Get them when you still can as the Monster pizookie is only around for a limited time only. It's a special feature one that they have for a few months. We had to give the monster ice cream one we had to give it a try. It was just ok with the blue ice cream. It was gooey with a chocolate chunk cookie, stacked with Rich Vanilla Bean ice cream(blue), Oreo® crumbles and a side of hard-shell chocolate sauce poured on top. Glad we did get to try it before it's gone but our favorite still is the salted caramel pizookie. The service was alittle slow arriving with our order for a Tuesday evening.

There's specials every day. Mondays are BOGO deep dish pizza. Their deep dish reminds me of Pizza Hut style pizza. However I find the pizza here a tad bit salty. Mozzarella sticks were delicious. Service was okay. Waited a while to be greeted. They have a wonderful list of beers and great craft beers. Great place to hang out with friends. Typical bar food with a full bar. Very casual. A bit loud with the music and conversations.

Our waitress K was nicely, timely and on top of things. The food was above average. Steak good, chowder good, salad dressing amazing, salad had lettuce and carrots that tasted a little aged, wings good. Music & live sports on the screens. Nice tall ceilings & chill lighting.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse - 320 Buckland Hills Dr, Manchester, CT 06042 (Wish I could give 0) I truly wish I could give this location zero stars. From the moment we walked in, the experience was disappointing. All we wanted was a booth. The restaurant was practically empty, yet we were told we'd have to wait 10 minutes for one. Instead, we were seated with the busiest waitress in the place--and it showed. It took 10-15 minutes just to get water and be acknowledged. Throughout the meal, our server only checked on us maybe twice, and never once refilled our drinks. She seemed overwhelmed, even mentioning she had been washing dishes all day, which made me feel bad for her--but it doesn't excuse the lack of service. The food timing was just as frustrating. * Pickled fries came out in about 10 minutes. * Clam chowder took 20 minutes. * My son's classic burger and my veggie pasta took nearly 35 minutes more. He wanted medium rare came out well-done. My pasta tasted like it was left in the oven too long. By the time the entrées arrived, I had lost my appetite. The waitress blamed the kitchen being backed up, but the restaurant was not busy at all. I understand staff can be stretched thin, but when employees are overworked and frustrated, the customer experience suffers. Management needs to step up--support your staff so they can provide the service guests expect. We were driving in from Vermont, and I was genuinely excited to try this location. Instead, it was a letdown from start to finish. Sorry, but this is a hard 1-star review. Do better, BJ's Manchester. Guests deserve better, and so do your employees. Im so disappointed! I had high hopes (based on two previous visits...apparently I need to stick with wings!), big let down. Stopped in today for a lunch date with hubbs. Was seated at a booth, with a bit of a scowl when we declined the Hightower. Waited almost 25 min for our waitress to come to take drink order (she was great, btw). Ordered drinks with meal, cause who knew if the wait would persist. Food came, not too long after. Ordered Chicken Alfredo and Fish/chips. The chicken was the tiniest portion on a ridiculous amount of pasta (overflowing off the bowl. Not pretty) and the Fish was fried beyond being edible. When you cut it, it broke. Also. The bread came after my hubbs was done with his chicken, the bread was burnt. We weren't checked on, asked how anything was, nothing (yes, our waitress was super nice but everyone was in her section and she was crazy busy). Given what we were Served, I wouldn't want to ask either. It can't go well. Im sad I didn't take a pic of the smallest chicken breast ever. Worth $75.00 for lunch? NO MA'AM. Full regret, won't be back. I should have checked yelp first!

Dark Horse Chardonnay Happy Hour 3-7p

BJ's has a lot of good things to offer. This time, I went for the happy hour. The options & portions definitely had me happy. I arrived an hour after it started & was amazed that the restaurant was a ghost town. It didn't pick up until maybe an hour before it was ending. Even then, there was still ample seating in & at the large bar. My only let down was, there isn't a white wine on the happy hour menu. However, I did have 2 glasses of the Chardonnay. So, I wasn't too disappointed. Both the avocado egg rolls and deep dish pizza were tasty & filling. Normally, I have a few options, but I was full & 2 rolls came home. Bj's has a place on my happy hour rotation.

We went for a weekday lunch - $12 lunch menu! We were greeted with friendly and attentive staff. The ambiance was not too loud - perfect for a weekday lunch. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. The lunch portions were the perfect size and price point and very tasty. Everything was executed very well and seasoned great. Mom got the soup and salad - clam chowder and wedge salad. The clam chowder was good but nothing spectacular. The wedge was a great wedge salad. Fresh and homemade blue cheese. I had the Mediterranean Chicken Bowl. I was pleasantly surprised. While it was lower in calories it was not low on flavor. And totally filled me up. Overall I highly recommend this place for a decent lunch. I am not sure about dinner pricing and ambiance.

This place is HUGE and has so many different vibes all in one building, which I absolutely love. The drink selection is one of my favorite parts. They have so many beers on tap, plus cider flights, sour flights, beer flights -- all different types of flights if you're like me and enjoy trying a little bit of everything. And if beer isn't your thing, they have cocktails too, so everyone in your group can find something they like. The food is just as impressive. The Philly cheesesteak egg rolls are AMAZING -- crispy, flavorful, and honestly one of the main reasons I keep coming back. The burgers are delicious, and the desserts? Oh my goodness. The deep-fried Oreos are next-level. Atmosphere is where Elicit really stands out. There's the big open beer hall feel inside, but also different sections depending on what kind of night you're looking for. It can be chill and casual earlier in the evening, then turn into more of a going-out/club vibe later on. There's a cocktail bar upstairs, and as the night goes on the energy really shifts. In the summer they have bands (sometimes outside), a full outdoor bar, a fireplace, two inside bars, a little quieter lounge area with couches, and even a small game room. Bathrooms upstairs and downstairs make it convenient, and you can rent rooms for private parties too. I also like how the food ordering works -- they give you a pager and you pick up your food when it's ready. Tables are first come, first serve though, so definitely save your spot because you can lose your seat if you're not careful, especially on busy nights. It does get packed on weekends, so I recommend getting there early if you want a good table for your group. But overall, it's one of my go-to spots in Manchester when I want good drinks, great food, and a fun atmosphere. Definitely a place I'll keep going back to -- and those Philly cheesesteak egg rolls will always bring me back.

So I was super excited when I saw they were hosting a galentines day drag brunch !! The drag show was amazing !!! But I was disappointed that there was no BRUNCH food . You can't have a brunch show and no brunch . They did offer a regular menu to order from . The other problem is that there were no servers so we had to order food and go downstairs pick up our own food and. Then bring it back upstairs... which is very annoying if you are going there for a show and have to leave to get food ! Not to mention there was an issue doors were suppose to open at 10 am so we got there early to get seats settle in and order food . However the doors open well after 10:30 . And possibly an issue with the bartenders ( not being available) but they were able to figure that out thankfully by the 11 am show . So a lot of issues .. the show itself was amazing . The food was okay . I did end up getting the grilled chicken sandwich which was good ( nothing amazing ) and the fries were plain no seasoning . 3/5 for the food . The drinks were good ! I ordered the strawberrry Hugo spritz that had elderflower in it which I really enjoyed all flavours were balanced equally (4/5 ) and then I tried the peach hard palmer which I was not a fan off (3/5 ) Drag show 10/10 ! ( highly recommend ) I wish they advertised it a just a drag show and not a brunch + show ( since there was no brunch options ) ! And also a very limited Valentine's Day cocktails ( only one option of a red velvet martini) Overall fun event but need to plan events better if they do plan on hosting and consider adding food specific for the event ( or not advertise as brunch .. if you don't plan on offering brunch food ) !

Great burger, not so great tacos…read more Learned that Catsup and Mustard's chef decided to make a new place tied with urban lodge. I'm always down for a good burger, and catsup was one of the best burgers around. So I made the trek to this locale to relive the greatness. Place is a little walk-up order place. Like a roadside snack shack or a ice cream shop. You put your order in, you get a marker, and a server comes out to deliver your meal. We ordered their Diablo burger, some truffle fries, and one of all their tacos. Knew the burger was going to be good, figured the tacos would be too. They were not, at all. The fish taco smelled very fishy and was underseasoned. So you got this smelly soft fish and chewy taco shell and that's about it. The chorizo taco was more like sweet Italian sausage with no flavor. With the same chewy shell. The cilantro lime chicken taco, the chicken was dry and the bang boom sauce was more of a rice Krispy snap crackle and pop. No punch, very little heat. The mister mack was the best of the bunch, with flavors similar to a cheeseburger. Still a chewy shell, but a good bite. The burger and fries were stellar. The Diablo burger was spicy and juicy, tons of toppings and a very thick patty. Bun was soft, toasted, and everything worked together harmoniously. The truffle fries were fresh cut, soaked, double fried, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The truffle was pronounced but not overpowering, and the basalmic catsup and truffle mayo were great dips. If you stick to the burgers, there's lots to love. Avoid the tacos, but the burgers are still really good.

Indoor patio, outdoor patio, couches, high tops, low tops, by the darts, or by the board games. Your choice. Location - 5 starts. Burgers and fries - 5 stars. If we had only stopped there. However, we unfortunately ordered the tacos. One of each to try (I love tacos) And all four tacos were not good. Flavors were just not there. Nothing was seasoned, loved the idea of the cheese between the shells, but honestly the execution just made everything chewy. The fish smelled very fishy - which is never good and definitely wasn't blackened - even though it was supposed to be. So tacos - 2 star. However, overall I am definitely going back. Hopefully order something else on the menu and it will be amazing. Great casual atmosphere to hang with some friends. And I am sure the brewery is amazing too!!! So just stay away from the tacos and you are sure to enjoy your time :))

Friends since high school, the two partners began brewing their own beer using fresh fruit and natural ingredients. Eventually, they had a dream of opening their own brewery. In 2018, they registered their brand as "Blind Faith Brewing Company, LLC". On paper, they are still known under that name. However, sometime before their brick and mortar brewery opened in 2022, they discovered that Vermont-based Magic Hat Brewing Company had already copyrighted the name "Blind Faith" for an English IPA of theirs. Needing a new name quick, Chip and Jim settled on "Almost Famous" in reference to the 2000 film directed by Cameron Crowe. The name is also meant to honor all people who almost got famous but didn't in the end. I recently visited Almost Famous for the first time. I immediately loved the space. It's very spacious with a large taproom, plenty of seating, a private event room, a billiards room, and a classic arcade room. I also loved the Rock 'n' Roll theme that was going on. The bar was built to resemble Marshall amplifiers, truss towers, and the tap handles were all different guitars. I started off with a sampler flight that featured "Anything's Impossible" (American Pilsner), "Tangent" (Tangerine Fruited Sour), "Stranger Than Fiction" (Cream Stout), "Everybody Wants Some!" (Pineapple Vanilla Bean Milkshake IPA) and "Bitch 'B' trippin" (Double New England IPA). The latter two were my favorites. Afterwards, I enjoyed a full pour of "Bubblegumption" (Bubblegum Milkshake IPA). Overall, I had a great experience at Almost Famous. I would love to return with my family in the future; my sons will love the arcade!

A friend introduced him to Dee: a homebrewer with an education background in biomedical science. Atkins, a huge craft beer fan, came on board for the project after Doyle and Dee started getting serious about opening their own brewery. A logo, business plan, and financing were put together. Although the brand was founded in 2015, it took nearly two years to find the right location. In 2017, New Park opened at The Shops at 485 New Park: a former ball bearings factory turned multi-media venue. New Park's mission is to offer consumers the highest quality beverages and experiences that they possibly can. In recent years, the brewery has also begun producing intervention wines, heirloom cider, and sourdough pizza in addition to their artisanal brews. I first visited New Park Brewing in March 2018, when they had just turned a year old. I was very impressed from that first visit and they quickly became one of my Top 5 favorite Connecticut breweries. I recently visited the taproom for the second time ever. I had heard that they started crafting artisanal sourdough pizza pies in recent years and wanted to try them paired up with their excellent beer. I love the whole industrial design vibe that's going on inside the taproom. Since my initial visit, the brewery has also since added an outdoor biergarten and an indoor private event space with a stage and bar (dubbed "The Green Room"). I started off with a short pour of one of my go-tos: "Cloudscape" (IPA). It's delicious, hazy, and full of citrus and tropical fruit notes. For pizza, I ordered the "Soppressata" (red sauce, fior di latte, mozzarella, soppressata, red onion, goat cheese, honey, grana padano) and the "Chef Special" (pecorino cream, fior di latte, mozzarella, arugula, prosciutto, balsamic glaze, grana padano). To pair with them, I ordered a sampler flight which featured "Little Cloud" (IPA), "Steppe" (Barrel-Aged Saison), "Elmwood" (Dry Cider), and "Double Cloud" (Double IPA). Between the stellar brews and the heavenly pizza, I was in pure bliss! There's a reason why New Park is one of my favorite Connecticut breweries; I hope to be back again and again!
