If you're looking for an authentic CT based stout and ale type brewery you've found the place. Great beer choices and in the picture attached is an oatmeal stout that was awesome!

This place was a little hidden gem! It's a bar that is all about soccer! The whole place was filled with soccer decor. They had games to play and a small menu to choose from. They are even serving breakfast on the days soccer is on in the morning! I love a place that has its own unique look and being a soccer fan, we will definitely join the crew one Sunday morning.

    Watch soccer and play darts.

2nd Bridge Brewery is a very small brewery in Manchester. I've only been here a few times. Their parking lot is tiny, and it appears like their space is underground. You have to go down the stairs to get to the brewery. They also have a little deck outside. Inside you'll immediately notice lots of soccer memorabilia, this is a good spot to watch soccer games, or just hang out with friends. There's a variety of games you can play, table games, board games, jenga, darts, etc. However, when it's overly crowded its not as fun, you can't hear each other, the music is playing and you may not find an open seat. Last night was really nice, there was only a handful of people in a group together. My friend and I got beers and chatted for a bit. Paddy Cakes was the beer I got. It's a sour, with a unique smokey undertone. I totally forgot to take a picture of it. This is microbrewery I really love. The atmosphere is so fun, beers are delicious, and you can bring your puppy!

My sister, her boyfriend and I decided to check this place out yesterday as I haven't been here. Located in the same area as the the former Top Shelf, I appreciated the layout of this brewery. The first thing you are greeted by is the looks of other patrons as they are enjoying their drinks. You have two different rooms, the entrance room with some tables and a large screen TV playing the latest sports game while others enjoy some table games like Jenga and Connect 4. The other room decorated by soccer teams and another TV has more patrons and the bar to order your flight and pints. Some benches and tables fill the space as people are chatting and watching the games. Never been here I decided to grab a flight of beer in the hopes to fill up my growlers for myself and my Dad. My sister and I tried Chappy, Druga, Weight of Sound and Farm 2 Go for about $9. Not a bad price for the 4 pours. I just wish that the beers were better. My sister and I was talking about it as we played games but we were remarking that they seemed water down or very bland. I'm not an IPA fan that much and didn't want to get any but these citrus and ales didn't really wow me. I was bummed that I couldn't enjoy any of them enough to grab a growler but I knew I've had better elsewhere.

I stopped by here a couple of Thursday's ago for some afternoon drinks. While 2nd Bridge Brewing wasn't my first choice of brewery, it ended up being the choice for the evening. It's located in a set of buildings which used to house the first woolen mill in the US which is kind of cool. The whole outside definitely feels industrial and there is an abandoned building out back which is sort of cool to look at. As for the brewery itself, it's down a few stairs and consists of a couple of different rooms. Their main room has the bar, their beers on draft and then some seating. The seating in the room where I sat, had the stairs, some seating, dartboards, string lights and the walls were all made of brick. As of I often do whenever I visit a new brewery, I decided to go with a flight here. At 2nd bridge brewery, a fight consists of 4 beers of your choosing at a cost of $9. For my beers on this day I went with the Fruitoria (Tart cherry ale), Silk City (session IPA), Why So Feisty? (IPA) and Citronasphere (IPA). The first beer that I tried was the Fruitoria which was a lighter beer with some cherry flavor that lasted into the finish. Up second was the Silk city and the hops came in quick and hard for this IPA. It wasn't overpowering with bitter flavor which helped it to have a rather pleasant flavor. Third was the Why so feisty? and this was sort of a boring IPA with not much taste at the beginning and then a ton of bitterness on the finish. This was not the beer for me and I actually found it sort of off putting. Last but certainly not least was the Citronasphere which started off with some nice citrusy flavors which continued from the start of the finish. It eventually devolved into a slight bitterness which, while not horrible, wasn't pleasant either. Out of the bunch, the Fruitoria was easily my favorite with the Silk City coming in a distant second. The bottom line for me is that I would probably stop by here again in the future. While i only thought two of the four beers that I had were good, those two were good enough that I would be interested in trying more.

Not a bad little spot! My hubster and I stopped here after dinner with his rents and tried a few of their brews, didn't disappoint! Unfortunately we aren't very close so the frequency we would be out there is slim to none. The spot was a litttttle crammed but they did have a second room no one was in. Because the tap room was small, it was LOUD in there- but that's not reflecting on them. Overall, I would go back if I was in the area & keep trying their beers!

The owner Steve an his family are fantastic! No doubt best beer in Manchester "The one in the back"

the front of the building at night

While the beer variety was fine the quality of the beer was fair at best. It lacked mouth feel and flavor. Also, the vibe of the brewery was dim. Perhaps if I was a huge soccer fan I would be more at home but the soccer banners and games on the tv did little for me. It was a fine place to visit but other breweries in the area very close by have better beer, food, and atmosphere. It was average. Which is fine.

What a great new brewery to the Manchester area. A cool industrial type feel located in a historic mill. Convenient location and use of the space for sure. We decided to check out this locally run brewery their opening weekend and catch some of the World Cup Soccer final. Steven the owner/ brewmaster definitely shows the passion he applied to all his beers when talking to him about his brewery. It's a family run brewery and they all pitch in for sure Now on to the beers , we both ordered flights so we could sample most of his beers offered . Some of my favorites were the Brown Betty toasted ale and the Turn 2 ipa which is hoppy , fruity smooth and complicated tastes for sure. Quite good . To be honest all the beers I tasted were great. On our next visit will try their oatmeal stout, which is usually not my thing. But who knows. Definitely check this new brewery out , it's a cool spot . Like any brewery bring a few snacks to munch on to make it perfect.

Really cool vibe at this new Manchester brewery and they're serving up a delicious and great variety of beers. I am not a huge IPA person and it seems like that is all the breweries offer nowadays with only one or two other types of beers - not here! It's in an old wooden mill building so you get the exposed brick and beams, and they strung up some pretty lights. There are two rooms, one with the bar which was a louder area and another room off of it with smaller tables and more quiet. Each room had a nice big flat screen TV. The service was fast and friendly, joking around with us as we had our 15 month old with us. The provided tic tac toe game kept him occupied and the beer flights ($9 for 4) made us happy! The highlights for me were the Chappy and the Feed the Chickens. My only "wish list" for this place is an outdoor space. Other than that, this place is top notch!

Incredible IPAs, constantly rotating drafts, have never had a bad beer here. Great prices. Delicious food truck. Can enjoy corn hole, darts, games and more. They have great free WiFi, I stop by after work to answer some emails. Would highly recommend. It's a local spot with regulars, worth the drive.

Love when a new spot opens up - was super excited to check this place out. A little tucked away super cute industrial esq type of vibe. Beers were pretty good I had got a flight (can't remember the exact names). Staff is super kind. A little hard to order though when there's a lot of people in that area. There are a few bar chairs and tables directly behind their seating and I kind of felt like I was on top of them while waiting to order. I love the game idea. Jenga and connect four are some of my old school favorites. I enjoyed the seating area in the back as well with the tvs. Overall nice place, great staff, just wish the ordering area wasn't so congested.

Cool place here at 2nd Bridge! Dig the vibe!

This place is HUGE and has so many different vibes all in one building, which I absolutely love. The drink selection is one of my favorite parts. They have so many beers on tap, plus cider flights, sour flights, beer flights -- all different types of flights if you're like me and enjoy trying a little bit of everything. And if beer isn't your thing, they have cocktails too, so everyone in your group can find something they like. The food is just as impressive. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are AMAZING -- crispy, flavorful, and honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The burgers are delicious, and the desserts? Oh my goodness. The deep-fried Oreos are next-level. Atmosphere is where Elicit really stands out. There's the big open beer hall feel inside, but also different sections depending on what kind of night you're looking for. It can be chill and casual earlier in the evening, then turn into more of a going-out/club vibe later on. There's a cocktail bar upstairs, and as the night goes on the energy really shifts. In the summer they have bands (sometimes outside), a full outdoor bar, a fireplace, two inside bars, a little quieter lounge area with couches, and even a small game room. Bathrooms upstairs and downstairs make it convenient, and you can rent rooms for private parties too. I also like how the food ordering works -- they give you a pager and you pick up your food when it's ready. Tables are first come, first serve though, so definitely save your spot because you can lose your seat if you're not careful, especially on busy nights. It does get packed on weekends, so I recommend getting there early if you want a good table for your group. But overall, it's one of my go-to spots in Manchester when I want good drinks, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll keep going back to -- and those Philly cheesesteak egg rolls will always bring me back.

So I was super excited when I saw they were hosting a galentines day drag brunch !! The drag show was amazing !!! But I was disappointed that there was no BRUNCH food . You can't have a brunch show and no brunch . They did offer a regular menu to order from . The other problem is that there were no servers so we had to order food and go downstairs pick up our own food and. Then bring it back upstairs... which is very annoying if you are going there for a show and have to leave to get food ! Not to mention there was an issue doors were suppose to open at 10 am so we got there early to get seats settle in and order food . However the doors open well after 10:30 . And possibly an issue with the bartenders ( not being available) but they were able to figure that out thankfully by the 11 am show . So a lot of issues .. the show itself was amazing . The food was okay . I did end up getting the grilled chicken sandwich which was good ( nothing amazing ) and the fries were plain no seasoning . 3/5 for the food . The drinks were good ! I ordered the strawberrry Hugo spritz that had elderflower in it which I really enjoyed all flavours were balanced equally (4/5 ) and then I tried the peach hard palmer which I was not a fan off (3/5 ) Drag show 10/10 ! ( highly recommend ) I wish they advertised it a just a drag show and not a brunch + show ( since there was no brunch options ) ! And also a very limited Valentine's Day cocktails ( only one option of a red velvet martini) Overall fun event but need to plan events better if they do plan on hosting and consider adding food specific for the event ( or not advertise as brunch .. if you don't plan on offering brunch food ) !

Notice the ceiling kegs at the entrance. The music is a variety of music from the 70's to the 80's. For my first drink, I'm high the Lucky Ducky. This is made with Altos Plata Tequila, Malibu Coconut Rum, Absolute Mandarin Vodka, Bols Peach Schnapps, Bols Blue Curaçao, Monin Sweet and Sour, pineapple juice and Starry. I love the prevention! It is served in a bathtub with a floating ducky! This is good. I can't really taste the alcohol but I like the overall taste. The presentation makes the drink. For our appetizer, we are having the Chicken Pot Stickers which are pan-seared filled dumplings, garlic, ginger, yellow chives, soy ginger sauce and slaw topped with rice sticks, sesame seeds and green onions. These are nice! Extra soy sauce and a rice stick topping. For my next drink, I'm having the Grand Patron Margarita made with Patron Silver, fresh orange and lime slices and topped with a mini bottle of Grand Marnier. Grand Marnier is a premium French orange liqueur made from a blend of Cognac brandy, distilled essence of bitter orange, and sugar, created in 1880 by Louis-Alexandre Marnier Lapostolle. It has a rich, complex flavor profile with notes of orange, vanilla, and hazelnut, and is typically 40% ABV (80 proof). It can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks, in cocktails like the Sidecar, or used in desserts like Crêpes Suzette. They use a thinner salt for the rim. Still hard to taste the alcohol (because of the size of the glass), but as I drink it, the Grand Marnier kicks in! These more like it! For my next item, I'm having the Soup (clam chowder) and Salad Combo (House). The soup is hot and comes with crackers. It's good! The salad is good sized with croutons, it is very good! For my entree, I'm having the Enlightened Cherry Chipotle Glazed Salmon which is oven roasted Atlantic salmon in a savory Cherry Chipotle glaze with roasted asparagus and spinach. This is dipped hot! It tastes great! Very unique! Nice presentation! I love it! For my last drink, I'm having the Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned made with Woodford Reserve bourbon, simple syrup and Angostura bitters. Look at this! They use a large ice cube to slow the dilution process! It's nicely garnished and well-balanced. This tastes great! Good job! For dessert, I'm having one of their World Famous Pizookies - Strawberry Shortcake. This is a buttery sugar cookie, fresh strawberries, rich vanilla bean ice cream and whipped cream. I first visited New Park Brewing in March 2018, when they had just turned a year old. I was very impressed from that first visit and they quickly became one of my Top 5 favorite Connecticut breweries. I recently visited the taproom for the second time ever. I had heard that they started crafting artisanal sourdough pizza pies in recent years and wanted to try them paired up with their excellent beer. I love the whole industrial design vibe that's going on inside the taproom. Since my initial visit, the brewery has also since added an outdoor biergarten and an indoor private event space with a stage and bar (dubbed "The Green Room"). I started off with a short pour of one of my go-tos: "Cloudscape" (IPA). It's delicious, hazy, and full of citrus and tropical fruit notes. For pizza, I ordered the "Soppressata" (red sauce, fior di latte, mozzarella, soppressata, red onion, goat cheese, honey, grana padano) and the "Chef Special" (pecorino cream, fior di latte, mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic glaze, grana padano). To pair with them, I ordered a sampler flight which featured "Little Cloud" (IPA), "Steppe" (Barrel-Aged Saison), "Elmwood" (Dry Cider), and "Double Cloud" (Double IPA). Between the stellar brews and the heavenly pizza, I was in pure bliss! There's a reason why New Park is one of my favorite Connecticut breweries; I hope to be back again and again!
