This is NOT one of the reviews you should skip. And I'm not having a bad day I want to take out on a review. This place had 4.4 stars when I found it after visiting a cleaning my employees were doing in south Windsor in Pepin Place (named for legitimacy and to prove this is not a robot) The server had a weird energy from the jump but it was ignorable and I'll keep my race out of it; we've all had bad days. She let me try a beer before I eventually ordered it, everything was fine. We ordered our food, and with a staggering 4-5 other people in the restaurant, our food took much longer than it should've in my honest opinion. That is just icing, not my main issue, but since we're reviewing a restaurant and not a doctors office, yeah... I explicitly asked if the half nachos were a good size for one person, and the server seemed adamant they would be so I got that and onion rings. The food finally came and I'm not exaggerating when I saw there were 12-15 chips on the plate. For a half order, the chicken portion was fine but I didn't order a pile of chicken. My lady's smash burger was probably the least appetizing thing I've ever had brought to a table I was sitting at. We respectfully let the server know her burger looks terrible and I admitted to eating some of the nachos so I'd pay for it, but that I would like to send the nachos back. My son with me had chicken tenders and got be with us, his food looked more appetizing than anyone else's. The server/bartender took it upon herself to take our comments about the food personal, which was evident by her snap response to let us know the obvious- that she didn't cook it (Sherlock is ALIVE). It all went left from there; the server brought me a check with an extra drink on it, tried to refuse printing me another check but I made her. She brought the check back and I took it upon myself to compare the check (which only states the general classification of the item, not the item) to the menu. This restaurant is likely charging everyone extra dollars on menu items because I found my son's chicken tenders listed as $14 in the receipt but the menu says $13 (again, numbers inserted to add legitimacy). She tried to tell me she'll just charge a dollar less than what the receipt says but that's not gunna work for me (don't know about you) at a place that just tried to over charge me TWICE within a 3 mins span. Server took it upon herself to call her boss, who unfortunately was not in today. I'm confident her story is missing key details and this review is a love letter to him directly. It's also a warning that I scanned my receipt, left this review stating it was about $58, and I'm sure they don't want the consequences of retaliating by trying to overcharging me for a third time. I'd stay far away from this place if you enjoy good service and quality meals. read more

This is a highly-rated local favorite and I can't believe it took my this long to check it out. A classic pub fare ... friendly, casual setting. While known for their exceptional wings and burgers, I've heard praises of the entire menu, which also includes what I ordered... the buffalo chicken wrap ..perfect for a lighter, yet equally flavorful, meal. The portions are generous and great value. Weekend live music, music bingo every Thursday night and karaoke events...there's always something for everyone. read more

Let me start off by saying this is more of a bar, than restaurant. While there are tables in both the "restaurant" area and bar area, it has an if you're looking for a drink and maybe want to eat too we do that, but it's not the first thing you think about. My husband and I were expecting a restaurant from what the reviews said. If you're looking for bar bites with your drinks then this is ideal. My husband I don't really drink often, so this wasn't for us. We ordered mozzarella sticks, and pretzel bite flight for apps, they were tasty. I got a chicken caesar wrap, and my husband had the chicken finger platter. My wrap was okay, my husband didn't enjoy the chicken fingers (more breading than chicken). Given the atmosphere, and average food, I highly doubt I'd return to this establishment. read more

My daughter and I were in the mood for wings and was suggested to check out the Pub awhile ago and heard there wings were very good. If you like wings give this pub a try. They are very crispy and tasty. It's in our local area and 1st time for everything. They have a variety of 13 different sauces to choose from and our server was very helpful and pleasant. I also tried the tuna melt which was very good. They serve it with lettuce and tomato but I opted out on the tomato's as I'm not a fan of them. The sandwich comes with fries and for only $8. Prices here are very reasonable and they also have bands playing on the weekend. I think they serve food until 11pm. Great place to check out. read more

FREE BREAKFAST with the purchase of an alcoholic beverage??!! Sign us up!!! Fast friendly service and a very tasty breakfast! My husband got the BLT which was $2.50 with the purchase of a beverage, and I got the breakfast and added sausage, for a grand total of $3 for my meal. We are not locals, just in the area, and we were greeted and served very promptly and treated like friends. Also this place is deceivingly large inside, from the outside it looked tiny. Back in the olden days we used to hit this place. It was next to the bowling alley and was known as J.Fitches pub. Walk in there now and it's pretty much the same vibe. No complaints here, I liked J Fitches too. Deep fried green beans with a wasabi dip. Pretzel bites. Deep fried corn nuggets. The apps were up to snuff. Had a BLT. Tasted like a BLT, and the kettle chips on the side rocked. The weakest link? That would be the wings. On the sog side, tossed about in a mediocre sauce. Crisp em up guys. Ambience wise we had an older crowd. A live band of rotating bandmates was playing Stevie NIcks and Johnny Cash songs on the loud side, which was ok because we dont want the older crowd nodding out in their beer. The waitstaff and crew were friendly, fast ,and efficient, making everyone feel welcome. I could see coming back with a crew of our own and pounding a few Helles Awaits brews, maybe play a game of pool, and grab a guitar and jump in with the band. Go there. read more

I came here with a group of friends after a wedding because it was pretty close to the hotel where my friends were staying and they had a band. We piled around a small table in the bar and a waitress came right over to take drink and food orders. She then located a large table in the dining area and suggested we could sit there and she'd bring our order over. The band was great, and they brought my friend on stage to play the tambourine with them which totally made her night and was pretty amusing for us. I tried to find them on social media, but no luck. If your not a local don't bother. You'll be ignored, food orders not taken, dry glasses unless you yell or literally turn your flashlight on and beg. Food is ok drinks are heavy and the second star is only because it's cheap. read more

Great local pub (no pun intended). Bartender was really nice and friendly... bar folks were all local and provided for good conversation. Best wings I have found in the Windsor area! Overall it had a nice hometown bar feel, possibly borderline dive bar but in no way is that a bad thing. All the patrons seemed to know each other... I dined alone at the bar and had no trouble striking up a convo with anyone. Bartender was named Nicole... very attentive and nice to talk to. No issues with anything... What a great dive. Some fancy IPA's on tap. Staff are nice and check in with you frequently to see if you need refills. I haven't tried the food here. Monday's there is a setback league. Live music some weekends. Parking convenient and no cover! Drinks are average prices. read more

This is a redneck central stop ! Strap in for some lack of diversity and a lot of yeehas and yahoos! Been here a few times in the past 20 years and it's always the same situation. I reckon a lot of the people from the trailer park comes here for their drinks! Lots of Busch light on tap at this place! Watch out for the deer and bear heads on the wall! Love coming here with my hubby on a Friday night to enjoy watching the karaoke performances. This pub makes a mean Manhattan with extra cherries. The prices are reasonable, great menu choices, good draft list, cozy atmosphere, and friendly staff. In warmer weather we enjoy spending time on the back patio. Nice local spot! read more

A nice place to go to with some friends to get a quick drink after work. They do have karaoke night on the weekends and sometimes they're packed but some nights they're not. The bartenders are really nice and they are quick with their service. Their drinks are pretty cheap and if you go a little earlier on weekends you could grab a couple of food to eat before you get to drinking! Love the Pub. I have been several times recently, and everything I have ordered there has been excellent. The waitstaff is prompt and friendly. They also have many excellent beers on tap. Another reviewer had referred to it as a redneck bar with a lack of diversity. While I am not a regular, I haven't witnessed anything that would support that statement. read more

Amazing place to hang out. Tons to do including live music, karaoke, trivia night, pool, darts, etc! Atmosphere is super chill and they have an outdoor fire pit (my favorite). Love the staff and the food is great. Definitely coming back! read more
