lots of seating

New cafe in Buena Park with lots of seating inside. Their tangerine matcha has tangerine puree and tangerine cream. I got it without the puree, and the drink was sufficiently sweet with the cream top. If you like sweeter matchas, I'd recommend keeping the puree as the matcha is unsweetened. A couple things to note: compared to the promo photos, you get a lot less cream top. It didn't even cover the top; it was more like a drizzle in the center. Also, they charge sales tax/credit card fee on the drink, so the menu price was $7.50 total ended up being something like $8.20.

Cute cafe with plenty of tables inside to sit and work at. The workers were nice and welcoming. I ordered the Strawberry Matcha, and their matcha is foamed on top. You can taste the little strawberry bits in the drink, which made it really good. I also got the blueberry bagel, and the bagel was so soft and fluffy.

Service was nice, interior is cute, coffee drinks were tasty. It was a little hard to find, tucked away in warehouses, there's a small plaza with a Jimmy John's sandwich shop. The coffee shop is right next to the hair salon. There were a lot of people on their computers, working/studying on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the Jeju tangerine espresso tonic. It's carbonated and refreshing. I haven't had anything like it. I would get it again. I also ordered the Biscoff latte at 50% sweetness, and that was good too. I haven't tried any of their pastries, but it was cute to try out this shop!

Finally tried this coffee shop! If you would like to try different and unique and awesome coffee or matcha, this place is definitely worth trying. I can't drink coffee so I tried their biscoff oat latte with decaf espresso shots and it was one of the best latte I ever had. The service is very friendly and chill vibe and quick. I love how this place interior is clean and comfortable.

Such a cool spot! My partner and I stopped by after a run nearby because we wanted to try somewhere new, and I'm so glad we did. Parking was quick and easy, and the café itself has a really inviting atmosphere. There's plenty of seating, and one entire wall is covered by a massive TV that was playing the World Cup while we were there, which made it a fun place to sit and hang out. For reference, we visited around 11 a.m. on a Tuesday, so it wasn't very busy. The service was great. The employees were friendly, made conversation while we ordered, and even brought our drinks over to our table after we got distracted watching the game. It was a small gesture, but one that made the experience feel a little more personal. They even said goodbye from a distance after we left. I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte, and my partner got a Vanilla Latte with cold foam. Both drinks were smooth, well-balanced, and flavorful without being overly sweet. Personally, I would've liked a slightly stronger espresso flavor, but that's just my preference. I could definitely always just ask for an extra shot! Overall, they were both really enjoyable. This is definitely somewhere I'd come back to, not just for the coffee, but for the atmosphere. It's the kind of place that's easy to spend a while in, and I'm already looking forward to trying more of the menu.

The staff and vibe is as relaxing as the wall experience lol. Get the scones!!! Blueberry was delicious and fun fact someone here had a mom that makes them! Delicious and the presentation was a level up! As I do, I asked for the person at the counters favorites coffee drink made the way they like it best. Delicious!!!! Boat Latte did not disappoint! Will come back again and try another scone and another of their beautifully crafted coffees.

Lots of parking and seating Cute cafe Matcha strong flavor We tried the cinnamon toast matcha and the jeju matcha latte which were good Also tried the ube and earl grey scones - i wish it came w some jam and butter cause it was a bit dry to eat Large tv screen - we watched japan vs Netherlands world cup game there - fun and chill vibe Will definitely be back

Stopped by Before & After Coffee Shop recently, and the first thing that caught my attention was the name. It's such a cute concept, and thankfully the coffee shop itself lives up to it. The café is located in a larger plaza surrounded by several other businesses, making it easy to find. There's plenty of parking available, which is always a plus. The only thing I'd note is that the parking lot has a lot of turns and connecting sections that lead to additional businesses deeper into the complex. It can feel a little narrow in certain spots, and traffic tends to keep moving, so just be mindful of other cars while navigating through the lot. Once inside, the space felt bright, clean, and welcoming. The menu was easy to read and not overwhelming, which I appreciated. There was plenty of seating available, making it a comfortable spot whether you're meeting a friend, catching up on work, or just enjoying a drink. I originally came in for two drinks that immediately caught my attention: the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha and the Biscoff Cookie Latte. I ended up purchasing both, but since the Biscoff latte wasn't for me, I'll save my thoughts on that drink for a future visit after I've had the chance to try it myself. For this visit, I ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha, and the presentation was adorable. They topped the drink with actual Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal pieces resting on the foam, which immediately made me smile, because Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cereal was a childhood favorite of mine. As for the flavor, it's important to know what you're ordering. If you're looking for a traditional matcha experience where the earthy notes and quality of the matcha are the star of the show, this probably isn't the drink for you. Once mixed, the dominant flavors are cinnamon, sweet cereal milk, and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Personally, I thought it was delicious, but it drinks more like a fun dessert-inspired specialty beverage than a classic matcha. If you have a sweet tooth, enjoy creative drinks, or just want something nostalgic and different, I'd absolutely recommend giving it a try. The café also has a large screen mounted on one wall, and during my visit it wasn't loud or distracting at all. It actually felt like a nice place to study, work, or have a conversation. I'm not sure what the atmosphere is like later in the day, especially if sports or other events are being shown, but during my visit it was relaxed and comfortable. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be back. Between the Biscoff Cookie Latte and several coffee options that caught my eye, I already have a reason to return. If you're looking for a cute coffee shop with plenty of seating, easy parking, and creative specialty drinks, Before & After Coffee Shop is worth checking out.

My new favorite coffee shop! The interiors and ambiance of this place is so welcoming. They also have giant uno cards, Jenga, and other games you play while you wait. I love their huge projector screen. So peaceful. The scones are amazing as well. I also love their honey oat coffee. Even better with lactose free alternatives.

before n after has become one of my favorite go to cafes! i personally love the strawberry matcha with oat milk. the matcha flavor is strong & the texture is very smooth and creamy. it's a pretty good study spot too! lots of tables but the outlets are only located by the walls. staff are nice as well. i would highly recommend :)

Loving this cafe~ The ambiance is super cozy and laid-back--we had the best time just chillin'. I totally loved the mirror inside that looks amazing reflecting the sunset. My niece was craving matcha and it was good. Would've been cool to see a few more matcha options on the menu though. I'm definitely trying that strawberry latte next time. We also had a blast playing some fun games while we were there. It was great family chill time. Oh, and the service was friendly, there's a restroom inside, plus plenty of parking, which is super convenient. Solid 4 for the matcha and a solid 5 for the vibe!

Chill Korean cafe vibes in La Palma. Went for an after dinner dessert. Parking was plentiful in the large plaza. Ordered the strawberry latte and an earl grey scone, and also had a taste of the Korean rice latte. The strawberry latte was pretty good, I think could have used some fresh strawberries along with less preserves, as it was a little too sweet - but didn't mind it overall. The Korean rice latte was also a little on the sweeter side also. The scone was a bit too dry for my liking - so may pass on that next time around. Overall - the vibe is pretty good with the large screen (though wonder how hot it would get in the summer time) - might switch up the scone for a cookie next time though.

Boat Latte (Biscoff Oat Latte) and Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha Latte
Jocelyn A.

My sister recommended Before n After and we love a good matcha, so we definitely had to try! We ordered the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Matcha & the Boat Latte. Both were so good and definitely recommend. They did have some food/snack items, we didn't try but would love to come back and order. They had seating inside which seems like such a cool place to study or hang out with friends. They have tons of parking in their parking lot, and it was super easy to find. Hope to come again soon!(:

The drink had actual chunks of fruit too. The bad: I ordered wintermelon tea but they ran out. I also wanted to use the rest room but it was out of order. There's no outdoor seating. I was down the street at Curry Lounge for dinner and my friend wanted me to have the ultimate cultural experience. He told me to order Meeta Paan. I was under the impression I was having dessert. This was not that. I'm Mexican, this was wild! I took one bite, tried to swallow it and puked. I tried so hard to hold it down. This flavor profile was nuts! I did enjoy everything about What-A-Paan, the man helping me at the counter was watching his soap opera & assembling the Paan, he was very happy and kind, complimented my dimples--he said saffron was the best flavor, I trusted whatever he was doing. I ordered 3 pieces to take home and share with my family So basically we still have 3 pieces left. Wasn't in search for pot, paan is what I got…read more Paan is an Indian post-meal mouth freshener & digestif. Paan comes in many variations, from salty to herbal, and is used in Hindu ceremonies. Made from the betel leaf, I wanted to expand my culinary profile & give paan a try. I've seen betel nut/leaf featured on the Travel Channel & other shows. Known for it's intoxicating effects (some say similar to a dram of whiskey), my research has led me to believing betel nut/leaf's intoxication occurs only when combined with slaked lime, for the absorption of the alkaloid stimulants. Plus, it causes the red staining of teeth. Unfortunately, the combination is carcinogenic, leading to tumors, especially oral. The man tending the store, the paan wala (paan maker), greeted me as I walked in. All the various toppings reminded me of an ice cream/frozen yogurt shop. $3 a piece, I wanted to try 2 types of paan, but the paan wala made me 2 meetha paan, before I could correct him. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=UDWcWkc6o3ulLwZ0pm0H6Q&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select_video=u4mUH2VBqEzWQvatgjjHpw&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Meetha (sweet) paan- https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=_S144lYYhnraiOdNv687YQ&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Coconut, candy coated spices & other accoutrement, wrapped loosely in a betel leaf, the meetha paan was akin to an after dinner mint, a spray of Binaca, and Chiclets all blended together. Assuming I might feel an energy boost from the betel leaf, similar to coca leaf, I actually felt a bit tired. But, could be just me, too. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=t4QI7UY1l-O5BnUXnVmVKA&userid=xsT4KZTu_KnOVavtuXn4RA Service was good. The paan wala was hospitable, and answered questions I had. There are a few parking spaces in front, with street parking also an option. Scratch off paan from my to-try list. While $3 does seem a bit much, and I can buy the topping ingredients from an Indian grocer, I experienced paan the authentic way - from a paan wala assembling everything together right in front of me. Not a treat I expect to desire often, I am intrigued in trying other types of paan. Knowing I have What-A-Paan local to me, I can always stop by and purchase a paan or two, whenever I choose.

Parking: They're located in a high foot traffic plaza, so finding a parking spot can be difficult. Ambiance/Environment: They have a small space with a decent amount of indoor seating. The tables and seats were kept clean. There's cute decor from the ceiling as well. This is the type of spot where you'd bring your family with younger kids for something sweet, while the adults sit and talk. When we visited, my family and one other family pretty much took up all the tables lol. Service: There was only one worker behind the counter serving and making the drinks and desserts. She doesn't acknowledge anyone. It wasn't too busy, but throughput took a while since she was by herself. There's two kiosk to order from. You don't really interact with the worker until she brings out your order. Desserts & drinks: We ordered a mixture of almost everything. We noticed there were a few menu items that were out of stock. I ordered a mango pamelo sago, my sister ordered a brown sugar boba milk tea, my cousin ordered an americano, and my other cousin ordered a strawberry & cream eggette. I thought the mango pamelo sago was okay; the mango flavor was lacking except for the actual mangos. There was plenty of sago, but I thought this dessert was underwhelming. My sister thought the boba was okay bc it had an interesting texture, and the drink itself was lightly sweet than what she's used to. My cousin thought the coffee was okay. The only thing we all enjoyed was the eggette. It's a bubble waffle with ice cream and fresh fruits, which is pretty difficult to mess up. Pricing: Prices are pretty high for the portions offered. Overall, the desserts were underwhelming and some didn't meet our expectations. The eggettes are most likely the only thing we'll come back for.
