    Beercode burger and fries
    Eugene G.

The staple of almost any restaurant in the country is a burger and fries. Beercode Kitchen in Terminal A at Bradley Airport serves a fantastic burger! Cooked medium rare, huge with lettuce, tomato and grilled onions on a terrific bun. The fries were plentiful, crispy on the outside and a soft center. If you're hanging around Terminal A and hankering for a burger, check out the Beercode Kitchen

Lobster roll - Lobster meat is placed inside a soft bun, forming a lobster roll, with visible chunks of lobster. French fries are served alongside on a white tray. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment at Beercode Kitchen & Bar, which offers a variety of seafood and American dishes.

So I never thought I'd say airport food is good, but the lobster roll at Beercode was legit good! I knew I was going to have a tight connection, so opted to get a takeout order here and best decision ever! The lobster roll was perfection and the fries held up well too. Price wasn't terrible for airport food either. When I'm at Hanford airport I'll be back!

Beercode was really good!! Forgot to take pics, but I had the lobster roll and my husband had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. They were tasty and the fries were well made. Service was friendly, quick, and the prices were alright. This was a nice surprise given that BDL doesn't have many choices for food. I will definitely come back the next time I'm looking to eat at the airport!

Prosciutto Omelette - A breakfast plate includes two slices of toasted bread, a portion of hash browns, and a folded omelette topped with green sauce. The meal is served on a white plate in a restaurant with a dark interior, visible tables, chairs, and condiment bottles in the background.

Sat quickly but took the staff a few minutes to get to me. After 4 others sat at tables next to me... With that said, the waitress assisted me quickly and food and coffee came out quickly and tasted ok. Needs seasoning... We are in New England though and there are times where I really miss the south, where food is always seasoned.

Lager, lobster roll that comes with fries. - A plate holds a lobster roll with a toasted bun filled with lobster meat and other ingredients, alongside a serving of French fries. A glass of beer with a light golden color is placed behind the plate on a wooden table. The background includes a napkin, utensils, and a wire basket with condiments, indicating a casual dining setting.

So often airport food is a disappointment. This meal was PERFECT. A cold lager, Connecticut Lobster roll and fries. The lobster was fresh, tender and generous. The fries look like nothing special yet they were just right! The server was friendly and quick. I'm so glad I decided to grab a bite! I don't usually eat bread OR fries but I have zero regrets.

The menu from Beercode Kitchen & Bar includes sections for draft beers, bottles and cans, cocktails, and wines. Draft beers list options like Michelob Ultra, Blue Moon, Modelo, Sierra Nevada Hazy Little Thing, and Sam Adams seasonal beers with prices. Bottles and cans include Coors Light, Miller Lite, Budweiser, Stella Artois, Dos XX, and others, with prices ranging from $7 to $9. Cocktails feature drinks like Mimosa, Tito's Bloody Mary, American Mule, Old Fashioned, and Runway Margarita, priced at $15. Wines are available in 5oz servings, including options like Benvolio, Brut Champagne, Tommasi, Daschwood, Columbia, and Dough, with prices from $13 to $18.

I don't remember what occupied this space before the renovations, but I do know in all my years traveling to BDL there were very few restaurants or bars that I would go out of my way for at this airport. I was told by Isabel the amazing bartender they have only been open for about a week or so. As you'd expect with any new location this place is spic n span clean and beautifully decorated and the bar and seating area are well thought out. I got here early and with a day of travel ahead of me I definitely wanted to grab a bite to eat before my first flight, but past experience has shown that the food at the airport bars not only here but across the board are just microwaved or of poor quality most of the time, yes there are exceptional but unless your at a major hub the choices just aren't that good - I asked Isabel about the food preparation and she was excited to tell me it's all made fresh so I could order anything on the menu the way I want it. Well after ordering fried eggs over medium, bacon, hashbrowns and toast it was all exactly what she stated and served hot and delicious and after pairing this with a few top shelf Bloody Mary's it was definitely a winning combination - as with all airports it's not cheap to eat, this ended up costing around fifty dollars without the tip but it was all of good quailty as were the pours. I know going forward this will be my hangout when waiting on flights out of BDL - all the staff was friendly and professional and Isabel is a gem...

Well, staff was excellent. Food arrived in a timely fashion. My breakfast was good and filling. I had an omelette. Few options there. Mine was with a Brie and a side of bacon. Bacon was extra. I did like the bar tender's friendliness. She was profesional and customer oriented.

The view from a booth - A modern airport bar featuring a wooden interior with a mural displaying various words for beer. Patrons are seated at the bar and at tables, some using laptops or phones. The bar counter has bottles and glasses, with overhead lighting and a ceiling with black panels. The seating includes bar stools and chairs, and the background shows a digital screen and other airport areas.

I'm not how to best say this, but it didn't feel like an airport restaurant. Kindness , waitress checked on me , food was amazing , great spot to check out. I had the Prochuito, Brie, and pesto omelettte...yum yum . I needed to be in and out due to my flight time, and they were happy to help and tell me how much time things would take. Check it out if you are at Bradley. It's a really pleasant experience.

Buffalo chicken sandwich and fries - The image shows a tray with French fries, a chicken sandwich with a bun, fried chicken, blue cheese dressing, and a slice of tomato, along with a dollop of ketchup. The tray is lined with red and white checkered paper. In the background, part of a bar counter with condiments, a glass of water, and a person standing behind the bar are visible.

The pizza was good, but the martini ultimately put a damper on the overall experience.

We waited in line 20-30 minutes, but it flew by as we chatted away. Once we were seated, service was quick and friendly. The menu isn't super extensive in terms of appetizers (they have two salads and a burrata); the main attraction is pizza! So pizza it was. All pizzas are offered in a small (12''), medium, and large size. I ordered a small Calabrese and it was plenty. The pie was slightly bigger than 12'' and at first I thought I'd eat it all because it's thin crust. Negative. I ate half of it and was stuffed. My pizza had pieces of flat sausage, (little) pepperoni, and Calabrian peppers, which were definitely on the spicy side. As for the toppings, I appreciated that they didn't skimp out on them, which was the same for my other friends' own pies. Frank Pepe has two locations next to each other. One is their original building, which is usually for Yale-out only, though they have limited seating (you have to be ushered in from the line that forms at the main building). I ordered one with pepperoni, sausage and fresh peppers as opposed to roasted ones (which is an option) for pickup. The restaurant was nice. If you're a Prince (the musician, not the one stripped of his title -- too soon?) fan you may love the purple hues. The crust was good chewy. I loved the pepperoni. They cupped and crisped, but in a slightly different visual way than many cup and crisp pepperoni. Very cool. Tasted great too. The fresh peppers ended up being red rather than green. This is a personal preference, but I prefer green. I like the flavor of the green juice better on a pizza. I also think the green color pops better since the sauce and pepperoni are both red. I liked the pizza, but I didn't love it. I couldn't figure out why at first. I think the primary reason was the sausage. It wasn't bad. I just didn't connect with the flavor. And also I prefer larger pieces, than the smaller crumbles Camille's used. If I had this pizza without the sausage, I would have liked it better. I do have a favorable impression of Camille's though. I would definitely return. 4.25 Stars

Luckily, they had just opened, so we were seated upon arrival. We got two pies: the Clam Casino and the Portrait of New Haven. The PoNH was good. The ricotta was a nice contrast to the sausage and red peppers. The Clam Casino was worth the journey by itself, however. It turns out clams on a pizza is a great idea. Large whole clams and bacon with cherry peppers? Damned right. I wasn't familiar with New Haven brand ("apizza" as I've now been told), but the char on the bottom from the wood-fired oven is crucial at holding some topping combinations to a higher echelon than others (where it deflates others): see the other-worldly good Clam Casino versus this-could-be-better-without Portrait of New Haven.
