Coffee is lavazaa which is okay coffee. Coffee wasn't too strong but it also lacked any flavor beyond milk. The tacos did take about 15 minutes to make, and I appreciate the attention but it did takes while to come out. The tacos were actually pretty good! The delay was because they did a heavy burned cheese layer on the tortilla. The avocado creama, creamy eggs, spicy homemade chorizo, and pickled onion lead to a very well balanced and well seasoned bite. Plus they were huge in size but every bite offered a similar experience. If I had to be a stickler, there was a lot of potatoes on each taco. Filler is fine, but I did notice the amount. As a taco, it's a very solid contender to one of the better tacos I've had in ct. the quality is there, the quantity is plentiful, and the price is right. If I only got the tacos, and I was warned that it would be a few minutes to make sure they came out right, then it would be a five-star taco. Because the coffee is okay and there was a bit of a wait, I did dock a star because of it. It's a great place for a local breakfast and lunch spot. The potatoes were well seasoned, though. One thing to note: when we asked for orange juice, we were given a Tropicana orange blend, which tasted a little off. Not expired, just not regular orange juice. Seating is limited, so bigger parties may have to wait. Also, it's cheaper if you bring cash. The scallops were numerous, the specialty gazpacho so filling, I only ate half, the tagliatelle was perfect. The grilled artichokes are a fave for me. I gave the ice cream from my cinnamon roll a la mode to my husband so it worked out well for both of us. All of us loved our food and the experience. But we were so talkative, I never got pics of their meals or any of our drinks. My husband loved his beer, my cousin her wine, her husband his drink. In fact the waitress really should confirm customers know it comes with a sauce and verify they want it. The waitress did let me know the owner routinely travels to NYC for some reason to get his steaks. She didn't know from where in NYC. I almost forgot, instead of typical bread rolls to have while waiting for your food, they give a garlic and tomato sauce roll. The service in the morning is sad. There are 2 young ladies that love to sit on the bar back faced away from customers looking at the TV and chatting. The girl with glasses is the worst. There was a middle aged lady who was good on Monday and a thin gal with long hair on Friday that was good but the other days I had to place my own order and left after eating. My company pays for the breakfast. At night the service is better but the drinks are $12 for a tiny watered down drink and marginal food. The guy told me that the burger wasn't great so I had the wings. The wings were the smallest I had ever seen and they were breaded too! Not a good value or taste for dinner. I ate there on Sunday night and made sure I went out the rest of the week.
