This was an adorable place to have dinner. I loved the side and the service was great! The food came out quickly too! I think I'm kind of obsessed with Mexican style food. I ordered their chicken quesadilla and it was del ious! It was a nice balance of chicken and cheese. The side toppings were a nice touch. I love topping my quesadilla with guacamole. For dinner we shared the chicken and steak fajitas. I love that you have an option of corn or flour tortillas. The portion is definitely big enough for 2 but not if you're feeling a little hungrier than usual. Overall, great dining experience and good food.

Stopped at Huasteca when we were absolutely starving and craving Mexican food. The menu is really big with lots of great choices. The interior is also very pretty with nice decor. The free chips were really good, the salsa was a little mild but still good. After we placed our order, our food came incredibly fast. I was honestly so surprised when I saw the server coming around the corner within 10 minutes of placing our order. The food was good, my friend got a burrito and it didn't have any veggies which we thought was kind of strange but overall it was fine. My enchilada was good and the beans and rice were super flavorful.

This place is so underrated, we went on a sunday for labor day weekend and it was really relaxed not too many people there! The waiter was very nice and fast too! the place was clean and very welcoming too. we got complimentary chips and salsa and ordered elote, chicken empanadas, birria tacos, shrimp fajitas, and finally churros. not overly expensive and very amazing portions! the churros are a must have the best i've ever had and i've had MANY i forgot to take a picture of the elote, empanadas and churros but they're exactly as pictured here! AMAZING will be coming back for sure!

The perfect dinner on a cold rainy day after a hard day at work. The food came out piping hot and the beer was icy cold. The server was also very nice. I'm sad that we don't have tacos this good back home. The menu is small so they really focus on the items they do have and it shows. Highly recommend!

We have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while & finally got the chance. It's nicely decorated & very clean. The wait staff is very personable, timely & friendly. The food was wonderful & authentic. I wish my pork adobo tacos were a little more full (see picture), but they were very very good. We enjoyed the chicken fajitas, adobo tacos & birria tacos. We will be back!

I can't get enough of this place. From their friendly staff to the amazing food and drinks. They have the best churros I've ever had. Filled with caramel and fried to perfection. Their espresso martini is also the perfect blend of espresso and alcohol. Wilmer and his staff always make sure I have a great time!

We have not been here for a while.everything tonight was awesome! The drinks to appetizers of empanadas to my shrimp enchiladas were amazing and so delicious ! Every bite was full of thick tasty shrimp! The sauces were tasty and not too spicy! This time we sat in the bra- I do not remember this area being so spacious and bright! The seats and tables were great and the bar itself was expanded from the prior establishment. This truly was an enjoyable and delicious meal!!

My friend and I were in the area and searched some places to eat. We searched on Yelp and we chose this restaurant. Huasteca was inspired by the Historical Huasteca region in the southeast of San Luis Potosí, the northeast of Querétaro and Hidalgo, and the extreme north of Veracruz and Puebla. The restaurant had a beautiful sitting area outside but we chose to sit at the bar. I ordered a Passion Fruit Margarita and wow!!What a punch. It was strong, but I don't mind a nice strong drink. The passion fruit balanced the drink with the citrussy notes. Additionally, I ordered the Birria Tacos. The first bite was love at first sight!! What a mouthful of flavor explosion. The meat was cooked to perfection. It was very flavorful and you can definitely can tell the meat was cooked for hours. The pickled onions were delicious and the Birria Consommé was so delicious that I could of just ate it by itself. What a great dish. We also met the Bartender Alfie who was very informative and had a great personality. He informed us that the owner owns Frida's Restaurant in Hartford, Connecticut. What a great tip because I will check that spot out to. I've heard a lot of great reviews about that restaurant from the Yelp community. The customer service was great and the food was definitely delicious. I will definitely be back again.

Sooo definitely mixed feelings on this spot. Some friends and I wanted to hang out for Cinco de Mayo and came across this Mexican restaurant on Insta. Looked promising, I called up and they told us the wait wasn't too bad. It was a cute bar and eatery with outdoor umbrella seating. Service was kinda slow....like 20-25 mins for a drink slow. I will say the passion fruit margarita was pretty tasty! We had two rounds and I can say they weren't stingy with the tequila! Drinks were 11 bucks a piece. Average cost. Food - ehh. The chips and salsa were served automatically and was unlimited. I really did enjoy the warm tortilla chips and the housemade salsa. He had the perfect amount of kick to it with chunky fresh veggies! We ordered a sampler for an appetizer. The only thing on the sampler we liked were the mango habanero wings and the chicken taquitos. The quesadillas and nachos that came with the sampler were very basic. We also ordered empanadas, which had a perfect yellow coloring and crispy outside. The problem was both empanadas, chicken and beef were stuffed with potatoes. The potato meat ratio was not even close. The dipping sauce served with them was very bland, so we decided to ask for more salsa. (Pro-move) Overall, I've decided I would return for drinks and drinks only at the bar. But it wouldn't be at the top of my list.

Great food, great service. We got the burrito and birria tacos, both were delicious. We were often checked on to see if we needed anything. Everyone was so nice. Thanks for a good lunch!

Had heard about this restaurant on instagram from a fellow yelp reviewer. I knew I had to try it when seeing the birria tacos.. They did not dissapoint! I would have ordered another plate if I could finish them. Walking in, we were greeted with a smile and asked if we'd like a table or booth. We were sat promptly, chips and salsa were brought to the table right away. The salsa is actually one of my favorites from mexican spots I've been. Perfect consistency and touch of heat. We had ordered the queso dip for an appetizer. If I'm being honest, we didn't eat it. Was graciously taken off of the bill. It unfortunately tasted like melted american cheese. Didn't expect that as everything else was amazing. The quality of the food was on point. The service was lovely. Would recommend coming here. And for those with sensitive stomachs, no issues. Quality to the test :)

My visit to Huasteca Restaurant was the rare instance in which my decision to Yelp search for restaurants while in a new area did not work out. Huasteca, which is a Mexican Restaurant in Windsor, has 4.5 stars on Yelp. The restaurant appearance and service were both fine. I ordered the Enchilada de Mexico, which consisted of a chicken enchilada, a cheese enchilada and a beef enchilada, with a verde sauce, white sauce and rojo sauce, respectively, designed to emulate the Mexican Flag. It also came with rice and beans. I enjoyed the chips and salsa, which had a bright and fresh flavor. Otherwise, I found the meal disappointing on almost every level. The appearance didn't work. I've ordered this type of enchilada dish before because it's a good way to try more than one flavor profile. If you look at my pic, you'll see that the sauces don't work color-wise. Not red enough. Not green enough. I don't think I've ever scene worse execution of this concept color-wise. The seasoning was off across the board. The beans and rice both needed more salt. The ground beef in the rojo enchilada and the chicken in the verde enchilada were not seasoned in a memorable way. The sauces were barely noticeable. The cheese enchilada was the biggest miss. The filling consisted of strands of shredded cheddar cheese. Some strands were almost melted, some were somewhat softened by heat, but many strands had the texture of right out of the grocery store bag. I captured this in a pic. Perhaps Huasteca is better at other dishes, but I can't give them a pass since enchiladas are a prominent component of the menu. 2 Stars

The brewers were brewing, and the space inside was nice. They also had an expansive outdoor area and plenty of parking. The drinks were well done, lots of flavors and varieties on tap. No one complained about the beers though the drinks were small for the price. The food venue towards the back was pumping out pizzas from a giant pizza oven with a blazing fire. I ordered some appetizers from the menu for my team to share. Meatballs, elote, and waffle fries. The apps were not easily shareable but we made it work. Waffle fries were generic and not crispy enough. The elote was corn pancakes rather than corn on the cob. My mistake for not fully reading the menu. Flavor was good but messy. Meatballs were good in terms of flavor and consistency, got a decent amount for the price too. The meatballs were the best bite. The pizza is trying to be New Haven style but is missing the structure. Way too floppy and heavy for the style of crust. Needs to be lighter on the sauce and cooked just a couple minutes more to really solidify that bottom and get rid of the tip droop. Cheese had a good elasticity to it though, good cheese pulls. As an informal event venue, it's pretty good but pricy for what you get. As a local brewery, if it can keep its events constant then it will do well. As a food venue, it's high for where it is but the quality is reasonable. A few more shareable apps beyond pizza and just a few small tweaks to the pies and they will be great.

I would say 5/5 for our server. The food left much to be desired and was a huge disappointment. The factory French toast was burnt - twice. It was charred and hard on the outside. We returned it the first time since it was inedible and it came out maybe 5% less burnt the second time. My husband got the huevos rancheros tacos and was super gassy until the next morning. This almost never happens with him lol. Chicken Little sandwich was so-so. The cheddar biscuit was overtly salty. The fried chicken itself had no salt. I do not eat Ham but my husband who tried it said the ham cheese and biscuit would almost make it too salty. I asked for some hot honey to balance my sandwich. I got a butterscotch caramel latte which was actually quite good! Black coffee was not good. We could see the chef from the kitchen window. He did not seem very passionate or attentive. I had high hopes for this place but will not be returning especially after the burnt french toast and the GI symptoms my husband experienced.

The menu was bigger than I thought with a wide range of options to choose from tacos to sandwiches to burgers. It took a while for the appetizers and drinks to come out. The service was okay at best. There seemed to be only one server, and it even seemed like the chef was helping out deliver food, so it looked like they were understaffed. The server was very friendly though. For appetizers, two dozen wings ($22.95 each) were ordered. The honey mustard and Kentucky bourbon BBQ were the chosen sauces. The quality of wings were very good. They varied in size and were extremely crispy. They seemed to be double fried. The honey mustard sauce was flavorful. There was a little inconsistency with the amount of sauce, but not a huge deal. The Kentucky bourbon BBQ was an elevated BBQ sauce to me. There was a slight bourbon flavor, but nothing over powerful. For my meal, I had the squealer burger ($15.95). I opted for a side salad, which was terribly overdressed, which was unfortunate. The burger was a half pork, half beef burger with American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mustard, and mayo. The meat was cooked to my liking and there was an ideal ratio with the bread and filling. There was something salty about this burger, but I could not pinpoint what it was exactly. Overall, though, a satisfying burger. Will I go back? I would.
