken salad (which was huge), the quinoa mac n cheese, the turkey lettuce wraps and the roasted cauliflower... EPIC healthy food. I will definitely be back. read more

Veggie wrap and Cuban pork panini were very good. Kale salad is alright. Less choices of pickled veggies than some of the other locations.

I don't think I've ever had a bad meal here. Ruggles Green has become our default go-to place for a healthy lunch or dinner, a little unhealthier if you indulge in their ah-mazing bread pudding!!! Last night I got the ceasar salad and added grilled chicken, while my boyfriend got the goat-cheese arugula salad, both were delicious. I'd highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Order was wrong, replacement took too long to cook...understaffed overcrowded and the food was bland

Wow, great food. Awesome service, delicious food. You can't go wrong. For 2 to dine $35.00 read more

My daughter and I came for brunch. I had a mimosa and my breakfast waa finger licking good. Liked the atmosphere. The only thing that sucked was the parking. read more

It seems they have new owners....a capital investment firm. Vegan/GF cake is gone. The fact they had deserts my wife could eat was one of the main reasons we would come here -- so many places have vegan main options, but forget the desert. Oh well...but worrisome about other changes that may be coming. Sounds driven by the bottom line and expansion/franchising needs, as we overheard some discussion about employee hours being cut too. Other food was fine but more "meh" than usual for the price. You could tell the folks working there are losing the personal passion for what they do. Truly hope it will all work out. We love this place. But...guess its getting "streamlined"... read more

We come here a lot because the food is good and it's close to home. Don't try to complain about anything or return something, because the management gives you a hard time and treats you like you're lying. read more

I was really glad when this place opened up as I'm a huge fan of the one on W. Alabama St and this place is really close to my house. The food here is as tasty as the other one but i feel like they give you a little less fries with the burgers and sandwiches. It might be a bit hard to find parking sometimes since it seems like they only have one parking lot but upon driving a little bit further, I noticed that they have a couple of parking lots for their guests. I usually get the grilled chicken sandwich and the turkey burger. The portions are great and very filling. The one thing I love about Ruggles is that they give you baked sweet potato fries if you ask them. I love sweet potato fries!! The only dessert I've tried is the Hemp Brownie. It comes with a berry compote on the bottom and ice cream on the top. I thought it was really tasty but quite rich and filling. I couldn't finish mine, maybe cuz I had already eaten a lot. They recently introduced a weekend brunch menu which I am really looking forward to trying that. read more

Great service and good quality and organic options and on top of that delicious ... !

I went there for lunch Saturday and ended up getting a stomach virus that night and the next day. I got the veggie nut burger I thought it was ok. I couldn't sleep and I was throwing up the food that Saturday night and woke up with a fever the next day. I felt without energy and a very dry mouth along with a stomach and head ache. I won't be back there read more

The food was a little bit of a let down. Their website advertises the best sweet potato fries in Houston...I definitely hope that was untrue. The fries weren't hot, and didn't have much taste. If you enjoy plain sweet potato (which I do), then you will find these OK, but I don't go out to eat for OK foods. I also got the spicy chicken tacos...which while the ingredients were fresh, lacked taste. So in summation, my lunch was $15-20 and merely OK. I am going to give the place another shot because by the menu the food sounds amazing. Maybe it was just an off day? Let's hope so. read more

Delicious breakfast! Huevos rancheros were absolutely perfect! My husband had eggs florentine and loved it, thought the spinach was especially good (and he doesn't usually appreciate vegetables.) Both came with good old scalloped potatoes, which I hadn't had for probably a decade. Soooooo good!! Can't wait to try their non-breakfast menu. read more

They have really good spicy fish tacos that are worth every bite. I highly recommend you give them a try!!!

The food is good. They have an open patio and will not allow any pets. Every place in the Heights has an open patio policy. I came with my very small conure. No one was on the patio at the time. I am not sure if they have cameras looming overhead or drones. They said I couldn't have my bird in the area. There are many patio places that welcome our feather or furry companions. So what do I do when the people next to me are drunk and obnoxious. They have a free "get out of jail" card I suppose. So so long Ruggles Green. Johnny didn't like the crackers anyway. read more

Ruggles Green is by far the best overall lunch/dinner place in Houston. Good quality, fresh food and variety! Best sweet potato fries too! *ask for them baked, just as good! read more

OMG! The BEST gluten free cake and pasta dishes I have EVER had. Pricey, but SO worth it! These guys need to sell a recipe book darnit!

Full disclosure... I was concerned about paying $18 for a salad to-go (added grilled chicken to the honey goat cheese arugula salad)... But it was worth it! Huge portion and delicious. Plus it was ready in only a few minutes. Great spot for dine-in or take-out! read more

Get the Dale's pizza!!!! So delicious! I also like the goat cheese salad, the fried goat cheese salad, and the mahi mahi tacos.

We went for dinner on Halloween and the staff was friendly and helpful. I had the burger and it was wonderful. I ate every bite. We also had the brownie and it was also very good. This would be a good place for a couple on a date or a family. The neighbor was was nice and we saw several folks walking around outside trick-r-treating. read more

Ruggles Green sounds like a Muppets character to me...a very tasty, well balanced Muppets character... I was in Houston on business and my branch manager added Ruggles as a part of his list of options for lunch. We picked it because it sounded interesting. The spot is nice but casual with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered 2 apps for our table of 6 and the fried arugula and goat cheese salad. I added blackened chicken. My only complaint was the chicken was a little dry. That's it. Everything else was spot on. The salad was amazing. The hummus was tasty and the spinach dip hit the spot. The service was exceptional. I'm still full from my lunch even after driving back to Austin. Amazing stuff Ruggles, you cute little hairy muppet... read more

We landed at the Houston airport, and immediately started looking for a good lunch spot that wasn't greasy food or a chain. This place is amazing! I had the Goat Cheese Arugula Salad, which was one of the best salads I've ever had. The mango was a great touch and the goat cheese was perfect. Husband had the Chicken Caesar Wrap. We'd love to try every item on the menu! read more

Delicious food. Highly recommend the spinach dip and the goat cheese salad. We were very pleased!

very very poor service, we had a big party. and all food was switched and passed from one hand to the next.. i am very disappointed in the food and service.....i ordered a omelet and i didnt see egg or cheese loaded with chopped bacon.... the kids meal i ordered had sausage when i ordered bacon, so they simply took sausage off the plate, and i waited a hr for bacon while pancakes gt cold.. simply a bad day...bad food and service..... read more

Have been three times now. Went a couple of times for lunch. Salads were excellent. Looked at the menu and wanted to come again. Went Friday night to celebrate my sons 20th birthday. He wanted to go to a cool restaurant in the Heights. Ordered calamari as an appetizer. It was absolutely tasteless and not nearly the portion I thought should be served for the price. Three of us ordered the grilled salmon pasta. It sounds so good on the menu but was so laden with salt and was not as freshly grilled as you would expect. Wine by the glass was also pricey for the portion. Great concept but need to deliver read more

I really enjoyed the Burrito here. The chicken was cooked just right and it had a delightful sweet sauce on it. I had tacos to go and the taste clean but authentic. I really liked what they did with the inside of the building. The workers were attentive. The price was more than fast food but reasonable for what you get. read more

I love the salads, pizza, and desserts :)! Awesome food and great customer service

Went for a quick bite and got the buffalo burger with sweet potato fries. I thought it was great. Taste was good, portion size was good, and food came quickly. Sat outside and it was quite relaxing. I will definitely return. read more
